The Jack Daniel steak is a signature meal not to be overlooked. Tender and flavourful and rich! An elegant and well-run steakhouse hiding in plain sight. Talindo’s is known for their Steaks. I hadn’t been here in maybe 10 years so my recollection on the experience was positive but vague. I had the Jack Daniel’s Steak which I hear is a Signature dish and.. sadly, I was thoroughly underwhelmed.. a real disappointment.. perhaps because I make possibly the best steaks in Lagos and my standards are exceptionally high or because cold unseasoned steaks are not my thing. However, everything else was of pleasurable quality. One more sad thing, the bread was not fresh. Will return, hopefully before the next decade.

I loved Talindo! The food is great, tastes good, and was superb! The space is pretty basic, nothing flashy, just there basically. The staff were nice and helpful. Had a bottle of wine for about 11k, the pasta was 6500( I think!), my steak was 26k and the baked potatoes was 2500 or 3000. The food was really really nice, no complaints there. There was a group having dinner there when I went and they were really. Really loud, that’s the only thing I can complain about tbh. There’s some parking space and it’s not a difficult place to find, even though they don’t have any sign outside. All in all, I’ll be recommend the spot.

Truly Unfortunate All Around. I thought the many positive reviews here would hold up. They didn't. Arriving around 6 pm on a Friday, we ordered a bottle of wine, coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped chicken, 350 g sirloin medium with baked potato and side of french fries. Very clearly stated to all come at the same time. Problem started with the wine. Didn't have the desired bottle so I asked what do they have in stock? Instead I got the attempted up-sell to the more expensive bottles and no reply to what they have in stock. So a bottle of the house red then. Shrimp & chicken come. I ask about the steak -- it's coming, is the reply. 30 minutes later, after several inquires, it does arrive. Half of the steak is edible. The other half tough as leather. You can see the hard streaks of fat & sinew in the photos. Instead of a nice baked potato, there were three small excuses for a baked potato. Service was fine -- but who was in charge? The waiter took the order. A maitre d' who seemed to think that we didn't want everything brought all together? They clearly served us as they wanted to and not how we requested. Prices are Lagos high/normal. Atmosphere is pleasant, clean. Perhaps my experience was a one-off but it certainly was not the nice evening I had planned.

I’ll rate the a 5/5 actually. Firstly it’s the fact that it’s so private, you could basically miss it if you don’t have the address. The plaque which has the name outside is so small you could almost miss it. The outside is really basic , you wouldn’t even know there’s anything there but on entering , you’ll be amazed. I really liked the fact that it was small, limited spaces so you have to book prior. I liked the fact that you could reserve via the website and it actually counts. I mean you even get an initial email and then a confirmation email after a call. Reminds me of an ideal 5-star service. The manager as well comes around to ask for reviews and to check up, I really found that thoughtful, however simple but really goes a long way. My cocktail didn’t have enough alcohol in it (I’m guessing cuz I’m a lady), I requested for more alcohol and I was given without some flimsy excuse. The meal although averagely high was quite filling. Oh you also get complimentary bread which if you request for extra cost 100 bucks 😅😃😃. Liked the privacy really. Was top notch. Spent a total of 33k I think. Oh yeah, good lighting as well for pictures 😉.

I came here from America and I came based on reviews from places near my hotel. Well, I didn't feel very welcomed when entering by our waiter. He was very rude and grumpy older gentlemen who tried to discourage the people I was with to order only Nigerian type dishes when they wanted to try something different. Then I ordered a steak medium rare and it was completely rare. Never asked how the food was after bringing it and was quite rude to the people I was with. Then stood there the entire time staring at us. Another waiter came to assist the people I was with on some of the food. I wish the bald younger guy was our waiter instead! Never got offered dessert and when got the bill it said we had bread and we were never given or offered bread either. Definitely wouldn't return. Only thing about my food I liked was the potatoes! Disappointed for the price. Steak wasn't good quality either. Prices were also different than advertised online.

The Penne vodka pasta at Talindo is the best I’ve eaten in Lagos. I always have it without the vodka and it tastes amazing, they have great service too. Their desserts taste great too, I always enjoy eating there!

My first time in a Steak House. Courteous staff. Great food. Pricey as might be expected. Con: It was quite noisy when I was there, (a group of people had a meeting of sorts), making it hard to have meaningful conversation. Tip: If you're going as a duo, you can order and share one starter pending the arrival of the main course. You should make a reservation before going. You can also tip the staff if you're impressed by their service. They'd appreciate it.

Talindos rating attracted me but the service was below expectation.... serviette instead of napkin for the class of restaurant was inappropriate, I ordered five meals to draw a conclusion and they lost a star... If you want a great steak ask for the T-Bone and make sure they don't add anything to it, the surf&turf was ruined by the sauce... the calamari was wrong. I asked for more bread and the waiter said he had already given me some, no-no, someone forget to tell the waiter, you don't cross over a plate .... They eventually brought more bread upon insistence and charged N800. 00, how cheap is that? the bread was good but they were miserly with the garlic butter... In all, three stars is fair

Nice ambience. It's a bit difficult to spot as the gate as there's no signage. The service is really great. The manager was very nice amd they ensured we were happy with their service. Food was also good. Small but decent space. I recommend and will definitely visit again soon

Friendly staff, reasonably priced meals. I had Nigerian jollof rice ,Suya and their special cocktail. Cocktail was great but the jollof rice tasted very different from jollof rice and I couldn’t eat it, aside that there is a great traditional aesthetic decor you would love.

I enjoyed the ambiance and the staff here are attentive. Every dish served was well presented and tasty. I would love to visit again.

Talindo Steakhouse If you’re looking for an intimate restaurant with fine dining, Talindo is good for it. However, You need to make a reservation. It’s not a large restaurant, so sitting is limited. Order: For starters, I had the Sweet and Spicy chicken wings. (Came in a sweet tomato sauce and tbh, I didn’t mind it.) - N3,500 Main - I had the Penne Vodka pasta that I cannot fault. - N4,500 Cocktail - I had the Forest Berry Mojito - N4,000 While I waited for my meal, I was served a basket of complimentary bread with butter. My meals came just at the right time. Drinks took only a couple of minutes. The manager (I forget his name at this moment), a pleasant man, kept checking on me at every meal. I went there to have a personal time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10 will recommend and I’d sure return.

I had the juiciest steak at Talindo, it was made with so much attention to detail. The space is not very big and cozy. We had free bread rolls with butter and it was so fresh.

This was an amazing place. Food was 100% and the staff was courteous (even changed my mom's drink to her specifications). The flaming steak is definitely a must have and the mushroom starter certainly impressed me as I'm generally not a big mushroom fan. What I did not like: no charging spots close to seats. Pro tip: You can have them put your meal in a big plate while you serve yourselves if you're looking to share.

This bowl of amala from @nokalara lives rent free in my head. 😩😍 ___________________________________________ ORDER * Goat roll - 4,500 * Abula with assorted meat- 5,500 * Oxtail hotpot with jasmine rice - 6,000 ___________________________________________ I’ve had amala and none comes close to this. What? It beats every spot I’ve had abula at. I’d say it’s the attention to details for me. The ewedu & gbegiri’s texture wasn’t watery, both had a thick consistency which was great for the watery red stew because it loosened up their consistency. In regards to the flavors of the stew & soup? Unmatched. Seasoned to perfection. NO ingredient overwhelmed the other. I also want to commend the chili content, it was at such a perfect balance, I knew it was there but it wasn’t overwhelming. The texture of the assorted meat - very tender, one chew & it literally melts in your mouth - Absolute bliss. ___________________________________________ GOAT ROLL. This was the starter. The roll itself was great. This was crispy on the out & tender on the inside, filled with ‘minced’ goat meat. Now the sauce it came with, was hot! spicy hot. Against the goat roll? 👌🏾 I only wished the flour layer wasn’t as thick as what was presented. ___________________________________________ OXTAIL HOTPOT WITH JASMINE RICE. Oxtail is just a boujee name for cow tail 😂. It was cooked in just chilli sauce which I was very much aware of upon ordering. I’d say there really could have been a balance against other ingredients aside from being really spicy because the flavors, seasoning this had was really shy in this sauce. Asides from the oxtail having more bones than meat, the meat was tender. I’d also say no matter how Yoruba you may be, you CANNOT finish this sauce, it’s really that spicy. ___________________________________________ I’d say their service was top notch, the waiter had clear knowledge of everything on the menu & was able to make suggestions. The cocktails were really good.

It has an African vibe to it that you don't see everywhere. I only had drinks because the kitchen was closed when we got there but it was a dream. The design of the building is so aesthetically pleasing and it was just amazing being there.

Review of my post below: I had received the 10k Naira refund unannounced this afternoon. I am grateful that the issue has been resolved albeit without communication from Nok by Alara. I have amended my rating as well to reflect the true standard of food and service received. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN I had dinner at Nok on 06 October 2020. The food was good and the service good. The waiter sadly gave himself a 10k Naira tip. I brought this to the attention of the restaurant manager which promised to refund the 10k. In total the waiter received 13500 Naira on a 35k bill. The manager promised to refund after 2 weeks once the accountant has confirmed the payment. I sent a message on 21 October 2020 with my banking details. By 01/12/2020 I am still waiting for my refund. For the lack of customer service and refund I have to award less stars.

La Taverna’s food is consistently delicious. It’s fine dining so dress accordingly. I would recommend their T-Bone steak. My brother used to rave about it and we went together 4 years ago. It was oh so delicious!!! Last week, it was my friend’s birthday and we went there. You can guess that I ordered the T-Bone again. Price was much higher than the last time (but na Nigeria we dey) but food was great as usual. Also had a glass of the house red wine….that was awesome (forgot to ask the name of the wine butt to not was really good). My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Ambience was great and quiet…although we did make a bit of noise (apologies to the other diners on that day. Lol). Overall, it was a great experience and well worth it.

This steakhouse is a nice addition to Lagos. Everything was cooked well and well seasoned. I was not particularly fond of the staff. They stand and watch you as you try to enjoy your meal and I could hear them making comments which was very annoying. It's unfortunate based on how much you pay to eat here. That shouldn't have been my experience for my special night here. The food was good though and that is what matters the most.

We held a dear friend's baby shower here and it was lovely. The staff are polite, very knowledgeable about the menu, are friendly and helpful. The manager was superb. The meals tasted really fesh and nice, the drinks were great and the environment was cozy. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Oh, a wonderful dinner we had there, my wife and I. There are these wonderful guys that attended to us. No delay and we enjoyed the meals. At first we missed the location bc we used google maps for directions and even going in through the gate wouldn't inform how lovely the inside is. But getting inside beat our imagination. We took it as a couple's dinner night. Another lovely event was the wonderful CEO that accompanied us both out of the building.

Outside of the restaurant is not too nice. Inside is neat. Food is average. The Jack Daniels steak is drowned in a kind of tomato sauce with bacon. Prawn soup is nice though.
