I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The room I was in was noisy, making it hard to relax. While some of the staff members were friendly and accommodating, others, especially at the concierge, reception, and Valet, were not as welcoming as I would have expected from Ritz. The security staff and Bellboy are nice. The design of the hotel appears quite dated, which didn't match my expectations for a comfortable stay. Additionally, it was evident that certain guests were being selected for events, which made me feel excluded during my stay. Moreover, the information provided in the room was inaccurate, which caused some inconvenience during my visit. Overall, I had higher expectations for this hotel, and I hope they consider improving these aspects to provide a better experience for their guests. "The so-called 'infinity pool' was a significant disappointment and did not live up to its name. It was unexpectedly small and poorly situated, failing to provide the sweeping and breathtaking views that an infinity pool should offer. This was a notable drawback during my stay that should be addressed for guests seeking a more enjoyable pool experience. Another downside to my stay was the breakfast experience. Variety is essential when it comes to breakfast (for breakfast lovers), and the lack of it made the mornings quite monotonous. It would be great if they could diversify their breakfast options to enhance the overall guest experience. However, staff is friendly…

Get ready for one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. It is one of the hotels with the most beautiful views of both Bosphorus and Istanbul. The Ritz-Carlton is the meeting point of the impressive balance that blends the unique traditions and beauty of the East with the deep-rooted culture and style of Europe in Istanbul. The Ritz-Carlton, this perfect meeting of cultures that reflects the entire Istanbul experience; With its guest rooms, suites, restaurant, lounge and bars, Open Air Spa, ball and meeting rooms, the hotel is complemented by a unique view of the Bosphorus at every point.

I had very high expectation of Ritz Carlton hotel and its Istanbul branch did not really met them. The hotel is quite old and it was going under some upgrades. It has a very small lobby which in no scale looks like a superior 5 star hotel lobby. Its location is quite off and you can not easily reach any nearby attraction on foot due to the fact that you will have to climb a very steep street. The room itself was quite luxurious and we reserved a superior view room, however the view was not what we expected. It overlooked hotel's worn out yard which wasn't eye catching at all. Breakfast variety was quite limited but the taste and quality was great. At the rate that we paid, I would definitely book another hotel for my future trip to Istanbul.

Very unsatisfied. First, the room is located next to the roof bar, which is very noisy. So for people looking for quit place, this is not the one to choose. Second, in general the staff are not friendly and not competent. They gave us contradictory information. Even the information letter left in the room is not accurate. Third, as guest in the hotel, we were not welcome on some facilities. We were told that we can participate but when we wanted to attend we were not accepted. As usual business traveller to Istanbul, and having tried almost all 5 stats hotel, the Ritz-Carlton is the biggest desapointment. Not recommended.

Hotel whose brand is a guarantee of quality and hospitality. Positioned on the besikstas hill, above the stadium, in a vertical building it has all the services. The rooms are very comfortable, large and well kept. There are shops, restaurants and bars. Do not miss the rooftop, with a relaxation area and restaurant. Central and close to tourist attractions. Friendly and professional staff.

The hotel is very nice and the lobby is comfortable and luxurious. The location is convenient, but you should not expect to walk outside the hotel. There are also excellent views from the hotel to the Bosphorus. Unfortunately, the hotel staff insists on putting a photo of the Turkish Dictator in the lobby. Photos of this man are far too common in Turkey and should be left out of tourist hotels.

The service staff from bell hops to the servers/ waitresses are all amazing. The bedding is nice the mattress is not comfortable at all. Again, the service is impeccable! There's Hotels for under $200 that just as comparable. Below... Just enjoying some sliced delicious octopus.

We had a 2-day stay at the Ritz Carlton and it was entirely disappointing. The first night, there was a 500+ person rave on the “roof” level with the pool. Despite being on the 11th floor, our room was shaking and the music/bass did not end until midnight. The hotel staff apologized profusely, compd a lunch, and said it would’t happen again. And then, day 2 starts AND THEY SET UP ANOTHER STAGE WITH MUSIC. I included a photo below - this one started with a more reasonable ~100 people and then grew progressively. As context, I am a titanium elite member and have stayed at a number of Marriott properties. The hotel management clearly prioritized the revenue opportunities for the concerts over the comfort of their residents. We were not provided advance notice of any of these events.

Very bad experience. Will never be coming back. 1. Every night had to call to get my room cooler than 18.5 C, (they control it) and when I complain they try to teach me how to use thermostat.”leave it on high” 2. Plugs not working in room. 3. Got stuck on elevator and when I pressed emergency button I got no response. The only way I got off someone has pressed my floor to get on so I could get off. 4. Service is horrible. When I voiced my concerns, I did not get any compensation for inconvenience.

When I booked the room, I booked a view of the Bosphorus, and when I came to the hotel, I met the receptionist and he said, “We do not have rooms available on the Bosphorus,” and they gave me a back room overlooking the garden. The next day, I sent my clothes to the laundry service, and after 24 hours, they sent my clothes, and I was missing six pieces and they did not find anything. In Landry, in addition, when I request room cleaning service, I call several times until they send them. It is really a very bad hotel. I do not recommend it to anyone because their service is bad, they tamper with reservations, and their rooms are not clean

Fabulous Location | Comfortable Rooms | Highly Recommended —— Detailed Review Below —— An upscale hotel within the Ritz Carlton family of hotels that delivers class, style, glamour and comfort — all right in the heart of Istanbul. I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the years - largely traveling in for meetings. The hotel is centrally located - close enough to Taksim Square and most of the attractions and sites that bring people to the city. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated, and quite decently sized. The service is immaculate. The staff go out of their way to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable. Verdict: Highly Recommended. Rooms: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Facilities: 5/5 Dining and Room Service: 5/5 Service/Staff: 5/5

Absolutely a dream come true! Everything & Everyone! This was our wedding anniversary celebration. It was our first time visiting Istanbul and staying at the Ritz, it was worth it! Cannot stop bragging about this gorgeous property and the staff. The check-in (quick & easy), concierge (very accommodating), people at the front (opening the door, ordering a cab, carrying the luggage), hostess, waiting staff, the spa - literally, AMAZING! So friendly, so accommodating & so polite. We got the luxury package room decoration with balloons, champagne, flower bouquet & cake - AMAZING! The room is stunning. The hotel itself is very clean. Smells nice & fresh on every floor. In the main lobby they have new flower arrangements daily. The restaurants, the lounge, the bar. Unreal! The views, OMG! Thank you for making our stay and anniversary celebration so special and memorable ❤️🙏🏼

Its 11:30 at night and after multiple requests the hotel has not been able to reduce noise nuisance from a party downstairs, how do you allow a party with such loud noise? Either get better sound proofing for your rooms or don't allow such loud music. I've got a splitting head ache due to the music and the best the hotel can come up with is, "we'll move you into another room for the night". No thank you very much.

The hotels location is good and the staff are very helpful however on the first night there was no turn down service which we only realized on the second night when it was actually done plus, their ability to call for taxi’s like any other 5 star hotel is a lacking. We had to wait a decent amount of time for a taxi every time and the concierge and reception barely picked up their phones when we tried to order one in advance knowing about this issue. Also, quick note: the rooftop (outdoor) swimming pool is deceptively small so don’t go by the pictures on their website and it’s always full as you’d imagine. :)

The location is a little far from most popular tourist sites. The lobby is behind a gate where they check the taxi thoroughly. Sometimes it's time consuming and annoying for simply getting a taxi in or out of the gate. We found it's actually easier to exit a taxi on the street and walk to the lobby.

I would like to thank everyone working at the Ritz , we received an outstanding service from your staff. I would like to thank , especially the reception desk person , (don’t remember the name) the time we checked in , my wife was not feeling well, we asked if he knows an open Pharmacy, your staff offered us to send a Taxi to a Pharmacy and bring us some medicine which we asked for. We received a call that night and got the medicine. We enjoyed the pool and the pool bar. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We will definitely be back and will recommend your beautiful hotel. We’ve stayed here 3 nights in June and have to say that this hotel has the perfect location! The staff was very friendly and the service was topnotch! They’ve upgraded us also for entrance to the lounge. They have an infinity pool with a nice view and a big pool inside. The rooms were spacious. I would definately recommend a stay in this hotel! Greetings from Belgium.

Probably one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff are just amazing and each and everyone of them will do their best to make you feel like you're a valued guest (front desk, wait staff, housekeeping). The rooms are not the newest but they are spacious and clean. Housekeeping is done daily and personal care items are restocked daily as well. The food at the several restaurants there is just fantastic. Best hotel breakfast ever. Lunch great. Dinner great. The view from the main floor restaurant is gorgeous. If you want to feel like a VIP, stay here. I'd recommend it to a friend. I'm docking 2 stars because they have little machines everywhere that spray extremely strong flowery scent. Have you ever been to the perfume section of an airport duty-free? 100X. I get horrible vertigo and headaches from it. AGH, PLEASE STOP THAT!

The best hotel I’ve ever been in my life! Excellent design, every details are perfect. The cleaning service very attentive. Good breakfast buffet options. Super comfortable bed. Roof top “beach area” also good. We’ve stayed there a week and would like to extended our stay if they would have the availability. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel. This is 10/10 in every aspect. It’s so good I’m writing this in the taxi on the way from the hotel to the airport! Rooms are luxurious and modern. Spacious too with enough room to not make you feel like you’ve escaped! Bathroom products are a high standard and well replenished. Dont judge the hotel by its exterior - it’s a 5 star hotel on the inside. The dining room for breakfast has a lot of variety (don’t believe the other reviews even as a vegetarian we were spoilt for choice each day!). Plus the standard of food on offer is far more important which again was always very very high. Fresh ingredients and competent chefs make for a beautiful combination. Credit to Borkay, Nisa, and the rest of the team at the kitchen for making us feel like we were residents in the hotel from the moment we arrived at breakfast! The gym is a really high standard and is like a slightly compact fitness centre you’d find at a club. Better than most hotels could offer in terms of free weights and machines. The pool and sauna / spa facilities are traditional and high quality as you would expect from a Turkish spa. No need to leave the hotel for enjoying this when it’s on your doorstep. All the reception staff and hotel staff, the doormen, were all SO SO hospitable. We cannot recall all the names but my word did we love every interaction - it’s also not over the top either so your privacy is well respected. The kids club is a god send for any child aged from 1 years old to say 8 years old. It’s unreal to have this on your doorstep to kill an hour each day if needed. Thank you RC Istanbul! We will be back!

Beautiful Ritz with Turkish flare. We were only here on a layover but the basic room was quite nice and spacious. They left us a bowl of fresh fruit. Room service was delicious. Service was great as per usual. Right next to the football stadium and within walking distance of shops, food and tourist stuff. We'll be back when we have more time.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious. They have a full stocked minibar with some complimentary items that you can drink or eat. There is a nice working desk near the windows. Had a great view of the city too. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because of the following reasons. The reception did not note down correctly on the rooms for my change in pillows. I had to changed the pillows within my group as we know that they are not well verse in english when we speak to them. Other than that the breakfast has marvelous selection and was shock that they have Bacon (pork). I was observing the service staff and the manager at the restaurant has a great personality. The staff need to show him more respect. The staff just took away the glass of water from the manager's hand when he was going to serve it to us. Though we may not look like the rest of the rich guest, but that does not mean our request can be ignored. I got annoyed by the service staff forgetting our request many times (throughout my stay) and only the manager remembered. Kudos to the manager for being professional and he even helped me take better pictures of the view from the restaurant. I did not catch the manager's name, but Ritz Carlton you need to reward this man for upholding your service standard through all the disrespect that the staff showed him.

Room size, Bosphorus view, rainfall shower, staff service, spa options etc is absolutely top notch! The only thing holding this hotel back is its food. The breakfast buffet has a good spread like any other 5 star hotel but the taste is very average. The less you talk about the restaurant options the better. Hardly anything appealing on their Anatolian and Japanese menus.

Our family with two kids had a wonderful stay. The service team is very friendly to kids. The lady Eylem and the entire team at the club lounge are very kind and fulfill the need of our family and our invited friends. The club lounge offers nice atmosphere for conversation either for business and friends. Location is good. Food is good. Room good. Swimming pool and spar are all good. Massage very professional. Love to visit again.

Love my stay here. My room is spacious and has a beautiful scenic views of the city and the Strait of Bosphorus. Unforgettable experience at The Spa, which provides an authentic Turkish Hammam, with indoor pool with intricate interior decoration bordered by Byzantine columns with a ceiling painting of beautiful Istanbul sky. The staffs are professional and kind. If I were lost, I rather be lost in Istanbul and not be found.

We visited this hotel to use the restaurants and the spa service, I was blown away with the facilities it offered. The spa had swimming pool, Turkish Hammam, sauna and steam room. Refreshment was available at every corner. Every locker they provided had clean spare towels and robes with slippers, sanitary were spotless. I loved spending time in the spa area the staff members were incredibly polite and helpful. The restaurant had implacable view, the food texture and taste was incredible. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try their rooms but I am sure it would be immaculate. I would highly recommend this place and I will go again.

Last week i stayed at this hotel for couple of nights and it was a very good experience. The view from the rooms and also lobby was breathtaking. I also have to mention that i went there without any reservation and the front-desk staff were very welcoming and they even served me a complimentary champagne. Especially Mr Seçkin; his kindness was on another level. All of the staff were very caring about everything. However it is a little bit pricey hotel, but it worth it and i will definitely stay at there again.

Wonderful place, great service, perfect room, friendly and efficient staff, marvellous food, great indoor pool and wide open Bosphorus views. I will definitely return. Minimal remarks: I found the mattress too soft, but hey, this is personal of course; lobby reception desks lack privacy. Thank you for making my stay memorable.

Incredibile new year vacation stay, first time in Istanbul, thank you Salih the front of house being so helpful and warm with the welcoming and the rest of the kind staff. The new year dessert surprise warmed my heart after a long day at the mountains. Definitely coming back x

Low ceilings and dated interior give this place a 3.5-4 star rating. Yes the view is great, but not worth the price. The sauna/spa/pool area feel closed in and not cosy or safe.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and restaurant. We loved the people at the hotel, as well. We were amazed that they decorated our room in a Harry Potter/Hogwarts theme when we arrived and our children were completely surprised and blown away. Thank you!

The staff are incredibly courteous and accommodating. Rooms were wonderful and I loved the attention to detail. I can't give 5 stars unfortunately because there was horribly loud music playing at an event in the bar on a weekday night. My room was literally shaking! Once I complained, the manager shut it down quickly, explaining that the event was supposed to end at 11pm. I think that's still far too late and far too loud frankly. I would visit again but I'll check that there's no loud events happening!

This is the second time I have stayed here and service is beyond excellent. They accommodate every need in a very timely fashion. Nissa and Bekey at breakfast were amazing staff so much to the point I did not want to be a seated anywhere else but with them. They were professionally dressed, and well versed in English despite being Turkish. They knew our drinks prior to arriving at the table, offered to take pictures, joked with us and even offered to take back breakfast to our rooms. Aside from this, concierge was very helpful in helping us find tourist attractions, providing us with safe transportation. Please be aware that there will be a charge for upgrading the room. But aside from this the hallways smelled amazing and they were able to help us find even the scent to purchase on our own. Staff would come to our rooms for just about anything including 3 pin converter plugs and pillow selection when our rooms were made. They were respectful of our privacy and aware of cultural sensitivities entering the room. Contributed to my mom and my trip being amazing in Istanbul again. We also received a welcome card and fruits. Next time as always I will be staying at this hotel again hands down.

The worst hotel I had ever. Very roud stuff and poor services. I was waiting many hours for their service. I never come back to this hotel, and if you wanna be away from stress just get another hotel.

The refurbishment of the rooms has been perfect, original artworks are everywhere. The view is breathtaking, the roof and the pool is amazing and they have the best spa in Istanbul. Since newly opened Nobu is in the hotel, that is another good reason to stay. Staff and service is perfect, Covid precautions are effective but not disturbing at all. Beds and pillows are so comfy.

Beyond amazing! Received the best massage of my life and I’ve had many. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The only complaint, which is negligible is that the towels were a bit rough. Not a place I can normally afford, but the meals were reasonably priced and the food was amazing. We ate at every restaurant they had and loved each one.

The one word they love saying at the Ritz Istanbul: “Of course.” The staff here will make anything and everything possible for you during your stay in Istanbul. This hotel does not make you feel like a guest, it makes you feel like being part of the Ritz family. Despite its seemingly smaller size when compared to other 5 star hotels in the area, these people are about quality not quantity. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in- will definitely be back again and again :)

I would have put a zero star if there was one.. I ordered breakfast room service this morning and I like to take my time eating .. I had the do not disturb sign on the door ... someone knocks on the door and I chose not to answer because I wanted my peace and quiet hence the sign.. he knocks a couple of times more and proceeds to open the door and sticks his head in asking to take the table .. I was as stunned as angry .. this is the Ritz Carlton, do they not teach their staff the meaning of do not disturb signs !!!! ? Thank God I was fully clothed having the rest of my food and coffee that he took with table before I finished it ... Its a pity for such a place to have such a management style ...

Amazing hotel with nice facilities and rooms.. the staff are very active and well mannered which is what to expect at a brand like the Ritz.. As a platinum member I got a very decent upgrade to a nice suite despite arriving at 8a.m.. Only downside was the breakfast which was a little disappointing in terms of quality and variety for a usual Ritz-Carlton

Old hotel, showing signs of its age clearly. Starting from elevators! It should not take 5-6 mins to go 2 story up. It should also be possible to walk up/down but in this hotel it is not. They have a Ritz Kids club but club is not open, really. Parents must be there with kids. What is the point of this club? Kids clubs are formed to give a little break to families but Ritz Istanbul don’t get this. The people who are working in this hotel, especially Bleu/Breakfast/Restaurant staff is incredible. They are simply perfect. I would stay in this hotel again if they fix the problem with kids club and renovate.

We recently had the most incredible experience at Ritz Carlton Istanbul. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The concierge immediately ran up the stairs to provide teddy bears for our kids, setting a high standard for our stay. The kids play area was wonderful and perfect for entertaining younger ones. We only planned a two-day stay initially but due to its incredible amenities and hospitality, we decided to extend our stay an extra day! The breakfast selection was absolutely superb with an excellent variety of international dishes and local delicacies. On top of that, there was a live pianist playing in the mornings which added an extra level of elegance and sophistication to the ambiance. We also couldn't get over how beautiful the view was from their restaurant - it was truly breathtaking! Last but certainly not least, of all our hotel stays, the attention to detail for the kids was top notch. Little kid utensils and high chairs were always readily available along with kids coloring books and crayons. The housekeeping staff were also very attentive and did a great job of keeping our room clean and tidy throughout our stay. What’s more, they left adorable treats like chocolates and mints on our pillows each night, making us feel right at home! Overall, we had an amazing time at Ritz Carlton Istanbul and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious five star experience!

I'm sorry, but you forced me to contact here. I stayed at your hotel between 19-22 March (room no: 305) and my friend (room no: 1402) stayed at your hotel on the same dates. He made the payment, and on the same day, you took a $1500 (22.000 TL) authorization from my credit card while checking in to the hotel. Later, when we were checking out, you stated that you canceled the provision and that your bank would return/release the provision in a few days. When we last spoke on the 30th of the month, you clearly stated that there was a mishap and that you canceled the authorization taken from my friend's card, but not mine. I urgently want my provision to be canceled and refunded today. After that, I don't want to contact you again, I request you to cancel properly, immediately TODAY. On the very first day, I called you and stated, is there a payment missing, tell me, so that we can do it. You said no. If so, please correct your mistake today. I'm sure many of your friends have the necessary information because I contacted them several times, but I could not get any results.

Perfectly located hotel in Istanbul, you are near many touristic sites and all of the delicious restaurants Istanbul has to offer. The staff was very friendly, our room and hotel over all were impeccably clean. We had a garden view from our room and it was truly beautiful, next time we will go for Bosphorus. It was our anniversary the staff left a cake as well as the room decorated as such. The spa was also extremely clean, beautiful and relaxing. Only thing i would ask for would be more recommendations in terms of dining from concierge but other than that this hotel was perfect and would/ will stay here again.

Excellent hotel. We stayed three days in Ritz Istanbul. From the reception to the house keeping, everyone was so friendly and professional. Special thanks to the reception, they handled every request quickly and professionally. The room was big and clean. And thanks to the recent renovation, this old hotel looked anew. Nothing to complain about this hotel, except the drinks at the roof could be improved. I would stay again next time I visit Istanbul and recommend it to everyone who visits the city.

It’s a good hotel. I stayed here with my wife for a few days. We were given a room on the 2nd floor. The staff were polite and professional, and they genuinely tried to help. Security seems to be very tight and well controlled. I’m disappointed they still have a smoking area in the restaurant. When the wind blows, you’ll smell the smoke, if you are sitting close to the smoking area. Building itself is old but rooms and restaurants are renovated and clean. I personally would prefer to stay in a newly built hotel but overall this is a good hotel.

The hotel staff provided 11/10 service! They accommodate every request and exceed your expectations every time! The rooms were immaculate and the bed was the most comfortable thing I've ever laid on. Unfortunately, as a titanium member you don't get any of the services other Marriott hotels offer. No complimentary lounge access and breakfast. Beware of the park view rooms. Vodafone park is just outside the window and concerts go until 1-2am.

My 60th Birthday celebrations I had my 60th birthday party at the Ritz carlton in Istanbul on the 15th Oct 2022. Meryem and Cenan who were responsible for my party exceeded our expectations. The service by all staff was exceptional, and very accommodating. My 105 guests said that the service was the best and they would return. Ahmed and also the chap in charge of the Grand hall were also exceptional. We would all return soon. We are very proud of you God bless you all Amin Gabriel Kay Ige

I was pretty disappointed. Check in was great. It took over an hour to get our bags and I really needed them because I was recovering from surgery. When I tried to call, none of the lines were answering on multiple extensions. The bed is super soft and you’re sinking and rolling into the middle. The TV is not a smart TV so you only have a handful of English channels, most of which are news. This was a disappointing moment. I called multiple times for Q-tip swabs since I had surgery and needed them, but nobody was bringing them. Last negative is the hotel is located on a hill and everything is a walk. Positives were that the room was nice with excellent amenities. Room service was delicious and came super quick. In fact, it’s one of the fastest I’ve ever seen. Breakfast was nice and the employees are great. I loved the piano player, she’s so graceful. All the restaurants were spectacular. We went to Nobu and the bistro a few times. Maid service is the best in this hotel. They packed my bags perfectly and cleaned my room twice a day. Very thankful for the that and they always made little “designs” on my bed using my scarves. That’s was really a nice touch.
