住宅街にある神社で、近くに10台ほど停めれる駐車場も有ります。錦帯橋を訪れてから白蛇で有名だと言われているので、訪ねてみました。 境内は綺麗に手入れされていて、石が敷き詰めてありとても綺麗です。神社の隣の建物に白蛇が何匹も飼育されていました。丁度、気温も上り温かくかったからかは分かりませんが元気よく動いていました。隣には今津天満宮もあり、社務所で二社の御朱印を頂きました。ありがとうございました。

岩国駅～天神町回りの市営バスで 約15分位の場所で社殿まで ゆっくり歩いても7～8分程で 案内板も有ります。 住宅地内の少し高台に社殿があります。 山口県岩国市地域にしか、生息しないと言われている 珍しい白蛇を見ることができる小さな館内があり、拝観料もお気持ち程度の 100円でした。 社殿敷地内にある、大樹の横には 上皇陛下の町の平和を祈る詩もあり 神社ですので もちろんお守り、絵馬、おみくじ 御朱印…等々あります。 訪れた日はGW中でしたが、観光客も少なくて、静かな一時を堪能できました。
