You must visit this little vegan restaurant! They have tons of different options which are all delicious. There’s a little patio in the back with a couple of tables, if you’re lucky to get one of those then make sure to sit down and eat there. Food is already prepared, so you go to the counter and pick the things you want to eat. The owner/chef creates everything herself and is super nice. Go there hungry and make sure to get the vegan Baklavas at the end!

Unbelievable choice of delicious vegan Turkish dishes. Food is fresh, tasty and cheap. I definitely recommend the eggplant dish and the bulgur salad. It's located a bit outside the city center in a charming area.

Amazing vegan food!!! So hearty yet so simply and cleanly cooked! If you are craving home style cooking from your mother, come here! The portions are huge and they charge a very cheap price per plate. The owners are incredibly lovely. The shop is very small and rather dull so don't expect a long dinner sort of vibe, but perfect for a quick and simple feed.

The place have vegan food , and it is only one positive part... oh, also prices are fine. We paid around 10$ for food on photos. It is Very dirty inside. Food is very hard (a lot oil) and not enough fresh vegetables. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who prefers clean and healthy food... Also they don’t speak English 😰

Can’t recommend this place enough! Real Turkish food made vegan. This is a small place with about 3 tables, run by a local couple who make the traditional food, using vegan ingredients. We were 4 people and got four plates of assorted dishes so got to try everything! There was one patty which was a bit dry, but other than that everything was just wonderful. A plate with selection of 4 dishes was 25 lira, and worth every cent.

25 per plate- you can choose 3 or 2 or 1 menu. Absolutely loved pasta and eggplant dish. Chocolate cake was moderately sweet and very soft!!:))))

I love this place so much! Kind owners, healthy food, very affordable. Cool upstairs area. It is a staple for me now in Istanbul. And this is the perfect combination in my opinion! Pasta, hummus, lentils, and salad. And their baklava was one of the best I've had so far 😋.

Every time I have visited Istanbul I have made it a point to visit this restaurant. It’s a lot belt place if you’re looking to try a little bit of everything! They have homemade vegan dishes all in 9x12 baking dishes and you choose 3–4 dishes and then they heat them up for you. The portions are super filling and usually I’ll get my dessert to go. Although the staff speak very little English they have always been warm and welcoming. They are eager to help you with what you need. Oh and I forgot they have homemade kombucha! It’s awesome definitely give it a try. Also if you’re looking for things like vegan cheese they have a small selection that you can buy from in the cafe. Definitely give this place a try, the value for what you get here can’t be beat!

Amazing food! Definitely worth a visit. Flavours were great. I've been wanting to eat some Turkish food but avoiding most of it because of the meat that is in everything. This place has all the Turkish flavour but vegan!!! Highly recommend.

Delicious food, good prices and fast service. They have lots of fresh and salad type options and aren't overly reliant on faux cheeses and faux meats, which can be a pitfall of some vegan restaurants. It's possible to eat light and healthy or come hungry and get one of the big sampler platters.

As a vegan, the thing you want the most when visiting a foreign country is to be able to try their food without compromising your values. They have a wide variety of dishes and they look authentic and are homemade. The food was absolutely delicious (as was the fresh orange juice) and the prices were really good. Sadly, I was so full after the meal that I couldn't even try the vegan baklava 🥲. The staff spoke enough English to not have any problem. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting authentic Turkish food

The food tastes incredible, really nice home cooking and I was surprised to find that quality of vegan food at a very cheap price, with large portions. Nice atmosphere and is very relaxing place to eat a perfect dinner. The puddings are also worth trying!

If you want delicious home vibe vegan Turkish food, this is the place to go! We ordered the 4 plate dish options and split it between 2 people, we got rice, pasta, salad and vegan meatballs. We also got fresh pomegranate juice which was 10/10, exceptional!! We also got another plate of pasta on the side with a brownie for dessert. The brownie was HEAVENLY! You gotta eat here even if you aren’t vegan, it’s so good!

If you are vegan then don’t miss Vegan Istanbul. The food was incredible and so cheap. The lady was also really helpful. The cafe itself is super basic, but definitely come for the food! (I especially recommend the Burek.)

Highly recommend this little restaurant. They have amazing prices and amazing food. The two people (husband and wife?) were friendly and had great customer service. They offer plates with a variety of selections, plus kombucha. The kombucha is well brewed and not artificially carbonated and not overly sweet. Tonight my husband and I enjoyed two 3-combo plates (20 TL each). Everything was tasty. It all seemed very authentic Turkish, too. Will come back another day.

The owner told me that this was the ONLY 100% Vegan establishment in all of Istanbul. I have to believe her! The food was INCREDIBLE. Menu: No proper menu, what you see is what you can get. Choose from 3 items on a plate or 4. cost: 20 Lira (3 Euro) for 3 items and then an extra 5 lira for tea. highly reccomend!

(Translated by Google) Maskless customers are not warned. Some customers enter the venue without a mask, with the comfort that "we will eat anyway". They don't have any masks in sight either, because they learned that they wouldn't be warned. They chat without a mask until their food arrives (20 minutes in today's example). This attitude, which I think is adopted in order not to offend the customer, will also offend the customers who are uncomfortable with this. Should offend. (Exactly the same justification for smoking in closed areas in case customers do not come.) If the situation improves (as before) my score will be full. (I had conveyed my discomfort with this situation to them twice.) In addition, ordering through Yemek Sepeti has recently turned into a grind. The restaurant opens late to order and sometimes the following problem occurs: "The address you have selected is outside the restaurant's shipping area."

I went searching for this place and it was a relief to eat comfort vegan food. They have a selection of items made from vegetables and vegan items. I had the pasta and zucchini patty with a cola. Costed me 25 TRY and I was more than full with the portions. Good portion size, flavoursome food made from common ingredients and secluded place from the hustle.

Good, genuine and homemade Turkish food. Nice small balcony with three tables. Extremely kind owners. More than acceptable prices. Perhaps, just as a suggestion, the dishes could be served warmer. Closed on Sundays. We will definitely return during our stay this week in Istanbul.

My Turkish friend recommended this place to me. It's not expensive, the interior is pretty basic, but the food is really delicious. I had Turkish pasta and baklava, and also very good red tea with hibiscus, I think it was called Winter tea. I'm a huge fan of red tea so trust me when I say I enjoyed it 😁 The lady at the counter gave me all the info about the dishes they had that day - the ingredients, the prices etc. Overall, great food and service!

Delicious, homemade, vegan Turkish food. Brought 2 non-vegans here, including a Turkish friend, and they both enjoyed it too. Generous portions for a great price. There were 4 of us and we ate family-style so we tried most dishes including the desserts, all were excellent, can't go wrong. They have a good selection of straight veggies as well as proteins. The couple who own the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. As another reviewer said, don't be put off by the microwave- everything is very fresh and home cooked (you can see it all in the display cases). It would take hours for them to individually cook everything to the current high standard. By making it ahead of time, you can eat sooner, and the food quality does not suffer :)

Was passing by and didn’t really think much of this place as they sign didn’t really communicate well what kind of food. Though I thought I would give it a try as I was hungry. When I went in I saw they had a good selection of food, plus the price was amazing and the people there were very welcoming. I ordered a plate and happy I did. Food taste really good, very homemade style, feel and taste. Would definitely be coming back here for a proper bite next time.

So happy to have found amazing vegan turkish food in Istanbul! I wanted to try Manti so badly and now found a vegan version here! You can try a variety of foods for cheap prizes! Either: 3 Options for 100 Lira Or: 4 Options for 120 Lira I ordered 5 and payed 150 :) The portions are filling! The dessert is also really tasty, but a bit more expensive, but still fair prices! (Large piece of cake 70 lira, 4 smaller pieces of baklava 80 lira) Would highly recommend coming here! My meat-eating boyfriend really enjoyed everything as well! The options we had: Eggplant with soy and potatoes Seitan Kebab Zuchini “Bread / Tart” Manti (Type of Pasta) Filled wine leaves Bulgur Salad Chocolate cake Everything was tasty!

Very nice restaurant, a lot of options. As was mantioned before the food is already made and is reheated but it still tastes good and it's no junk food, not like fries or deep fried, all made with love and you can taste it. The lady who gave the service was really nice. Also the food is really cheap. All is 100% vegan and there are vegan products you can buy home.

Small vegan eatery not very far from Galata tower, maybe a 10 mn walk. Go down a flight of stairs and you will find a small place with a 2 tables balcony. Everything is 100% vegan and you can buy soy milk or vegan cheese etc to take away. The service is warm and welcoming and in English. I tried 6 different dishes. If the Turkish pizza and the hummus were a bit disappointing, everything else was tasty and nice. I enjoyed the cake as well. Overall, it's not the best food experience in the world but if you are vegan or have a plant based diet, you will appreciate what is on offer here. Probably best to limit yourself to 4 dishes though, as after my lunch I was so heavy I nearly rolled down the hill. Portions are generous! A good vegan place in Istanbul. The same eatery in London would get 3.5 stars for food quality but this is Turkey and to be able to enjoy good vegan Turkish food here, in Kebap land, is a blessing. If you are vegan do not hesitate.

I pretty much eat here every day since i’ve been in Istanbul. It’s great to have so many vegan versions of local dishes so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything for a change. They even have vegan yogurt and cheese in some dishes and great Kombucha! It’s not super fancy, just a good place to just chill out and have a tasty affordable vegan meal.

Super yummy traditional Turkish foods handmade in the store to be vegan at a great, central location in Taksim! You choose two sides for 20 lira or four sides for 25 lira, a great deal and big portions. They also have homemade kombucha (one water bottle for 5 lira) and an assortment of vegan meats (the one I bought was 25 lira for 300g) and cheeses (12 lira each) for sale, all at excellent prices. Highly recommend! It’s a cute, small & clean place with friendly & honest staff. ***Side note: When I asked how much the kombucha was, the woman working initially said “10 lira” only to quickly correct herself and say “no, I mean 5! Sorry”. It’s always nice to receive honest service as a tourist, especially when the prices aren’t listed. Only down side is that the food is heated up in a microwave. Would be much better if heated up on the stove, but still tasty and well worth it.

(Translated by Google) Affordable compared to most vegan venues, with seitan sauce and vegetables, it was very nice. The vegan lahmacun was nice, but it was soft and warm because it waited, I'm sure it would be great when it came out, but it must have been done beforehand, I suppose. The two people were very well saturated. The interior of the place did not feel comfortable, I think the seating area should be more beautiful, it is not necessary to eat and get up right away.

Such a lovely vegan place. We made the best decision by just trying a mixture of every dish. It felt like everything was made with a lot of love and the owners are super welcoming aswell. Going up all the hill is definitely worth it, as delish vegan traditional food awaits you.

The food smells and tastes like airplane food. 3 servings of food cost 25 TL which is a good price. But it is kind of a sad place (albeit with decent wifi).

To be honest, nice people but really disappointing food. Perhaps it was due to covid but everything tasted old, soggy and not flavorful Also it's not "healthy" vegan food it's "trying to make omnivore food vegan" food If you want vegan food, I'd recommend a falafel place which is vegan and delicious (and cheaper!) Staff are nice, but the food is not. Sorry but I have to be honest

  • 4/5 Carlos A. 3 years ago on Google
The hamburger is tasty and healthy, potatoes too, the food in general is very worth it for the price charged (25tl) The presentation of the food before you order is poor, this can be improved.

  • 2/5 Evdokia S. 3 years ago on Google
So the place has two pluses: 1. It's totally vegan; 2. Low prices for huge portions. Nothing much nice to say. Due to many recommendations I was eager to visit the place. Unfortunately I had no such opportunity due to covid restrictions. So I ordered a delivery. I was superfast, about 30 minutes. The food itself was total disappointment. Lahmacun - smelled and tasted like overroasted bread, was dry and had no taste at all Humus had the same problem as any Turkish humus - no seasoning at all. Musakka left much to be desired, poor taste, have no idea how one can spoil a dish with and eggplant. Spinach manti had no spinach. The had no stuffing al all. Still it was best dish in the set. Never considered myself as sophisticated vegan gastronomist, but I love tasty dishes. Vegan Istanbul serves great portions of low-priced but totally flavourless food. Can recommend it if you are hungry and want to save money. Otherwise walk this place past.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful place with delicious human food, good prices (remember how much veg cream for dessert and even just tofu costs in Turkey), a wonderful hostess. The coolest thing is the traditional Turkish food in vegan adaptation. (Original) Замечательное место со вкусной людской едой, хорошими ценами (помните, сколько в Турции стоит всякие там вег сливки для десерта и даже просто тофу), прекрасной хозяйкой. Let me start by saying I'm not a vegan but I went there yesterday with a vegan friend. Five minutes walk from Taksim Square in the trendy Cihangir district just past all the Indian restaurants, it's a small traditional lokanta type restaurant (no frills and all food on display so you can choose what you see) with excellent Turkish food that may even fool some meat eaters. We had the red lentil soup, a delicious Turkish soup that is a hearty meal in itself and mixed platters. The Turkish mousakka is superb and so is the hummus and the saitan kebab. The woman speaks some English and is very helpful giving an excellent personal service. I was than a little pleasantly surprised, especially as I wasn't too hungry but the selection was just too good to pass up on. I'm going back.

As a vegan in Istanbul, I had been barred from the tastes of Turkish cuisine (order a salad that is vegan in any ordinary restaurant and you'll quickly realise that no love was lost on the dish - I stopped bothering pretty quickly) - until I discovered this treasure! Its unassuming appearance belies the taste sensation that awaits you! This is authentic Turkish flavours that will love on you (and on the planet, and on the animals!) and have you coming back again and again! Can't recommend highly enough!

We went from Sultanahmet to Vegan Istanbul for lunch and it was very worthy of the journey! We ordered one seitan kebab (plate) and one seitan kebab wrap. The kebab was well flavoured. We requested same sauce for the kebab to make it more juicy and were offered a light vegan yogurt, which was also tasty. The dessert, vegan baklava, was amazing. We paid 100 Turkish lira for the above dishes and a can of coke. As other people have mentioned, the food is already cooked and is microwaved for the customers. I would have liked at least the fries to be freshly made, and I would have appreciated a greater variety of accompanying salad for my kebab (it came with only tomatoes and a few fries).

Cheap and cheerful. Very kind and warm staff. You could buy some vegan cheese and meat cheaper than in some shops. I've visited this place like billions of times, it's already like a second home in Istanbul, so don't know what to say. Just go there.

First experience here and very happy to experience top quality vegan Turkish food! It feels like (and is) home- style cooking. You come and choose either 3 - 4 dishes and then enjoy a feast. One of the best vegan places I have been to across the cities of London, Paris, and now Istanbul. The hosts are very nice and will explain how it works. Although there are many vegan dishes in Turkish cuisine it is not easy to find them in the restaurants. So don’t hesitate to come here. I am 100% a meat eater and 110% recommend to still come here even if you don’t normally eat vegan - seriously worth it

Had an amazing vegan meal with different dishes first day in Istanbul in this family-running place with a good price .. most of the options were delicious & tasty .. love the kombucha too .. they have vegan sweets also but couldn’t try as we were full & we planned to go back to enjoy another meal in this place but unfortunately couldn’t.. I definitely will visit again whenever we are in Istanbul..

Very good flavourful selection of vegan food. I particularly liked the roasted aubergines, bulgur wheat kofta in tomato sauce and the bread stuffed with spinach. We had the semolina cake dessert which was yummy and carried a box of salted cookies for afternoon tea. Very pleased with the meal. Thanks.

This is a good vegan restaurant in Istanbul, a city that is still developing its vegan scene. If you are taking public transportation to this place, beware that there is quite a steep hill to walk to get to this place. At the restaurant, you pay by the number of dishes you want to eat. We opted for 5 dishes. The food was quite good and allowed us to try a variety.

Really love this local gem in Istanbul. Owner is vegan by heart and you can taste the love in her food. There is a lot of choice, so it's hard to make a decision when you come here. We went there 2 days in a row and the food did not disappoint. I could eat this everyday. Thanks for having us and until next time :)

I've been traveling continuously for seven years and this is one of the better vegan restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The quality of food exceeds most restaurants and I think it ranks up there with Mallow in London as one of the best vegan restaurants. The level of passion and skill are evident in every bite. I literally ordered everything on the menu. The kombucha is some of the best I've ever tasted and the baklava is incredible. To top it all off, it's very affordable, shockingly so. I wish I lived in Istanbul solely for this place.

  • 4/5 baahar A. 8 months ago on Google
I have been coming here for about 4 years to eat. The manager here is a very respectable, tasteful and clean lady, she cooks all the food at her own home. If you come to Istanbul, be sure to visit here. I subtracted one star because he heats food in his microwave. It's not right in my opinion and I prefer the food cold here because of that
