If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would! I have been to this hotel with a large party for 3 years now and each year the service has become increasingly worse. Hotel is extremely outdated, rooms smell like smoke and mold despite staying on a non-smoking floor. Room was never cleaned and towels are extremely old (was wiping myself the tissues- but even those weren't replenished). Service was poor and front desk never understood our issues after discussing multiple times. I would stay away from this hotel, there are better ones in the area. Wish I can get my money back!

    * rooms are ok. Fairly spacious. But the new renovated wing doesn’t have bath tubs (a must for our kids) so had to accept me in the old wing. Bathroom doesn’t have an overhead shower. No place to keep stuff near the tub. * staff at reception or concierge or almost everywhere aren’t friendly or welcoming. Except the housekeeping staff. They were so sweet. But elsewhere, oh my God. Prepare for a straight face, rude and unfriendly people everywhere in Turkey * breakfast lounge was good. Friendly staff. Not much change in the breakfast over the 4 mornings that we were there. * we were on a non smoking floor but the smell of smoke in our room was overwhelming at times. Maybe from the AC. Housekeeping apparently tried but to no relief. * not much eating in restaurant options in the hotel but surely many around it. The Chinese place was very expensive considering the poor google reviews we read. Didn’t go to the Indian one.

Rooms are old but they are going to renovate them soon. The room is clean and spacious and the view is beautiful. The hotel has very nice garden that you can have a walk in

This is my third stay at the Hilton in Istanbul and I’ve never been more disappointed in the service I’ve received. I remember my first trip to Istanbul where I stayed at the Hilton. Upon arrival at the hotel, the towels and sheets in the rooms were disgusting and dirty. Even after complaining to the front desk we still encountered an issue with the towels. The service five years ago compared to now is incredible. The customer service is incredibly hostile towards customers and unhelpful. They tried to charge a service fee for our group to simply provide plates and forks for a cake we already brought with us. Needless to say, we declined on that offer and found our own plates (despite their dirty looks). Part of the charm of this hotel comes for the history and antiquity it holds amongst the landscape of Istanbul. However, this does not denote that the facilities and service provided by the hotel need to stay in that past. This hotel needs serious renovations and I’m won’t be interested in staying at this hotel anytime in the future. You can reach me at the Ritz Carlton Istanbul on my next trip.

Old hotel with wonderful renovation. The rooms are very clean. I took the room facing the sea. I had a very attractive view both day and night, I recommend it to everyone. Breakfast was good and lunch and dinner were to suit all tastes. All in all, thanks to the Hilton Collection for making a memorable stay for us.

The hotel is great. Great location (walking distance to Taksim square) and absolutely great staff and service and the rooms was clean. The only thing I would say is that the rooms needs an update, the room was a bit outdated. For else, very classy hotel with a lot facilities. The security was good, we felt very safe. We had a beautiful view from our balcony facing the water. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very disappointed. Multiple issues. I’m a Hilton Diamond member so have stayed internationally at many Hilton hotel over the years. I would not recommend staying here. 1. There is an annual summer music concert series and the hotel is directly adjacent to the amphitheater. The music will keep you up until 1-2 AM. When I spoke to the hotel their solution was to give me earplugs (really!). 2. The rooms are very dated, run down, and old. 3. Cleanliness is an issue. 3. Customer service is not on par with other five star hotels 4. The location is way too far from everywhere you need to be (as it relates to the tourist sites etc). Transportation is a huge issue, it’s almost impossible to find a cab willing to take you across river, and if they do, you’ll pay an exorbitant amount. I have stayed at their sister hotel (the Conrad) multiple times, and had a much better experience there.

I am adding this review to share with you my experience. The hotel is currently under renovation, so everything is almost closed or relocated. I’ve been there multiple times before and I can say that when everything is open it is one of the nicest hotels in Istanbul. So please check that the amenities you want are open before booking. But, if you come now you should ask for executive lounge access. The food is the most amazing I got. Everything is unique and you don’t need to pay for a dinner. And the manager of the hotel always tries to find a solution. Also: a big thanks to Ergin A. who was fantastic. Always nice and smiling, the best possible staff manager. He made my stay amazing.

A hotel of this heritage and architectural importance needs to rejuvenate itself continuously while at the same time also keeping its character. Poor marks for both.

I went there for a event. Event area was good and placing of the stands were fine. Toilets were clean and air conditioning was good. Event organization company had been hired too many interns for servicing of catering, that's why service quality was not good. Location of the hotel is fantastic. Too easy to go somewhere from there.

Very nice hotel and located in a great area. Easy bus access and plenty of cabs in the area. Prices were reasonable. The morning breakfast in the executive lounge was just so so but the views are amazing. Great front desk service and we stayed in one of the more updated rooms. Excellent pool for the kids. I would definitely stay here again.

I will not recommend this hotel if you have an Asian sounding name or look Asian. You will get racially profiled. Happened to us twice. Part of a group of 15. 6 of us were of Asian origin. We all received rooms the farthest away from the lobby both at the start and end of the tour. So it cannot be a co-incidence. At the end of our tour we literally had to take 2 separate elevators to get to the lobby. It took me 3 minutes to walk from my room and 2 elevators on the opposite ends of the corridor. All the other western guests had rooms with easy access to the lobby. The reception staff were rude. Check the 5 star contributors. Mostly low contributors.

Good hotel, we like it, ancient traditions are very well seen here. In comparison with other modern and new hotels this hotel has bright history and it is felt in every detail. We came with 17 people group with prior reservation but we had to wait more at registration. They need to improve serving big group guests. There are four bottles of water and many coffee and teas with coffee machine. Washroom has plenty of soaps and washers, it is worth mentioning.

This is where I go for my Rotary Meetings when in Istanbul Turkey. The first Hilton Property in Europe and still holds its reputation as a five star property. Never had a bad experience here in all my visits.

"Old school" hotel built 1955. Just amazing and very polite service and staff. Naturally you can't hide the age of the building, but you can do marvels with outstanding service. Room was nice and roomy. KING-size bed, with night table and side chair for reading. Separate office desk with own chair, normal multichannel tv and minibar + instant coffee/tee and complimentary water. On-suite was functional, but outdated. Towels though we're super nice. Easily best part in the room was the super comfy KINGsize bed with ultra soft pillows which confirmed ultimate sleep! I liked, some maybe not, but it's difficult to please everyone. Highly recommended.

The location is amazing! There are many parks, attractions and shops nearby and it is just a couple minutes walk to Taksim Square. The hotel itself was modern and the fitness facility was great. The breakfast was good and offered a variety of options. The rooms were spacious and had anything you could need. I recommend staying here!

Staying at the Hilton Bosphorus in Istanbul was an exceptional experience. The hotel’s location is superb, offering stunning views and convenient access to many attractions. The attention to detail throughout my stay was remarkable, from the immaculate cleanliness to the numerous thoughtful gestures. The staff exhibited the utmost professionalism, providing exemplary service that truly enhanced my visit. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a seamless and enjoyable stay in Istanbul.

This is a real good Hilton hotel and deserves a 5 star rating. Granted, prices are steep, especially compared to 2021. And yes, it is a busy hotel on a busy street - so taxis can be an issue. But in terms of the rooms, the executive lounge, the food, the staff and also the facilities everything is of a very high standard. If one were to nitpick: the bathroom amenities could be better. Otherwise tiptop.

Got to be the best hotel in Istanbul! The location and the terrace and tremendous!! And if you want to be treated right, seek our Furkan and have him make you a cocktail. You’ll be glad you did!!

I come to the Hilton Bosphorus for the swimming pool. It's is the best quality/price performance you can find in Istanbul. The people working here are very helpful and will always try their best to make your staying agreeable. The food and drinks are always fresh. The swimming pool is for families, there are kids running around and playing at all time, if you are looking for an adult club like place, this is not the place.

The hotel is amazing, secured, and elite. People are very friendly and welcoming, specially Mr. Yassin ( he welcomed me with his coffee which was after very long flight - I’ll not forget Him) and his Colleagues at the entrance, they are helping a lot. The breakfast buffet has many fresh and tasty varieties. Mr. Mehmet Emin in the restaurant is very helpful for the guests requests and service. I’m giving 5 stars for all services and amenities in the this hotel which i strongly recommend for international travelers.

A very impressive historical hotel. Not the very best breakfast food selection I've ever seen (the service however was excellent) . Be careful booking a family room. The sofa beds are on the small side.

An old and famous hotel that has good access to the city's tourist centers. This hotel also has a green area and a view of the Bosphorus Strait. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff was very polite. In general, it is a classic and luxury hotel to stay.

Wonderful staff, every effort is made to accommodate any request. When the hotel internet went down, they immediately sent a mobile internet box. We had a hot water interruption, and they sent a delicious cake and dry fruits to compensate. Will stay again when I visit turkey again.

I recently stayed at Hilton Hotel and my experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me with my luggage and provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel and its amenities. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities such as a TV, air conditioning, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom was spotless and had plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. Unfortunately, I got sick during my stay, but the hotel staff went above and beyond to help me. They provided me with a list of nearby pharmacies and even offered to purchase the medication for me. This level of service was truly exceptional and made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Hilton Hotel for its excellent service, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. I give this hotel a perfect 10 out of 10 rating and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Great location! The building is old but the rooms are clean and nice with and really nice balconies with view to the garden and bosphorus. The staff are very nice; the breakfast is excellent; the terrace with the bar is excellent. One day we came from the day trip and we found a complimentary shampagne, another day we got complimentary sweets.

The family & I had the best time in the hotel. I loved the breakfast selection and the staff were very friendly. It was sometimes difficult because of the language barriers but luckily there was Mr. Youssef Najem, public relations officer, who helped us a lot during our stay. He was always happy and greets everyone with such joy. He gave us pointers on sightseeing and suggested nice restaurants in the area. He would talk to all the guests and help then as much as possible. In the lobby he would walk to greet all guests and talk to them to see how they are doing. He is kind with all ages even with children he is very sweet. He talks softly which makes the guest comfortable to raise their concern and talk to him if there was some issue in the the hotel. We were impressed that he was very knowledgeable and could he could speak several languages.

The hotel was partially renovated and some floors were closed. I stayed a room located just under the roof with a beautiful Bosporus view. Breakfast was fantastic as always. Room was quiet and comfortable.

A lovely hold fashioned hotel, ideally located. Stunning views of Bosphorus. Good gym, pool, Turkish bath, sauna and steam room. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the property is currently undergoing some very important improvement building works. So if you are located on the wrong side of the building, you will not be able to enjoy the balcony. Overall, it is a lovely hotel and no doubt will be even better when the works are completed.

Expensive. Stayed for attending to a nearby conference, therefore was a convenient location. Rooms are nice, classic, elevators are confusing. Just for staying, better options would be found for the same price (250$).

We enjoyed 4 days & nights at the Hilton Istanbul Bosporus. Each morning began with a fabulous breakfast buffet full of healthy choices and kind, responsive, helpful staff, such as Burak. Other than opening earlier (6:30am in late May), we could not have asked for a better start to each day.

Very good breakfast, amazing rooms (tip - request extra pillows). Get a drink on the patio with the view. And check out Spa, I had one of the best deep tissue massages here. Thank you to all staff, I felt very taken care of. Definitely will be back

Our stay was a little disappointing. Our room was really noisy, and when we told to the receptionist, he just simply said that they had some renovation. I was reading other reviews and I just came across the same comment as mine from other passengers of this Hotel, that was related to 2021. It seems strange that everybody was experiencing the same problem in different dates and even years. We just stayed there for three nights, and the second night when we came back to our room, we noticed that nobody took the dirty mugs and they even forgot to charge coffee and water. When we asked them to do that, they didn’t even apologize and they charged them impolitely. We weren’t silicified at all.

I stayed at this lovely hotel 4 years ago, and I just decided to post my review (I didn’t realised it missed posting it!). This is the rand old dame of Istanbul, offering a very beautiful view of the Bosphorus and the lovely views of river side of Istanbul. The rooms are very big, and offers a mix of old and new - and nicely done as such. Amenities as well provided, service was excellent and very comfortable bed too!

Unbeatable hotel charm with every visit. Located on a large land with greenery all around. Even though you're in the center in one of the world's busiest cities, but the moment you step into the hotel it's all calm and serene. Hotel staff are well trained and you feel they have been working with the hotel for a long time, hence the passion they show.

Wonderful experience. Receptionist, Betul, was remarkably friendly and helpful; her attitude and professionalism really set the stage for my stay. Although an (much) older hotel, the rooms were still modern enough and comfortable with amenities to enjoy my visit and look forward to future stays. Highly recommended venue for Istanbul.

Nice ritzy place. Great restaurants nice view of city and sea. Up on the hill with nice breeze close to tacit Square. Hotel costs are like one the hundred and a half a night but it is competitive to higher end hotels at an ok price with superb resort facilities. Top end spa playgrounds gardens views bars boutique high end souvenirs. One if the finest hiltons in turkey.

Stay was so normal, would say its what you would get in a 4 star hotel. Room is below average, service at the reception was poor, service in the restaurant was poor, food was so bad and expensive do not eat there. The good thing is the beautiful view and staff are lovely and they try to help.

  • 5/5 MNB 2 years ago on Google
It's a good hotel and with good staff deserving of its ratings. But the first two nights I spent I woke up every night @2am because the room next to mine had very loud occupants and because the rooms were not sound proofed I suffered through it. The second night I called the front desk and had my room changed in the middle of the night. It was annoying but it was the guest and not the hotel's fault. I'll suggest the hotel invests in sound proofing their rooms.

One of the best hotels in İstanbul, architecture, location and hospitality wise. Very good food, very good service.. Terrace is very nice and unique. May be the only down side is the phallic Ritz-Carlton Hotel building blocking the view!

The service is pathetic to say the least. Probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in with respect to service. We stayed at Double Tree at Kusadasi before this which was a 4 star hotel and they were so much better for half the price. At this property, right from the check-in, where we were given our rooms at 4pm that too after repeatedly asking for it (check-in time is 2:00pm), the experience has been quite a hassle and not at all smooth. The rooms are spacious and the property itself is nice, but that becomes totally irrelevant when the service is poor. We had other issues as well. You'll find so many hotels with better service in the same area.

This was a great hotel to stay at the attention and professionalism of the staff was exceptional. The outdoor swimming pool was the reason we picked here and we weren't disappointed. Although it was usually busy between 10 and 1600 there was enough loungers available at all times. The only downside was the rooms were a little dated due to the age of the hotel but it was only small issues like having to unplug lamps in order to charge phones. All in all a great hotel only a short walk from Taksim square but far enough aware from the crowds, Will definitely stay here next time we are in Istanbul.

It was a great experience to have stayed in an iconic hotel like Hilton. It is a modern antique, stands long and deep. Didn’t have the chance to explore all of its places as we only stayed there for 2 nights. It is not that close the metro station, you have to walk like 15 minutes to reach Taksim metro You have to walk like 5 minutes to reach the main street to get a taxi, or you can wait inside to hotel while you have ordered a taxi which is a long wait due to large demand of taxis Istanbul

We spent 10 days in this hotel in Mar 2021, for a family reunion. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are extremely friendly and caring. Always smiling and trying their best to be helpful. The building, while being a little bit old, is beautiful and exceptional. For example, there was no USB charger in our room. The lights are quite old. However, this "oldness" gives some kind of vintage character to the hotel. Staying here feels like golden old days of travel, like when Pan Am was the master of skies! The good news is that they are renewing the hotel gradually. This hotel has a large outdoor space/garden and a very nice outdoor pool (which was close during our travel in March). A lot of nice [brand] hotels in busy parts of Istanbul have no garden or any meaningful outdoor space. So this is a huge plus for this Hilton. Indoor pool was quite nice. The food in Bosphorus Terrace restaurant is an amazing blend of Turkish and international cuisine. All-day buffet is available too, reasonably priced. Other than the main restaurant, it has an open outdoor bar/restaurant (with radiant heaters), an Indian restaurant on top floor with nice views, and a Chinese restaurant. We did not try the food in the latter two, not everyone in our party was a fan of Chinese or Indian food. Will I go there again? Yes, absolutely.

Stayed for 6 nights in Hilton Bosphorus. Nice and cooperative staff. Nice food places within hotel premises and great room service available 24/7. Enjoyed aesthetic city views from our room. Rooms were clean and tidy, same can be said about the bathroom. Had no problems with the heating system. Would opt again for our next visit to Istanbul.

The hotel is a little old but acceptable. The breakfast is average quality and the location is a little far from mals or historical places.

Great location, and very hospitable staff. The normal rooms are a little small, but the suites & family rooms are great. I love you terrace and the view we have from it.
