We have spent the last two years abroad across the world and there isn't.a place that feels as homely as Tilas Guesthouse. Emre is extremely friendly and welcoming. The house is been newly renovated and is absolutely stunning inside. It is a shared house, but there aren't many rooms which means it never feels crowded. You can cook comfortably, the kitchen is stocked like it's your mothers house! Every utensil, kitchen appliance, the whole lot. Emre comes by in the morning and makes freshly made coffee which is left out for guests, if he sees you he'll wish you good morning, ask if you need fresh towels, anything. He's very responsive on message. Istanbul is a big place and can get lonely very quickly, but staying here you are able to feel at home and I'm sure Emre can make some suggestions. The owners are ex-travellers themselves and you get the feeling they really care about the guests. They understand what it's like being on the road, so they have incorporated everything they needed and missed while on the road in this place. The area is very central and in the heart of Kadikoy's Moda area surrounded by beautiful cafes, restaurants and more. Would we stay at Tilas again? Absolutely!

Great location to experience both the Asian and European side of istanbul. Very close the the ferry to commute to other parts of Istanbul. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. Our stay at Tilas House was very pleasant. Rooms were extremely clean, neat and cozy. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!!!

The property is walking distance from Kadikoy metro and ferry; it’s also located near top rated restaurants and cafes. It is a safe neighborhood considering I was traveling alone. You will be greeted by the lovely host who will give you a quick overview of the property. It literally is a home away from home; you can use the kitchen, washing machine, dryer, iron, etc. The size of the room I booked is good for 2 people and it also has an attached bathroom. The room was spotless and clean; - You will be provided with clean towels - The air conditioner/heater and water heater worked perfectly well - The bed is cozy to sleep in :) - Each area of the house is painted and every detail is well thought of - There’s also a study corner if you need to work - There is strong WiFi connection The hosts were very helpful and are quick to attend to queries. You can also order breakfast 1 day in advance and your host will prepare them for you in the morning. Can’t wait to come back and stay in the property longer :)

A wonderful hotel where every detail is imbued with care for the guest. Everything is very clean and tidy! There is a kitchen downstairs that provides free tea and coffee and where you can have breakfast. The design of the rooms is incredibly beautiful and thoughtful. You feel like in a fairy tale. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had excellent hot water pressure. The location is very convenient, 15 minutes walk to the ferry station, 10 minutes walk to the Moda area where the best cafes and bars are located. We wholeheartedly recommend this place! PS: be sure to try the sweets at the reception, very tasty.

Hygge place in Istambul Super friendly hosts! Be sure to ask the owners about the history of this house. Convenient location close to metro and ferry. Ask the owners and they will tell you where you can where you can have a delicious breakfast. It is cozy and pleasant here, a great place to stay in Istanbul.

How to get there: 5-10 mins walk (uphill ) away from the kadikoy ferry port, Havas and Havaist airport shuttle service and bus station. Room: Rooms were supppppperrrrr clean and freshly painted. We booked the one with the bunk bed. Toilet was clean and everything was well maintained. Exactly as shown in the pictures. Host and the house: The hosts are very friendly and always willing to help. There are 2 common rooms that everyone can use 1. Library on the ground floor and 2. TV room on the top floor. The kitchen is well equipped and also has a supply for filtered water so you don't need to buy drinking water from outside. Other amenities include a washing machine, a place to dry clothes, iron, hair dryer. Neighborhood: The area is safe and you can go for a walk at night. There are plenty of places to eat and shop. The house also has a list of best restaurants curated by the visitors that is very helpful.

This is an amazing place with a truly warm homely atmosphere. The rooms have everything you need during your stay, in the shared kitchen you can make coffee and tea. We also had pleasant communication with the owners of the accommodation. Thank you Emre and Tugba!

Tilas n•8 is a lovely house well located and managed by an amazing family. I felt home straight away and received great tips from our host. I'd consider staying again but this time I'll have to pack some ear plugs... The price to pay for staying in the vibrating Kadikoy ;)

Beautiful renovated cute little hotel in the hurt of Kadikoy. Emre and his wife made our trip so much better: from being flexible with check in/out times, giving recommendations around, narrating the interesting history of Istanbul and the neighborhood, and just being very thoughtful about everything. Highly recommended, will definitely come again!

Wow, I really loved my stay here. I was travelling on my own for the first time and I wanted somewhere with a friendly, comfortable vibe and in a quietish area. I chose really well! I even found myself calling it home 😆 the owners are really lovely and we had some great chats too. I definitely recommend staying here and would come back again. Everything worked really well for me here. The room was clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed.

Everything was just perfect. The house has an amazing location - only a few minutes away from the ferry and the sea. The hosts, Emre and his wife, are super friendly and very welcoming. Got a WhatsApp Message every morning that the coffee is brewed and the turkish tea is ready 🫶🏻 Rooms have a pretty good size - as someone who was traveling alone with 2 suitcases and a backpack I had still a lot of space in my room. And it’s only like a 10 minutes walk from the “Kadıköy Boğa” which is somehow the center to everywhere. I actually always stayed in the European part of Istanbul, but the last time I wanted to explore the Asian Side a bit more that’s why i chose Tilas. Stayed there in November 22 and already planning my next trip! Recommending this place to everyone who just wants to feel home.

I’ve enjoyed my stay here very much. I don’t think I would have found a place in Kadıköy, that would have made me feel more home than this little gem. Having said that, a prominent security camera in a tiny common space (which nobody else really uses other than the few people in the top floor) that is recording our every move, does chip away a little of that feeling. The need to want to record everything in the guise of security, I will never understand. But hey, that’s me. Apart from that, highly recommendable!

You feel like home in this location. The rooms look great (we had the pink room) which is absolutely fantastic. The host is very nice and helpful and more then this, when we came he made the tour of the house and told us the house's story and a little bit about the area.

Tugba and Emre are the most friendly and adorable hosts you will find. They make you feel home as soon as you arrive in their beautiful house. For anyone looking to stay in Kadikoy (which is an excellent option when visiting Istanbul), Tilas House is definitely the place to book. We stayed here for the weekend and loved it! Amazing location, on a quiet street yet a block away from lots of lovely cafe's and a few blocks away from restaurants and nightlife. Adorable building with hand-painted murals and an accommodating host. Highly recommend staying on the Asian side and travelling on the ferry to sightsee on the European side.

Thanks to Emre, for help in difficult times 💙💛 I lived in a room under a roof. This room was bright and very cozy. I felt at home. All the necessary equipment is new and very convenient. We had a great stay at Tilas house! Freshly renovated, clean and homey with several shared space areas including the kitchen. The owner was very attentive and helpful. The house is close to the ferry (8-10min walk) and only one block away from the best street in Kadikoy, with many chilled coffee places.

They are the kindest Turkish people we've met. We stayed in Tila's house for 1 month. We are 4 members family group and we were looking for renting a big house. We need 3 rooms and preferably private bathroom for each room. Tila's house is the only one that meets this condition with reasonable price. We liked that the house is 150 years old historic building but bathroom and kitchen, lobby is renovated so it is modern and very clean. For me sanitary is very important, Emre & Tugba really manages the house well and I we all felt comfortable. Their kitchen has every utensils & dishes, no problem for a big group of family. The location is very good, you can walk to the Kadikoy ferry pier or kadikoy city center, or dolmus (mini bus?) street. There are big grocery stores near house, and nice cafes & restaurants, but not noisy because those are located at least 2 or 3 blocks away. Emre & Tugba speaks English fluently and we could communicate with them without problem & promptly. We enjoyed one month in Tila's so much. You'll not regret if you stay here. We'll definitely back. Tilas House is a hostel created with love, from the moment you are greeted by the owners to the moment you bid farewell. They pay attention to every detail and have done a great deal of effort to create a unique vibe inside each room. Location-wise, it‘s in the so-called Asian part of Istanbul, and is very close to the metro Kadikoy, from where you can take a transport to switch to the European part. But even if you stay around the area, you‘ll be surrounded by unique cafés and young chatty locals. If I end up in Istanbul, I‘ll definitely consider this hostel again.

The house itself is newly renovated with an interesting interior design with some nice antique elements around.
