Very historic ambience. lot of options to choose from for vegetarians from hummus to babaganush, also good for vegans. All dishes (except Amphora vegetables) were quite oily. Nothing was spicy or even had a tingle of spice. Service was good. Friendly server greeting everyone. Also a friendly cat roaming around in the restaurant.

Table service was fantastic. Our kids loved the vegetable caserole which came in a clay pot they got to break open. Tons of fun. The shepherds salad was very good and the mezze plate for two was enough for the whole family. Delicious for us vegetarians. Fed our whole family of four heartily for 50 USD.

This place had so many positive reviews that I decided to go there for a dinner. I was met nicely and the place looks amazing inside. I have ordered mixed seafood casserole and a pint of Efes beer. They gave me some olives and bread which was very nice, however when my dish (79 lira!) arrived I was disappointed - it wasn’t fresh, the seafood had this particular smell like it started getting spoiled. This smell now was throughout the whole restaurant and they started spraying some fragrance to get rid of it. But now all my food and drink smelled like fragrance :( Moreover, when I got a receipt I was shocked - 30 lira for a beer and 10 lira tax (which is already included in the price!). When I argued they crossed out the tax and said I can pay 100 lira in total. Scammy place with bad food, I do not recommend going there.

You need 6 stars to describe the atmosphere while eating in a 1700 year old Byzantine boat house. Decor is nice. There are some nice puzzles and games in a niche to occupy little ones. This evening we had a lovely meal at Arch Bistro. The food was delicious, service was amazing and the setting is in a beautiful historic building in the area of Sultanahmet. If you are seeking great food and conversation in a wonderful setting you cannot go past Arch Bistro. The meze was delicious was the best I have had in Istanbul!!

Over one hour waiting for main disch, which never came... instead of it most expensive humus in Istambul 😅 We paid more for mezze plate than anywhere else for whole dinner with drinks for two. Owner said, that they just open after two years, my question is what for?

We have had two lovely nights at this historical place. The atmosphere of this old Roman cave, is the perfect scenario for a great night. The staff and food was just as amazing. Food is real authentic and well flavoured Turkish food. We loved every minute of our stay and would recommend it to everyone. We will definitely come back!

This is such a cool restaurant - the ambience is fantastic as you can see from the other pictures. The food is delicious - I had the seafood casserole and my dinnermate had the lamb shank. The lamb shank practically fell off the bone, it was so tender, and the seafood casserole's sauce was so good we finished it off with bread after I had finished the meal. One element that makes this restaurant particularly special is the service. We ordered a carafe of wine, and the restaurant owner used it as an opportunity to serve us from a replica of an ancient wine carafe, and showed us how it worked. He and the other staff members were friendly, and perfectly hit the note of checking in on us and making us feel welcome while also giving us time to enjoy our date. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Istanbul and looking for a special evening.
