Although the breakfast, cleanliness, roof terrace and owner were nice, the other member of staff was so unpleasant, rude and unhelpful that he seemed to enter into a kind of angry bliss by his own unpleasantness. I’m not sure what the opposite of hospitality is, aside from active military service, but he would surely be better suited to a job where other humans are seen as an irritant. From him floats the kind of atmosphere you’d expect in a detention centre rather than in the hospitality service.

I inquired about the price for double rooms at the reception and was quoted a price 40€ more expensive than their own website! DIshonest much? When I mentioned it to the bored guy at the reception, he was incredibly rude and said "Then book online". Service = zero. Which explains why this hotel is a bit cheaper than others. You get an aggressive and unhelpful receptionist. Avoid!

Okay, this is a hostel, keep that in mind. We were able to park our rental car. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Now, the best part about this hostel is that it is, literally, walking distance from the major attractions. When you leave the hostel, on your right down the street to your left is a little store, go there for your snacks and drinks. The restaurants were expensive, really expensive. Look at the prices and the menu first and do the conversions, because we paid way too much for the food there and at the airport, ridiculous prices. I’m too embarrassed to say how much, but lesson learned. Should have asked the hostel staff about where to eat, but we were too excited to just start walking.

I recently stayed at Antique Hostel in Istanbul and had a wonderful experience. As someone who is always concerned about bed bugs in hostels, I was relieved to read the positive reviews about cleanliness and hygiene at Antique Hostel. Upon booking, I reached out to the staff to request a lower bed due to my fear of heights, and they were incredibly accommodating and assigned me a suitable bed. The location of the hostel is perfect, as it is conveniently situated near all the main attractions and there is easy access to public transportation. This made exploring Istanbul a breeze. I never had to worry about getting around the city. While there are a few areas for improvement, I hope the management takes these suggestions constructively. The Wi-Fi connection sometimes experienced interruptions and became slow, so it would be great if the management could work on improving the stability and speed of the internet. Additionally, it would be helpful if they provided towels, even if it came at an extra charge. Having this option would save travelers the hassle of carrying their own towels. One aspect that impressed me was the breakfast provided at the hostel. Considering the price, the breakfast was excellent. It offered a good variety of options and ensured that guests started their day with a satisfying meal. Lastly, I would like to address fellow hostel guests. It is important to follow the rules of the hostel and respect the privacy of others. I encountered an unpleasant incident where someone knocked on the bathroom door while I was inside and then turned off the light. This kind of behavior is disrespectful and ruins the experience for everyone. If you need a private toilet, it is better to book a full room instead of a shared one. Overall, I highly recommend Antique Hostel for its friendly and accommodating staff, convenient location, and good value for money. With a few improvements, such as the Wi-Fi and towel availability, it has the potential to become an even better hostel in the future.

Antique Hostel is just located in the hearth of the old city. It is only 2 minutes walk away from Hagia Sophia. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast is great. Highly Recommended! Great Job!

I accidentally booked with this hotel instead of a different one with a similar name in the area and I noticed less than a week after I had made the reservation and the hotel refuses to refund my money. The reservation is more than 4 months away, they would be able to rebook without a problem but they rather take advantage of the situation.

Awesome hostel, in a very good position that let you visit all the city (cheaper than hotels around 😂😂) a quick breakfast with coffee, milk, tea, eggs... The people are very nice, will definitely come back again.

A very cozy place named hostel, but is nice, with few rooms for 2 or 3 people, baths inside the room, just enough to sleep... A very good option to stay in Istanbul! The only weak point, the breakfast: one boiled egg, 3 slices of orange, 3 slices of apple, 3 slices of white cheese, some olives, one small pack of butter/gem/fineti. And just the local tea...

Antique Hostel is in an attractive building in an excellent location. The rooms are well-furnished with ample shelf space and very clean. Dorm beds are a cut above the average as well, rather like comfortable sleepers on trains. Boiled is water available throughout the day. The hosts are friendly, responsible and accommodating. Good breakfast and a great view from the rooftop and dining area.

Fabulous hostel a few minutes from the Blue Mosque. Filling and delicious breakfast sets you up for the day. Lovely breakfast ladies and a rooftop cafe with a view. Staff are professional and helpful with the local information. Bunk bed was comfortable and all have a sidelight, shelf and a socket. My dorm had a bathroom inside with a decent shower. Towels are not provided. The dorm was very small but we all managed. Really enjoyed my stay and I will return.

The price is so cheap. We can see the sea and bhosphorus gulf with nice scenery while having breakfast. And we can reach the Aya Sophia masjid in less than five minutes walking.

This was an excellent price an amazing location. The staff were nice and helpful! However, the rooms were so crowded you could hardly open your luggage and only 1 toilet/shower per room of 6. The wifi was very bad and didn’t really work the whole time. Not the most comfortable for a long stay, but good for a short time. It’s walking distance to the big attractions! Also good breakfast.

It was a hotel we preferred to stay as a family. It was a wonderfully enjoyable experience with incredibly beautiful people. The owner of the hotel, Hilmi Bey, is a very good person, very understanding and friendly. He helped us in all matters. It was a decent facility that we would prefer again on our next visit.

Cheap price (bunk bed), for Indonesian people, especially when u order in Traveloka. Around 250.000. Include nice breakfast with the view. But you cannot check in above 1.30 am. For padlock u have to pay extra 50TL. Located near istanbul landmarks.

I throughly enjoyed my stay here, breakfast was provided on the upper level with a beautiful view of the city. Coffee and tea is also provided. They are centrally located so walking to various areas was easy.

Clean , nice staff and great location 👍, the only reason I give it 4 stars is the breakfast

I loved the place, there's a beautiful view in the rooftop. The room was nice, i shared it with more 5 girls, but confortable. It's 5 minutes from the Center, really worth the money.

Good breakfast with a great view. Also great view on the roof top. Hostel could be a bit cleaner. There were drain flies in the showers.

One of the best you can get close to SultanAhmet. I personally had a lovely experience. The staff is very nice, and the feeling you get while taking breakfast looking t the sea and enjoying the Istambul atmosphere is a memory I will always treasure and keep close to my heart.

I like the location is close to Hagia Sophia, only 3-5 mins walk. Nice breakfast on the roof top to see the sea sight. The thing quite challenging is with the high stair from the lobby when you bring heavy luggage, but it's ok

Stay 4 nights; end of December 2022. Mix 4 beds dorm with sea view at level 3. Stairs. No lifts. Towel upon request. Each bunk bed have curtains for privacy (Curtains is sharing upper & lower beds). Hot shower functions. Bed is comfy. Breakfast is simple, but okay. They have rooftops. Location is great! Nearest tramvay is Sultanahmet 550 meter (8min walk), 350 meter to Hagia Sofia. its not the perfect dorm, but acceptable for me.

Second time staying here and it was just as good as the first. Saving money here doesn’t mean foregoing comfort. The AC blasts, the wifi is solid and lots of hot water. The staff are always friendly and willing to lend a hand. We didn’t try any of the tours they offer, but they have a bunch of those too if that’s your thing. Highly recommend!

We had the best experience in this hotel . Everyone was very nice and always helping us. We were supposed to stay only one night and we end up staying 4 nights. The rooms were clean . Breakfast was good and all the staff were super friendly. And THE LOCATION , it’s the best . You are close to everything . I recommend this hotel 100 % .

I stayed here only for one night and it was very comfy. The bed was so comfy and had a great sleep. Staff here are super nice and the receptionist gave a free padlock to lock my locker. Breakfast was good and the view was fantastic. I definitely recommend this place for backpackers or for short visit. The only problem I can mention was that there is no soap or shampoo in the bathroom.

Great hostel. The location is perfect. It’s close to everything and to the tram station. Using the tram you can get almost everywhere in Istanbul. The hosts were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good with some turkish pastries. I recommend it. This was my second time staying here. I would definitely come again. Love it. And the price was really good. Close and cheap. Try it :) the rooms were clean and spacious. The hosts were kind and order us taxi and everything. And most important they all speak really good English :)
