Outstanding stay at a truly luxurious venue and incredible location. Beware of fake bad reviews below, clearly from competitors trying to damage its reputation. This place has everything we were looking for. Best possible location to explore Istanbul, tasteful decoration and style, historic but renovated building, incredible breakfast and very attentive staff. Sure there’s some construction happening in front but nothing that bothered us or diminished our experience. Also as a Marriott member we got upgraded to an incredible suite with Bosporus views that made our stay. I would (and I will) come back a thousand more times. Last thing I’ll say is that this place is also an amazing deal for such a nice, historic 5 star location.

The service is excellent. The fitout is superb—it’s a dense area of a very dense city but the hotel and restaurants feel spacious and bright. It’s a breakfast you won’t forget. Shout out to Murat. From check-in to the bar hooking it up by putting our name on the guest lists of local clubs—there’s nothing more I could ask for! I’m coming back!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the JW Marriott Hotel in Istanbul, a place that exudes luxury and sophistication. My arrival at the hotel at 4 AM was met with an impressive display of opulence. The lobby boasted stunning marble flooring, impeccable cleanliness, and an inviting, pleasant scent that immediately set a high standard. 🌟 My room was spacious, featuring a host of amenities that ensured a comfortable stay. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the view from the room was breathtaking. A standout feature was the electric curtains, adding a touch of modern convenience to the room. 🏞️ The breakfast experience was nothing short of spectacular. Served on a stunning rooftop terrace, it allowed me to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise, adding to the overall ambience. The quality of the food was exceptional, making each morning a delightful experience. 🌅 The hotel staff deserves a special mention for their courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist enhanced the overall experience significantly. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at the JW Marriott Hotel in Istanbul. The combination of luxurious amenities, exceptional service, and a magnificent dining experience on the rooftop terrace made for an unforgettable visit. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers seeking luxury and elegance in Istanbul.

Excellent! One of the expensive hotels in Istanbul but it definitely deserves that. If you are looking for a high class hotel for your Istanbul trip and vacation, this is the place which is going to make you fully satisfied. It apparently looks that the hotel Management and Staff are very experienced and well trained. You may have unforgettable moments while having your meals and drink something at the restaurant and the roof bar seeing the panoramic prospect of Istanbul.

Excellent location! Close to most tourist spots in the city. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The reason for the missing star is the view from the window. It’s below average. Make sure to get sea view if you stay here, otherwise you’ll look at a wall.

Overall, it was a good 4 nights in this hotel while attending a work conference in Istanbul Pros: room: we had a room on level 8 with the view of the bosphorus, the palace & Hagia Sophia. It was spacious & comfortable enough for us Breakfast: good spread & options, offering some local Turkish cuisine. One of the manager, Mehmet was kind enough to introduce a spread that Turkish ppl enjoy with their simit which was a nice experience. Staff: excellent hospitality from the front desk & during breakfast. Location: excellent access to restaurants, Galata bridge to walk across to sultanamet, ferry terminals. Cons: Room: despite it size & beauty, we did struggle with the Air conditioning trying to cool the room. The room was never below 21deg throughout our stay. On our last night it broke down but after reporting it, the stuff quickly moved us to another room; a testament to their service as mentioned above. Our room was also not well insulated, you can hear other guests coming in-out of their rooms as their doors close; & being a room under the restaurant, you can hear the chairs dragging on the floor above. Wish there are more opportunity for the breakfast crew to introduce guests to the local Turkish delicacies that was served. Many was displayed but most guests aren’t sure how or what to eat them with. There is a tea lounge in this hotel but the tea was not the same tea brand that was offered in the room. I wish the hotel would consider offering their teas in the room, which allows guests to try & maybe entice them to the tea lounge. There were empty tea containers displayed in the lounge but when I asked the staff about it, or to try the smell the scent, the staff had politely dismissed the request The check out staff asked for rating at check out time & was surprised & felt slightly “insulted” we would give 7.5-8/10 to the hotel.

This hotel could be one of the best city hotels in its category. First of all, i have to tell you that the concierge, breakfast and housekeeping were extremely friendly and kept their words when we advised them something to them. The concierge and bellman worked hand in hand to handle my medical emergency at night to get my medicine delivered to my room, this was exceptional! Especially at the breakfast they were taking care of us a lot. They also allowed us to drink our tea during breakfast at Octo restaurant while it was not used as breakfast restaurant. I can assure that the quality of food and service in general were excellent. The bad side is the management, they promised us another room at checkin, which will be ready on the third day of our stay. I was at the reception 5x every time they had different excuses. First they told me, they will come back to me, which never happened, and the second time they said they will call me back shortly, third time they were surprised about this promise and tried to keep it and said it’s ready next morning, next morning it was occupied bit will be emptied soon, the fifth time it had technical problems and they said they even shifted other guests to another room because of technical problems. So my point is, I couldn’t rely at the reception AT ALL! By the way my bags were packed to move and i unpacked to stay in the same room. On the day of checkout I ordered a taxi from the hotel, i ended up paying 3x the normal fare, the receptionist said it will be slightly more not 2x or 3x. To be fair I don’t need such lies, the reception could have been transparent with me! I highly recommend to have an organised front desk staff, they wasted my time in every case! I felt very bad to handle with them. However, the spa and gym were also very nice.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in August. It’s luxurious, centrally located, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are very spacious. It’s close to many tourist attractions, but the area is very congested. There are many great restaurants nearby including very authentic local ones.

My choices were between St Regis, Ritz or this property. In the end, the JW won due to the location. The property is beautiful but the bathrooms are small for the proportion of the room. Soundproofing is good, I am a light sleeper and I never wore my earplugs, thats a huge deal. A bit difficult to get a taxi from the hotel, you have to walk to the main street but in exchange you get so many local shops and pedestrian lined streets. What really won me over this property is the service I received from Huseyin Akartuna, its was excellent and consistent from the months leading to my arrival via emails to the day we arrived. All the details I provided were taken care of. This is what you expect from a luxury hotel, professional but personal customer service. I am also a healthy eater and I usually dont find a lot of healthy options when it comes to hotel breakfast but this one gets a 2 thumbs up for breakfast that meets the finicky healthy eater. Huge shout out to Gulhan who really made sure my special dietary requests are accommodated during breakfast. I would definitely stay in this property again and I highly recommend.

The rooftop bar is excellent. The drinks menu is extensive and the cocktails were great. The Turkish Raki was the star of the night, very strong and anis flavored, reminded me of Greek ouzo. The view of the city is simply breath taking.

Great location. Easy to take tram to Blue Mosque area. 10min walk to Galata and the hotels back door opens up on bustling street with restaurants and cafes that are open until late. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side. There was a little mix up at check in with my room but ended up in a larger executive room. Rooms were clean and new and staff was very professional, shower was spacious. Breakfast is pretty good with great service, located on the top floor with sweeping views of the city.

Very polite staff and helpful. nothing special to loyalty membership. atrium room size below standard and no bathtub. asked for window room after 1st night, a spacious window room arranged on 3rd night. A little confused as loyalty gift sent on 3rd night stay with wrong name and asked for a deposit again, upon check out the bill come out with 2 rooms per night for 3 nights. Corrected after explanation. Room refurb ongoing. Room quite sound proof. like the piano playing. Restaurant and bar view is good. went for dinner for two nights, window seat not available on booking for same or next day. Waitstaff is nice especially on second night. The cafe is good for a quick meal. overall the facility was under expectation but service is welcoming. Location is convenient for travelling.

This is our first time stay in JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus. Staffs are amazing, extremely friendly, helpful and friendly. Warm welcome when you arrive in the entrance, assist us when we check in and guide us to our room. We get our room upgrade in our second night as we request for a better view- thanks to gold elite status Marriott Bonvoy. Some parts in the hotel may require some attentions in the future like water may split after shower due to gap in between the glass, hot water 💦 system may require some time to warm up I guess, but the rest are just perfect Breakfast buffet are good, lots of selections and nice helpful crew. Dinner dining experience in their restaurant are okay , I will say 9/10 - some of the foods are a bit salty but it is great. Thanks to the lady manager- I guess that serve and guide us to our table. Always lovely and great smile from the crew, thanks to two waiters that serve us in dinner time. Thanks for the great experience and will definitely come back again

They have the friendliest staff ever. The restaurant serve a very good breakfast with great service from everyone there. The room was less than my expectation for a JW Marriott hotel. However, the location is spectacular and I would come again for everything but the room.

This is a 3 stars hotel not 5. Horrible location, too much traffic and taxis will rip you off driving you there that we ended up renting a car. The street is still under construction and the other entry is a pedestrian. The rooms are not special for the price, you can get the same in a regular hotel that costs much less 370€ per night! We had a room with a bosphorus view and although the view is gorgeous when you look outside, the windows are really small and can barely be openeda little to get some air. A real shame. The staff doesn’t make you feel welcome especially those at breakfast. All concierge people were nice though. Also I had make up stain on my sheet and it stayed there which proves they don’t change the sheets. We will definitely not go back. Finally if you need a coiffeur or a good restaurant they send you to the hotel next door (Novotel) which is ridiculous. One last thing, the lobby area is very nice.

Great location. 5 stars. Next to karakoy ferry station. 10 min from taksim. 10 min from fatih area. You can access old style streets and restaurants from back door. And access modern stile malls and shops and restaurants directly on water from front door

We loved every moment. Very beautiful rooms, friendly staff and amazing views from restaurant. Currently some construction is taking place so outside doesn't look as good. Give it sometime and it'll be on the best street by the water.

Hotel is in great location but we had to walk through muddy construction site to get to the hotel because JW Marriot failed to inform us regarding the construction. Not a good first experience in Istanbul after flying 21 hours to Istanbul. If you are booking a room here, be prepared to bring your rain boots and walk to get to the hotel and pay extra for the cab fare or book elsewhere.

One of my favorite hotels so far in Istanbul is the stunning views from the upper deck and restaurant area. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms are clean with high-end amenities. The hotel used to be an old soap factory from my understanding and recently renovated a few years back. Breakfast was great with many options to eat and a ton of fresh squeezed drinks. Many restaurants and bars that are walking distance right outside the hotel doors with an amazing shopping center close by.

Great location; it's really easy to get around, including the Asian side. The water pressure is almost too strong. Communicating with the friendly staff beyond simple ideas can be challenging. Would totally stay here again.

Excellent stay in Feb 2023. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. The breakfast was excellent and the concierge helped make all of our dinner reservations. The staff made the stay extremely special and personal. Exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel and location.

We stayed here for a day in a suite during our honeymoon and it was amazing!! The staff is was nice, helpful, and very attentive. The suite was very spacious like an apartment with a view on the Bosphorus and we could see all the main mosques from our bedroom. The food at breakfast was excellent and the Sky lounge had a breathtaking view. Highly recommended and I would definitely go there again.

I have stayed in so many Marriotts across the world. This is surely one of the best mainly because of the staff. You are instantly welcomed with such great people. Especially Burak. He literally carried my 6 year old in his arms directly from taxi as my son had fallen asleep on his way to hotel from airport. Burak recognized us the next day and helped us a lot. Such an amazing soul. Thank you so much Burak! After that, Jeren assisted us in entering our room. She was super nice and helped me capture the room video (which I usually do for my travel video). The next morning we relished our yummy breakfast buffet (especially turkish cuisine part) on top floor with a great view of city. Breakfast team Esra and Ruveyda are awesome. Tenor from guest experience has been helpful. Thiara from concierge team helped us with sightseeing places. To add: Turkish delights every night to the room. Cake surprises for anniversary. Free water bottles every time we ask. Oh! The street right at the front and back of the hotel are filled with popular cafes and restaurants. 5 nights in this hotel went by in a jiffy. Can’t say enough about this beautiful hotel 😊 Highly recommend!

A really great hotel with welcoming and professional staff who really prioritise customer satisfaction. I found the room to be spacious and well designed and the hotel itself to be very pleasant with areas on the 9th floor that have stunning views over the whole city. Breakfast was pleasant with a good selection of everything in the buffet and also a menu to choose from. The hotel is located next to many restaurants and not far from main tourist attractions. I used the gym and found it to be well equipped with good wifi. After an unpleasant experience in the JW Marriott in Dubai only a week earlier I was hesitant to stay here but I’m so glad I did - this hotel is very different in all the right ways and I hope to be back.

The best hotel of Istanbul. Staff is so attentive. The room gets a second cleaning in the evening where they prepare your bed and treat you with complimentary sweets. Concierge service gave fantastic restaurant recommendations and made reservations for me. Strongly recommend!

This hotel has raised the bar for what I expect from a hotel from now on. The staff, especially Baris, went above and beyond to live by their pledge to make the stay a home away from home. I'm a Titanium Elite and stayed here for almost a week using points. Nevertheless, my suite nights awards was approved and I got upgraded to a beautiful one bedroom suite, which was very helpful for me because I was working remotely and it was nice to have a separate spacious living room that became my office. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel very welcome. From my check in experience, any questions I had, giving recommendations about restaurants based on my preferences, making dinner reservations, and even helping me mail a postcard, there was no limit to what they were willing to do to help me and make me feel comfortable. The property is outrageously beautiful. The location is perfect, near restaurants, landmarks, coffee shops just a stone throw away, and public transportation nearby. Breakfast was always very pleasant. We had a beautiful view of the city from the top floor. The restaurant was very nice too, with a view of the Bosphorus. The restaurant staff was equally amazing and helpful. I am currently staying at the Ritz in Istanbul and feeling very underwhelmed. Like I said, the JW Istanbul staff has raised the bar very high. At the Ritz, the staff are very indifferent. No one offers to help me when I am looking around for help. They barely say hi, unlike the JW staff who mostly know me by name and was always trying to take care of me. The experience of staying at JW has made me want to return to Istanbul. They truly have made me feel like I was at home away from home. Being a solo traveler, it was very nice to feel like I wasn't alone and there were people I could rely on. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Indeed, the key to success for any client service business, including hotels like JW Marriott Bosphorus in Istanbul, lies in the staff delivering exceptional services. The hotel staff plays a crucial role in creating a positive guest experience by providing attentive and personalized service. In the case of JW Marriott Bosphorus, the location also contributes to its success. The hotel's advantageous location with a great view of the Bosphorus offers a unique selling point, attracting guests who appreciate scenic views and a tranquil ambiance. Additionally, being within walking distance to Galataport, which includes a shopping mall and a variety of restaurants and cafes, provides convenience and entertainment options for the hotel guests. Combining excellent staff service with a desirable location helps JW Marriott Bosphorus create a memorable experience for its guests, leading to customer satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.

No upgrade for titanium status. The location is amazing but the rooms are a bit worn and the walls are not thick (can hear upstairs music and furniture move). They have rooftop parties on weekends so expect noise and rift raft that comes with it. Gym is very small and there is no pool.

this is the second time to stay at this hotel, good location specially after opening the Galata Port shopping area, good room ,and good service. but still the construction around &front the hotel making it difficult for reaching the hotel and parking.

The room, it's comfort and facilities were superb. The cleaning was on point everyday. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Baris at reception for the warm welcome and all the security and staff. The breakfast was amazing too and the restaurant has amazing views of Istanbul. The location is good as it close famous restaurants like Karaköy Güllüoğlu, Namli Gurme and has Galata port literally opposite of the hotel. It was close to tram facilities and the golden horn bridge.

Great stay at the JW Istanbul. Staff were very welcoming. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom loft suite with interior view. The suite was great but small. I imagine the regular rooms are very small. The food was outstanding and we loved the rooftop bar. Major sites walkable. Would definitely return.

It's nice, but misses a few points to be five stars. It is a historical building so rooms under the 7th floor don't have exterior windows. You look into the atrium as the photos show. The rooms are also undersized for a JW Marriott, and the bathrooms have oversized swinging doors where a pocket door would make so much more sense. If you set your bag down in the rooms foyer, you can't open the bathroom door fully. Our AC didn't work but to their credit they sent a technician who pulled out the blackest filter I've ever seen and got it blowing. All the staff were friendly except for one evening front desk clerk. There is a massive waterfront construction project all along the front, and while it's not the hotel's fault you might want to book elsewhere till it's done. When the project is done they'll be a top location and printing money, but with the construction it's one to avoid for now. On the plus side, the view from the roof is spectacular and the bar up there is an instagram hot spot. Drink prices are well above even Istanbul Hotel Bar average for sure, but it's worth checking out. The restaurant Octo is the same, you're paying for the view.

We booked the JW Marriot Bosphorus for only one night and we completely regretted that decision. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. Every employee was extremely attentive and helpful, starting with Taner, the concierge, who made sure our stay was beyond memorable. The hotel's location is significantly better than any other to explore both the main tourist attractions and the less touristy areas of Istanbul. The value is pretty good. Don't hesitate, stay here.

I had a 3 nights stay in this hotel, the service, luxury breakfast and specially the roof top place was fantastic. On my way to the hotel one taxi mistakenly took our luggage and one of the ladies in the front desk (RABIA) went really above and beyond her duties, called several places and found the taxi and we got back our luggage (still can’t believe it!!!). This is going to be my place to stay in my next trip to Istanbul 👍

Great hotel right on the Bosophorus and beautifully appointed, surrounded by many nice shops and bistros. Turkish people are known for being friendly and nice but the staff’s politeness and friendliness were above and beyond, they were great. The hotel is an easy and beautiful walk from the Grand Bazaar (about 2.5km) and the Hagia Sophia (3km). Traffic in Istanbul is miserable so I do recommend you walk to these places. Also, the hotel has 24 hour room service and their cheeseburger is the best I’ve had in Europe!

Hotel décor is great, staff are friendly, however, when it comes to fixing a persistent problem I would say service is poor. To elaborate, I am on my honeymoon seeing Istanbul and wanting to see and explore the landmarks and sights during the day, whilst at night we would like to relax in the comfort of the room. However, the TV did not work correctly more specifically the Chromecast so we could not enjoy the shows we wanted to watch. This issue started from day 1 of our check in and as we are out during the day, the problem has persisted every night which has meant the technical staff coming to our room at silly hours of the night trying to fix it to no avail instead of relaxing with my spouse. In all credit they have tried to fix it during the day whilst we have been out but everyday when we return the problem is still present and we have a repeat of calling the front desk to try fix the issue. At this point I am fed up of calling and ringing as it is no where near being resolved in day 6 of 7 of my check-in.

Had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Istanbul. From the beginning of our stay the service was amazing, and it continued even after we checked out when we had forgotten some valuables, administration ensured we received our Jewlary after many days. Our room was beautiful with great views and the hotel breakfast buffet was also very nice. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel, and especially about the staff, would highly recommend.

Osman has been so hospitable in attending my husband and I on your trip to Istanbul. He recommended great dishes to order at the rooftop restaurant. Although I do not in particular like fish but his knowledge of dishes really impressed me and I enjoyed the food! Thanks so much Osman for helping us! Looking forward to visiting the restaurant again.

Rooms are too small and beds are extremely tiny. You barely can move when you’re a sleep and most likely will fall if you’re not used to the bed space. Bathroom is extremely small too and you can barely move in it. I didn’t like the breakfast being served at this hotel compared to the ones being served in other parts of the world. Big mistake to include the breakfast into the room reservation, have your breakfast at one of the great restaurants in the city as part of Istanbul experience.
