We are 5 couple friends who booked this hotel 10 weeks before checking in. We were allotted 5 rooms of very different sizes, all on different floors, despite many adjoining rooms being vacant! Our humble requests did not bear any fruit. It was evident that they had made up their minds not to budge. In the restaurant, the waiter decides if you can sit on a table of your choice or not. He tells you to vacate the table "within 6 minutes" when the breakfast time is coming to an end. One can't even sit and have a discussion. Once any food item is finished, they say it is over and won't be recharged!! Such a huge hotel has no place where guests can sit as a group and have their fun. On the whole, the staff is very rude and we will not recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a terrible time there

Stayed 12 nights at this hotel my experience was exceptionally positive. Beds are super comfy, sheets are spotlessly clean, premium fabric and soft. Broadband is fast, the central air conditioning system is smooth, clean and silent. Rooms are kept in immaculate conditions. Rooms have a perfect sound and heating insulation, you hear nothing either from inside or outside the building. Gym is well equipped. Daily cleaning is thorough and the cleaning/mini-bar staff are very attentive. The reception and security staff are super helpful, kind and they work against the clock to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I cannot fault anything literally everything was perfect.

Our room is near the street so it is noisy. There's a security check at the front of the hotel. Warm welcome from all staff. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is good. Very beautiful night view of the city.

First impressions are everything. And my first impression of this hotel was not good. I had to get luggage out of cab myself. I was literally making eye contact with the person by the baggage checking machines and he stayed still. Then he finally came and took one luggage to the machine. I took the other one. Afterwards he took one inside and I took the other. That has happened at no other hotel. Rest of the staff was great. Even the older gentleman usually by the baggage scan was very friendly and had he been the one there when I had arrived I suspect my first impression would’ve been better. Food is very very good. I prefer living room lounge as it’s quieter and less busy than rooftop. Room service was quick as well. Room was small but everything was very clean and comfortable.

Bar at the rooftop has an amazing view, however food was tasteless and cocktails were too sweet to drink. I had to ask 4 times for ice, they were slow even with startes. Take a good pictures and go

I came to Istanbul with my family for a wedding and had bed and breakfast at this hotel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, i had silent nights for the 4 nights i was there with no noise and a nice sleep (pillows could be better). Nice decor in the rooms and the hotel and the view from the top floor restaurant was amazing. If i ever come to Istanbul again, i will stay at this hotel and recommend to friends and family

Three days before check-in, the hotel sent an email inquiring about our stay plans, purpose, and any specific needs, showing thoughtful consideration. I particularly want to express my gratitude to Guest Manager GIZEM. As a welcoming gesture, we received a delightful welcome cake, and my daughter praised it as the best taste in Istanbul. When she wanted more in the evening, we inquired about purchasing, and they kindly sent us two more cakes. We were deeply touched by their meticulous care and want to express our thanks once again. The room boasted a beautiful sea view, and even on rainy days, we could heal by gazing out the window. I've already planned to return when the weather is good. All staff members were friendly, efficient, and professional, from the check-in staff to housekeeping. Thanks to everyone. The breakfast was well-prepared, and the advantage of enjoying it while overlooking the sea was wonderful. While our stay was highly satisfying, if I were to point out a minor downside, it would be the Happy Hour offerings at the club lounge, which seemed lacking compared to other hotels. The absence of desserts and salads gave a sense of insufficiency. Nevertheless, with the fantastic view, clean facilities, and the caring attitude of the friendly staff, I highly recommend this hotel as a top choice.

Such mixed feelings mixed with disappointment & anger. We have been travelling turkey for 3 weeks and have stayed in 6 different hotels all 5stars so we can be certain what we can expect but this has disappointed at renaissance so far(room 1114).As a couple we have checked in and have booked a delux room or what ever but we didnt even get a proper bed instead we have two single beds joined together and NOT in a good way so there is a massive gap in the middle of the bed which is uncomfortable, impractical and frankly useless. My partner has not slept due to this and woken up with a bad back. Even at a 3 star hotel i would have at least got a proper queen size bed( not asking for much here). Staff are lovely, polite and seem to want to help and part of the experience is ok but u get a hotel room to sleep in and we couldn’t do it. So i hope others can use this experience.

We just completed a 14 day tour throughout turkey. The Renaissance phosphorus breakfast restaurant and service were by far the best. The omelette was absolutely amazing and beats omelettes that we have in the USA. The staff made it even breakfast even more amazing. They were extremely well, dressed, groomed, genuinely friendly and respectful. They were attentive and even brought a selection of fruit and freshly squeezed orange pomegranate juice to our table. It was a pleasant way to start the next day of travel. I wish the staff well.

The staff was awesome! They really made the stay a pleasurable experience. Everyone from the bellmen to the receptionists to the girl bartender at the lobby bar to the wait staff were really friendly and kind. If you would like to have first class treatment I would suggest you go visit Ozkan at the rooftop restaurant and bar! He was super awesome! He runs a first class operation there! Thank you again for everyone making a memorable experience for me and my fiance!

From the moment we drove up to the hotel we were greeted by several staff and from then on nothing was too much. We were always welcomed with a smile, everyone was helpful from the sweetest lady that took care of the room, the restaurant staff, the valet, desk staff. The room was comfortable. We had a king executive room with a Bosporus view which was nice. The hotel was quiet. It was easy to get to the locations we wanted by car or taxi, including the Sultanahmet area. The breakfast was well set out with fresh choices for any dietary need. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant one night and it was excellent. And the view is stunning. Highly recommend this hotel in İstanbul.

We came to try the restaurant on the top floor, food was so delicious staff was helpful and then decided to stay at the hotel, the room has a beautiful view and was comfortable. The only point we didn't like is the call center doesn't send us dental went even though we call them 2 times, next day morning ask again and they sent it. We will come back for sure,

The accomodation is gorgeous. Too bad, there are some things who make it less gorgeous, and here i remind the fee for parking ( is a 5 stars hotel after all ) some rooms have no brekfast included (5 stars ??) or is extra charging . Some guy from front desk was so impolite, so unfriendly. Becouse the smell in the room was too smokey, we asked to change the room. Second, same story. Lucky us, there is a manager , a very professional and empatic person. Thanks to him and his compasion and understanding, we were upgraded for free to a very nice suite, making us so happy . After all, his turkish hospitality made us a very special night . Hope we come back soon.

Good breakfast spread and helpful staff. Housekeeping could be more detailed. On the second day, housekeeping made up the room and took out the soiled towels and used drinking glasses but forgot to replenish them.

A clean hotel in a great area, you can have amazing views of the sea or the neighborhood. Don't miss out on the restaurant on the top floor. The view is spectacular 👌🏼

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, and I want to express my utmost satisfaction with the exceptional service provided by Mr. Mehmet Biltekin. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Biltekin went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. His attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine dedication to customer service were evident throughout our stay. your team has been amazing. I have been here for 7 days coming from the USA. I’ve stayed in many 5-4 stars hotel paying over 1000$ in expenses. but the service here has been extraordinary! thank you and your staff for making every morning and evening a pleasure. the key stand outs are. Ayden, Bushra, Sinem, Rabia and john. we usually tip in America but I didn’t know if it was a custom here so I waited to long and don’t have cash to offer. so I hope these words can be enough and know when I come back to turkey in a year time I’ll be back in this hotel. I hope you promote these three quickly!

Fabulous hotel… but expensive with food… the club Sandwich was delicious… friendly , helpful staff… the roof top bar is amazing… a definite must when in Istanbul… the live entertainment was amazing at club 212 if I got it right and the views incredible ( can see the blue mosque, galata towers, famous bridge…) and romantic… drinks in terms of alcohol very expensive like every where we went…will definitely come back for the rooftop entertainment and stunning views👌😍💃

This was my first stay at this fabulous hotel. The front desk manager was again extraordinarily friendly and helpful, while the staff in the restaurant, housekeeping and etc. provided us with a stay I will not forget. Our room was spacious and ultra-clean, and the location can't be beat. You are within an easy to everywhere by luxury Fizytur minibus. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful hotel and its services, staff. Hope to be there for stay #2 soon.

A Truly Extraordinary Experience at Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel, and I must say, it was an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. One person who truly stood out during my stay was Mr. Volkan, the Assistant Front Office Manager. From the moment I arrived, Mr. Volkan greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel instantly welcome. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect, consistently demonstrating a high level of professionalism and attentiveness. His knowledge of the hotel's facilities, local attractions, and services was impressive, and he was always ready to provide helpful recommendations and assistance. Not only did Mr. Volkan excel in his role as Assistant Front Office Manager, but he also had a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. He took the time to understand my preferences and needs, ensuring that my stay was personalized and tailored to my liking. Whether it was arranging transportation, booking restaurant reservations, or answering any questions I had, Mr. Volkan was always there with a solution and a genuine desire to exceed my expectations. Furthermore, the entire staff at the Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel was simply exceptional. The housekeeping team ensured that my room was immaculate, and the restaurant staff delivered delightful dining experiences with their impeccable service and delicious cuisine. The hotel itself boasts stunning views of the Bosphorus, elegant and comfortable rooms, and a range of amenities that catered to all my needs. The attention to detail and the level of care provided by the hotel staff, especially Mr. Volkan, truly made my stay an extraordinary one. I highly recommend the Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Istanbul. And if you have the pleasure of crossing paths with Mr. Volkan, you can rest assured that you will receive a level of service that goes beyond excellence. Thank you, Mr. Volkan, and the entire team at Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel, for making my stay truly extraordinary. I cannot wait to return!

One of the finest hotels in Istanbul in-between the Levant area and Sisli. Their rooms are quite spacious, and the furniture is well maintained. They bathrooms are well-sized, too. The restaurant on-site serves excellent and diverse food. There is underground parking, and plenty of taxis at the exit of the hotel. The hotel is around 1 KM away from the Sisli bus station.

It was an absolute pleasure. The hotel is a gem of a place. Best location, Clean, good breakfast , faniastisc lobbby ,spa , swimming pool and most of all a fantastic and helpful staff at all the services . Specially "Mr Hassan" at the reception made everything so easy and as all the family was staying there for reunion he made a lot of arrangements possible for us . We had the suit 1401 and the view could not be better. The resturant upstair 212 I will strongly recommend. Room service was very good and reasonably priced. The complementary Lounge could improve on opening hours and food availability.

The hotel has bosphorus rrom with 5 star hotel services. It is one of the great hotels in Istanbul with its location and services.

Pros - wonderful, attentive staff. Clean rooms with good wifi (though on the slightly small side). New, modern facilities with an amazing rooftop bar. Cons- not a very buzzing area of town (though you’re 15 mins by taxi away from Taksim). Breakfast selection slightly limited (though everything available was delicious). Pic of standard room with Bosphorus view

Turkish hospitality remains unmatched! Great Experience with check-in, valet, brasserie and restaurant (room service) and breakfast buffet. The location of hotel was convenient for my business errands in Gayrettepe. Asked for late checkout as Bonvoy Platinum which they happily provided. Spend the rest of my day before my flight in nearby Zorlu Center, number 1 shopping center of Türkiye ❤️

As part of a group of 40 people checking in and my company credit card breaking they refused to help me make a plan. This is the 5th 5-star hotel I've stayed in and was the least impressive of them all. Staff desperately need some basic English lessons, it's hard trying to explain things three times over. Roomed were very clean, but quite cramped. Food was OK, could try to do a little more with diabetes in mind.

What makes this hotel a great hotel is it's staff. They are just fantastic and very friendly. My room is very large and comfortable, yes I got an upgrade. The breakfast her puts to shame the breakfasts in the US, seriously check the pictures and videos. The location is good, about 20min walk from the river and port.

Pure perfection. Incredibly professional, friendly staff. Breakfasts are of top-notch quality. Rooms with bosphorus scenery are like dream. Only small advise is that the beds too soft, replacing with semi-orthopedic mattress would be great. 212 Bar and its cocktails, whole range of snacks, starters and meals are beyond amazing. Especially the guys at 212 Bar, literally making you feel so special. Wouldn't hesitate to give 10 stars if possible.

Great experience here for 2 nights. The food is amazing and you need 5, stomachs per person to taste everything as everything is delicious. If there is something wrong or you need assistance, they are quick to solve the problems. Highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed 4 nights in this amazing hotel! The Bosphorus view was breathtaking, the room was spotless clean and the bed was very comfortable. The service was very good, laundry service was good too. I was working remotely during my stay and the lobby was always nice to come and finish my work. I recommend this place.

They have a floor called the T floor, don't EVER stay there, the elevator doesn't work and only one elevator reaches that floor which by the way has only two rooms. If u like using the stairs then good luck finding them! Friendly staff and good food. Their bar on the roof has an amazing city view by the way.

  • 5/5 Omar H. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel with fitness centre and pool. The rooms were modern clean and spacious for Istanbul. Location was good but you need to get a taxi or take the metro at Gayretteppe station to go most of the touristic locations.

Friendly & helpful staff throughout my stay. Excellent breakfast is only surpassed by the incredible dinner with a view in the rooftop restaurant. Air conditioning in the room was great & the place was clean! Highly recommend 😊

I had stayed at this hotel when it had just opened in (probably) 2014 and wanted to go back, so I did, after almost 8 years. I stayed here for 7 nights this time. When I checked in, I asked if I could get an upgrade to Bosphorus view from city view. I figure it never hurts to ask for an upgrade. I was told that they did not have any rooms facing the Bosphorus at the time, but during the course of the week, they would move me, as soon as a room was available. Fair enough. Also, I asked for a higher floor (they gave me a room on the 12th floor). The guy at the front desk told me that the 12th floor is the highest floor in the hotel. He lied - the hotel has 15 or 16 floors. Well, after staying there for 7 nights, there was no mention of upgrades. Maybe there were no rooms available, but shouldn't they have told me that and why lie that the 12th floor was the highest floor in the hotel? The room was not very spacious, but it was clean. The cleaning lady pretty much "forgot" something every day. How do you not replace coffee, sweetener, soap etc every day? Also, the room wasn't vacuumed every day. The staff is indifferent - maybe they don't like people of color? Not once was I asked (even at checkout) how my stay was. This one was a first! Staff definitely needs some training. Ask the guest how their stay was, more so when I stayed there for 7 nights! They don't really care as long as they got my $$$! I loved the spectacular view from the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast was pretty good too. Kinda pricey by Turkish standards, but a nice variety of food. It was relatively easy to get taxis from the hotel. I used Uber too. I left a tip for the cleaning lady at the front desk and sure hope it was passed on to her. Would I stay there again? No! I was quite disappointed by the service and don't like being lied to.

It's an amazing hotel. It's the best that I've stayed at. We were treated like royalty. My family and I will never forget this experience. Thank you very much!

The hotel is located not too far from the bustling besektas area. You can walk there in 30 min but need a taxi back as its uphill all the way. The room is good sized, view over Bosphorus is amazing all day long. Breakfast variety is good and delicious. The gym is well equipped. Swimming pool is indoors and temperature controlled
