Had a nice stay at this Sheraton. Service was good and staff were pleasant. It is an older hotel so expect that things will be more on the run-down side such as their bathrooms. The location and sea view were optimal.

The hotel is outdated. Smelly and disgusting amnities. Poor and unprofessional hotel management . No regards to guest needs .Above all they will not hesitate to ripe you off .It will be totally unfair to call it a decent Hotel.

From first entering the hotel we were treated very friendly by the staff and they were helpful and willing to answer questions without being rude. We had a room with an ocean view which was nice to see. This is a more modern hotel. The rooms are very cleana and spacious. You need a key card to use the elevators to go up and down the elevators plus they have breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant experience. They have a Samsung tv in the room.

The Rooms were noteworthy and clean. I had a great view of the Europe/Asia side of Istanbul. All of the employees were just amazing. They were so helpful and efficient in tasks such as laundry/check-in/check-out. Luxury hotel I would advise staying in. Note! The hotel location is not very walkable to places you’ll want to see therefore the 4 stars although Uber seems to work well and it’s relatively cheap. From the hotel to the centre near Gálata it was only 160 Lira in the current market

We had a stopover in Istanbul on our way to Karachi. We were coming from the US and the general courtesy shown in general and at hotels and restaurants is exemplary. So it was a shock for us at the time of check-in when the front office lady was brash and rude. When confronted she insisted that I was being rude. Later in the evening we went down for a bite at The Trendy Bar. The staff there was efficient courteous and very helping. We charged the bill to our room and came back up. 20 minutes later I received a call that I needed to pay the bill and was not allowed to charge it to the room. The cashier from the Bar came up and I paid him. My grievance is that I should have been told of this at the time of check in to save me from this type of embarrassment. On our first morning I checked and found out that there was only one slipper and one bath towel. There was an iron board but no iron. Tried to call guest relations but there was no answer then had to call front office and they were kind enough to arrange the items. Same thing happened the next day when I wanted to request for a bottle of water neither guest relation nor room service answered the call and had to call front office again to send up a couple of water bottles. On the positive side the Bar staff and the Resturant staff were courteous and helpful. Overall the stay was not as expected from an international chain.

This is not a 5 star hotel!!! We stayed there on August 2022 and had 5 rooms as a family reunion. The hotel is very poorly managed, the rooms and furnitures are all old and dysfunctional. In most rooms hairdryers , AC , etc don’t work. The hotel services were very bad. They didn’t restock the stuff which were used like shower gel or tissue, we had to call every time and ask for them. There are massive constructions around the hotel and the access is awful. There is a partially built building in front of the hotel blocking the sea view which is not on any of the hotel website images. The sold us 5 sea view rooms, 2 rooms had a massive building in front of them, they weren’t sea view at all! Last but not least, they charged our bank account twice for the same stay and then denied it, had to take it to the higher up! Definitely not recommend this hotel. Over priced with very unhelpful unprofessional staff!

We left the hotel right next morning. We were lucky to book fully refundable and had bought a protection plan from Expedia. God bless Expedia. 1- Air Condition was not working and we had to sleep in a 25 degrees Celsius so we were dripping sweat. 2- Water in the shower was coming down either too hot then too cold then too hot then too cold...etc. 3- Wifi was too bad, you could connect but could not brows nor do anything on the net. 4- Telephone in the room was not working, we had to run down the corridor to call the reception each time we faced a problem. 5- Location is not good. Nothing can be reached within a walking distance and surrounding area is under construction. Yet to be fair, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately cannot recommend it to anyone going on a vacation.

A colleague and I stayed here for work. The hotel, overall, is a good one, despite some minor drawbacks. Good stuff: the rooms were had were really rather nice. Big room, really nice desk and couch area, stocked mini bar/fridge (pay to consume), tea and coffee, big bed, rain shower. I really enjoyed my relaxation time in the room. I also had a really marvelous view of the sea. The service was also really good. The hotel is pretty well-equipped to provide you with anything you need while you are there. I only took a video of the room itself that I can't share, but I did take a couple pictures of the view. The biggest problem is location. You are a full 30+ minutes drive away from the actual city. You are somewhat near a metro line, but if it's cold (and it was!) then that's not convenient. Furthermore, taxi services are massively corrupt. Getting from the hotel to a place is fine... Coming back on your own is another story. Besides a couple of other little hiccups (like my key card not wanting to work in the slot to turn on the room lights more than half the time), the stay was lovely.

Great Location, Pet Friendly, Awesome Staff (from Reception to Room Service, everyone is unbelievable helpful, with a big smile and very friendly). Food was also very good, we were not allowed to the Restaurant we ordered to our Room. Delicous Breakfast. Thank you to everyone who makes our stay Perfect.

We booked a sea view room to end up being blocked by a condo that's being built. Even though we're on the 16th floor, it was still an eye sore. Quite disappointing ☹️

My favorite Sheraton hotels wherever I go in different countries around the world. My friend and I had a two-night experience at the Sheraton Atakoy Istanbul. Where we were received by a beautiful smiling lady who welcomed us and helped us with all sincerity, which made me ask about her name written on her dress in small font. . Mrs. Ozge Top... It was an excellent experience. All the staff at the reception were kind and friendly and you felt comfortable with them, as is the hotel in general. ..I will try it again, God willing ......

Amazing hotel. This is my 2nd visit. The first one was in 2012 and now in 2023. Same quality, clean, nice, friendly staff and Wonderful sunshine 🌞 view. Safe area near by beach walk and restaurants. Also, there are few grocery shops.

This hotel not only offers wonderful rooms with a great seaview. It also offers 24/7 room service, a great spa area, delicious breakfast and a place where you can feel at home; The lounge area. I would like to thank Aytuğ, Mustafa, Selcuk and chef Mahmoud. They made me feel at home in the Sheraton Hotel. For sure I will be coming back to this great hotel.

Spacious room, excellent foods at the breakfast buffet. It took time to check in as there was only one staff, but my 2 night stay at this hotel was really comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

This is the weirdest hotel I ever been. It has a super nice avantgarde 5 star lobby and facilities but the rooms are quite disappointing! The drain issue is severe in the bathroom and sink and rooms need maintenance and I'd say the rooms are 3 star at best! The service is also bad I needed to call 2 3 times for everything I needed and wait time was also insane

The room was great and view was awesome. I did have two problems one with the hot water didn't work properly. Second problems was with the Air Conditioners lowest setting was 23.9c. The bar downstairs was awesome and the bartenders did an amazing job. The bed was comfortable and the front desk personnel were nice. I will stay again if in town.

I wouldn't normally write a review but my experience at the Sheraton Istanbul Ataköy was most definitely not a pleasant one. We were first greeted with very unfriendly staff, who rolled their eyes and mumbled amongst themselves instead of helping us. Breakfast was decent, but our room came with a fridge that was filled with water. In addition, they did not finish cleaning our room - making the bed but leaving all our dirty towels and cups uncleaned? Absolutely unacceptable. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere, not near to any of the tourist attractions at all. Instead, we were surrounded by construction. However, the view and pool makes up for it. Overall, our stay at the hotel was simply unpleasant and I do not recommend booking a stay here.

Positive stay. Great restaurant and food. Great service from all staff and great service from front desk and being able to hold luggage for us as we have a later flight out allowing us to visit the surrounding areas and tourist spots. definitely a return stay.

Overall a decent experience and friendly staff. However, our room had a broken make-up mirror. Maintenance came to fix it and took it apart, but never returned. We came back to the room after being gone all day and the door was wide open after house cleaning. All was okay, but very frustrating. And, we had one bathroom on our first night instead of two. Then, after house cleaning, we had none. We enjoyed the morning breakfast and had the location was great.

I really enjoyed this hotel because it has a very relaxing vibe to it. The staff is also very kind and will attend to your needs immediately. The pool is very good and the gym is quite big as well. Overall 9/10

Poor hygiene. The room garbage were full in the toilet when we arrived. The view were different instead of full sea view. A building was in the middle of the view the contrary of the pictures shown. We kept paying 50 TL Valle parking each time we left and came back in the same day. We reserved our night with breakfast. Once arrived they made us pay 200tl each for breakfast . Sheraton is only a name without a good service.

Far from a five star hotel, the safe had no battery, the sink was not draining, there was mold next to the bathroom door, one night the lights would not turn on at all, the iron was leaking water and stained a silk shirt, I was stuck in their elevator along with 5 other people for more than 10min before someone helped. Their WiFi was completely unreliable constantly disconnecting. Never staying at that hotel ever again, hopefully this review helps some people avoid this s*hole.

Amazing view from my room .. the design of the whole hotel is beautiful.. great location close to a lot of places a traveler may be interested in. Amazing and helpful staff. Free parking with a Carwash (paid) . Rooms provide all guests needs starting from the complimentary water bottles to minibar reaching to bathroom amenities including a loofah!

We stayed only for a night as our International flight was from Istanbul Airport. Overall stay experience was great, hotel upgraded us to the higher category of room which was facing the sea. It has a lovely view and full of natural light. To move around in the evening there is a marina bay close by which has some good cafes and pubs to hang-out. Hotel Concierge team was quite helpful and friendly to assist us in all the request we made.

Nice clean rooms. Very helpful English speaking staff. Close to a number of shopping places.

It's a nice hotel, however the location is not the best for those looking to walk around to nearby places for site seeing. Seems like there are some construction there and also to get a taxi during summer can be pretty hot if you have to wait even for 15mins in the sun. However if your planning to just stay inside the hotel and have all the fun, then yes it has most of what you need.

My Master card was rejected at reception, they tried to take deposit couple times but failed, and no valid answer was given why it was declined. There was money, since I paid taxi before and it was not blocked since I used it everywhere else. However I had to pay cash in the end. Room was clean, shirt with some stains on it. Room 306, please check the window, it cannot be closed/sealed completely, there is some gap on the down right side of window, so noise from street can be heard. The view is nice though, as the food in the -1 floor restaurant.

Quite, clean, some times staff ignore the DND card on the door and the barg in, had to complain, its just far away from the touristic area, but u have 2 mall next to that will do. 2 restaurants , sweet shop , and shoe shine service.

A really great hotel ! It might be expensive but it deserves it , the rooms were clean with a breathtaking view , the breakfast was awesome , friendly staff , a really nice pool , and it's next to a large mall (it used to be a mall but most of the shops are closed now) which is galleria mall , but there are still lots of cafes and restaurants next to the galleria , also if u cross the road (there's and underground way to reach the other side) you can find a lot of stuff like capacity mall , carousel mall , and many many other shops , also you can get to marmaray metro station which leads you to fatih which is the busiest place in istanbul and it leads you to the asian side i think , overall it was a really nice trip while staying in this hotel , thanks sheraton❤️

Hotel is fairly nice. Rooms are clean with great views. AC does not work. Even asked to change room and the AC did not work in the new room. The maintenance people said they fixed it but there was no change. Expect to sleep in 25+ degree rooms. Breakfast has normal international hotel buffet so expect to see local favorites and then eggs and bread bars. Location around the hotel is under construction and the gallery mall is basically a ghost town. There is a grocery and a few ok restaurants just on the other side of the construction. The seaside park/boardwalk is nice but it’s adjacent to a highway.

The worst hotel experience that we had in our life. Start of our honeymoon, didn’t have a room for us when it was booked. They would have let us wait for hours or days in the lobby but thankfully we got to speak to a manager that arranged a room for us for an extra cost. If not for this interaction we would have spend 48h in the lobby. Breakfast is barely okay you should see the sausage they are serving you. For a 5 star hotel, it’s ridiculous. Please see the picture of their lobby bathroom and you’ll understand everything! The pee stain on our bed cover was the last drop. Literally the worst 5 stars hotel you can ever find please book elsewhere when considering Istanbul. This is not worth your money trust me!!
