In a prior visit 6 months ago I had some issues but wow this time did the hotel make up. Service was excellent from beginning to start. To start the hotel is in a great location close to lots of restaurants. Staff are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant is nice and again service is excellent here. I am sure after this good experience I will be back.

In general hotel is fine, basic hotel, nothing special. I think it does not worth the price. Breakfast also too expensive 20 eur per person for what you get. You can eat outside and get turkish breakfast for 2 person for same price. Staff was nice and friendly. Cleaning was chaotic and weird (bathrobe belt disappeared, we found some medicine on the table which did not belong to us, our plastic spoon was broken by half and left on the table). Location is good, nice street with cafes and restaurants around. Was annoying that we could hear neighbors from the house nearby and also sigarette smoke went to our room, so was hard to sleep with open windows. Sauna was nice, it's small sauna for 2 people. Gym was also small, but good and clean. Room was spacious and comfortable, except for the bed. For me it was too soft, I had lower back pain after sleeping.

Its location in the beginning is very hard to find as it is in residential area. But within 10min walking distance there are tons of nice restaurants and access to bus, train, and ferry. Ferry rides were very good. Large room, clean, and good bed (Marriott level)

Let me start by saying we are repeat customers of this hotel and we had been very satisfied including up until August this year. But in all of my years staying at hotels including this one, I had never, EVER, seen housekeeping FLAT OUT IGNORE THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN and waltz right into the room. We called the front desk to ask why the sign was ignored and we get a “what do you want us to do?” type response. I clearly did not wish for a stranger to be in my room while I was away. I trusted this hotel would show the utmost respect to my privacy. Furthermore, I trusted that this hotel management would right any mistake if they made one. False on both accounts. My trust is completely eroded. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

This hotel is at the top of the hill in the trendy Besiktas neighborhood and a short walk from the ferry terminal. I stayed in a junior suite which has a separate sitting room which was nice. Everything was done in the modern style. The only thing I didn’t like about the room is that the lighting. The bathroom was dark for makeup purposes and the sitting area was also hard with the exception of one harsh desk lamp.

One of the finest hotels in Istanbul in the Sisli area. The hotel is very cozy, located in a very nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops near-by. They have spacious rooms that are classy, and the furniture is well maintained. Their staff is very friendly, and their breakfast is excellent. It is a 5 minute walk to the Sisli bus station, 10 minutes walk to Kabataš tram station, and 20 minutes walk to Taksim square.

Absolute worse! This hotel literally kicked us out of our room and threw all of our clothes at the libby cuz we were late for a check out due to traffic. Cleaning staff are very rude! I do not recommend this hotel what so ever! Oh and btw i am good friends with Claire Digiacomo and i will be taking this up with her.

The hotel is decent and well maintained. However, registration staff are difficult and gave me a hard time about including breakfast with my stay. Warning you are unable to control the room temperature. My room was hot and I was trying to lower the temperature, but the front desk told me that it runs a central heating and cooling system. He told me to open the window. They also police the Internet and block access to sites. The hotel is not reasonably located and as someone mentioned it is in a steep hill. Also, it is a hassle to get there by cab because of the location and the one way streets. There’s limited options for great Turkish restaurants and found myself always traveling at least 15 mins outside. Good things about the hotel, the breakfast and cleaning staff were awesome. The breakfast staff were constantly making rounds making sure everyone is good. The bed was comfy and no noise. Overall, disappointed that this is an AC hotel with little character. I also did not understand why they ran your luggage through a scanner. Gave me communist vibes along with the Internet policing. Definitely a no for me!

This hotel is absolutely one of the best. You will get a phenomenal location near many amazing restaurants and cafes. The breakfast might be pricier to other local places but it is much worth it for the convenience of having food before your daily tour. The staff is phenomenal, there was no one that didn’t smile or wasn’t helpful, so thank you for all you guys have done. The only con out of this hotel is the bed. You can tell it is very uncomfortable, your body will tell you the next day, unfortunately. Hopefully this will be taken care of and the hotel can gain their 5 star hotel.

Very convenient and luxurious location nearby lots of restaurants, caffe, bars, and very friendly staff and welcoming. Lobby is very small, breakfast area is also small, rooms are fine. The service is not that much, we slept 3 days sweating, they have the worst AC ever and when we ask them to fix it, they just disregard our request. Even when they took our feedback, I told them everything was fine except for the AC they disregarded us.

The worst Marriott Property I have stayed at in recent memory. Location: On Google Maps the location is good, however, the reality is that it is not. Due to unique one way rules the Taxi Drivers don't want to drive you up to the hotel but to drop you off about a 1/4 mile away. While this would not be a problem, it is as the hotel is located on a hill with severe slope. So it is 1/4 mile, uphill, with a steep slope. While walking uphill you have to deal with broken or no side walks and vehicular traffic. Service: Some of rudest service anywhere. Clearly a hotel where the staff is arrogant and insensitive. They feel powerful and they want you to know it. Rooms: Don't go by the picture on the website. The rooms are small, but clean. The HVAC system is tied to the building so you don't have individual control over the fan or the heating / cooling. You can hand write a note to have the window opened. Which when opened did provide some respite by some cross ventilation. Without the open window the rooms felt suffocating. Summary: Given the opportunity, avoid this Hotel. It costs more money than several other Marriott Properties. I was lured in by the location, but as I found out, it is not a good location.

For my first trip to Istanbul, my wife and I decided along with our friends to stay at this hotel for 4 nights. In terms of location, it was close to the majority of the touristic attractions in Istanbul (not more than 15mins). Furthermore, the streets below were great to walk through, boasting multiple cafes and restaurants that came alive in the afternoon and evening. The room we stayed in had ticked all the basic requirements considering the value for money. Service was slow when requested and the language barrier caused a few misunderstandings. However, the staff did always try to enhance their service whenever we highlight an issue. Also they were very helpful in arranging prime view seatings at restaurants, which we really appreciated. Overall the stay was pleasant and a good value for money.

Very clean, good rooms, comfortable beds, everything looks modern and of good quality. Only spent there 1 night, but the area looked interesting, close to the embankment and tourists attractions.

We stayed there three nights. We requested towels for the room and was informed by the front desk that they will provide us the towel later on, but they never provided towel which we requested.

Nice hotel, great location in the center of Besiktas, breakfast is good, staff is kind but watch out when depositing money at the reception it’s being over a week now and they didn’t return us the money, also when using WiFi watch out cause they charge you when you checkout Rooms are ok but no separation between toilets and bedroom

Great location, very nice spacey and clean rooms. Friendly service and hotel location 40-45min drive from Airport. Local bus stop 1 min away and ferry 10min away. 10 min walk in either direction to bars and restaurants, shops down the hill. Or uphill 15mins to shopping area.

It’s a very clean and descent hotel but the most important thing to know is that this hotel is located in a VERYYY steep street! It’s totally fine if you don’t have any health issues or injuries but otherwise it’s hard to go up the hill!

Located in a safe area surrounded by restaurants and shops AC Hotel by Marriott Istanbul Macka offers good value for the dollar. From convenient 24/7 Check-in to a gym opened the same hours guests can rest easy on comfortable beds in rooms with good water pressure and strong WiFi. English-fluent and accommodating, be aware that rooms are a bit smaller than the usual 4-star and the layout of Junior Suites doesn't offer much privacy for the shower or bathroom.

Location was OK, staff were helpful, and the place was really clean. The number of rooms that have a view for the bosphorus are few, so my room was big but it didn't have a bosphorus view. But overall, great hotel.

I stayed one night at this hotel in April 2021, using Marriott Bonvoy rewards (it costs approximately ~12,000 points). The hotel room was clean, but slightly small. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It seemed that the hotel had only one concierge, who had to work at the reception desk at times, so he was rather busy. In my opinion, for Marriott Category 3, the hotel is nice. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Istanbul for a business trip or short vacation.

Location, location, location. Very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms are not too big but good enough. For the price you pay definitely worth it.

Great place to stay and great location. Staff are super helpful and efficient. The room we stayed in was awesome; it was a standard room but it was surprisingly big. Great bathroom and very clean, too. If you are considering staying here, I’d say do it!

The hotel location is great, in Besiktas area, walking distance to the Bosphorus. 40 minutes walk to Ortakoy Mosque, plenty of restaurants with street food on the way. The rooms are good sized and well appointed. There's a very basic gym as well.

Except room & restroom & bath be a bit small, all else was great. I was able to check in early , staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was Ok. Overall good experience in this hotel. If you are with kids, this place is a bit small.

If you have insomnia, this is your hotel! Love how quiet and peaceful this hotel is - have been traveling In Europe for the last month and this is the first hotel I haven’t needed to use earplugs in! If you want really deep sleep, ask for one of the basement floors -even during the day I can’t even hear the street noise or mosque call to prayer.

I had a short stay at AC Hotel Istanbul which is the cheapest of the 20+ Marriott choices in the city besides Courtyard near the old airport which is not a convenient location anymore. In the city proper, I found that AC is an excellent budget option considering the price. AC Hotel is located in an upscale neighborhood only a 10-minute walk from St.Regis and Park Hyatt nearby. AC is also close to the Besiktas neighborhood which is one of my favorites in the city with its numerous restaurants and pubs. I booked the entry level room (listed at 23-25 sqm) and was upgraded as Ambassador Elite to a junior suite (25-30 sqm). The room was of excellent quality considering AC is not a premium brand – I especially liked the sturdy hardwood floors and the large window and blinds in the stand-alone shower. The problem was that while called a junior suite, many hotels in Istanbul have entry level rooms which are more spacious than 30 sqm so for people who value space this is probably not an ideal hotel. Also one issue was that the working desk oddly had a large air conditioning vent which resulted in my hands being cold if working from there. Breakfast was traditional Turkish, they had a staff-served buffet which was decent but nothing that stood out except for the venue which had a quaint and enjoyable outdoor terrace in the back in addition to seating indoors. They also had egg dishes prepared from the kitchen in addition to the buffet. Overall AC is a solid budget choice with excellent hardware in a good location. The main drawback is for stays where I care about having more space for multiple nights then it’s probably not the best choice considering the generous upgrades to spacious suites at other properties in the city for Marriott Bonvoy elite guests. In addition many hotels in a slightly higher price range which have a lounge such as Sheraton, Le Meridien, Renaissance, etc. can provide better value to people who want a couple of drinks in the evening.

Good location. Very clean. Newly renovated. Good price quality ratio

The rooms are clean and the staff are really friendly. However, the wifi is not free and it’s not cheap (7€/day) and the included breakfast was really bad, it was mainly cucumber and cheese. There’s a local pastry shop 3 min walking distance from the hotel where you can have authentic Turkish breakfast and will cost you much less!

Great location, very nice rooms but even better staff. I was on a business trip and often getting in late and the restaurant would be closed but the staff would always kindly make me a coffee. Rooms are give the balcony had a good view. House keeping was stellar. The gym and health club were closed due to the pandemic but other than that, it was a great stay.
