This gallery definitely has potential. With a good art curatorship, it might become much more appealing. Unfortunately, for now bad lighting ruins viewers’ impression of paintings.

There is an art and photo gallery of “Ara Guler” who is super famous turkish photographer in the world! You can visit until June 2020 and there is no charging! You can also take audio supporting, just ask to help desk at the entrance of the building when you pass the security. Building is not really good for following to steps of gallery. That was the problem for walking with huge crowded at the weekend. But maybe you can prefer to go in weekdays. Tuesday is open until 8pm.

I like that the museum only has two floors so it’s not too overwhelming. You can see everything in two hours. The building is beautiful and I liked the selection and mix of artwork displayed. It was interesting to see art works from ottoman era.

Wow. I actually liked it. The light configuration is amazing. You actually feel the art. The paintings are really well located. There are lots of rooms for almost every artist or a place dedicated to their art. You can write down in the memorial notebook in the entrance and it gives you a satisfying experience for art. I think it is a nice place that everyone should visit. The life we live goes without we know about it. But art endures.

Small and cute art gallery, however the security guys closing the doors before the close time. If you want to have a nice art tour in the center you must arrange your time to be out at 5.30 pm. They are starting to warn you at 5.30 and make all visitors to be out at 5.45 pm. Crazy 🤪

Not a huge place but big enough to host an impressive exhibition. Free entry, safe boxes to put your stuff in the entrance and a nice staff too.

I was disappointed from the exposition I saw there. Abstract art - not such a fen. Maybe some other time will have better luck for something i will enjoy

A very interesting place, with parquet floors and wooden stairs that permeate the air of the museum with a pleasant smell. As a person who came from St Petersburg, I really missed this. The exhibitions do not change often, 3-4 times a year, and some are very specific, but the place is very pleasant and there is a free entry.

Arkas Sanat Merkezi is an art gallery opened in November 2011 and owned by the industrialist Lucien Arkas. Several exhibitions have been held in this gallery since then. The present collection of works by Pablo Picasso is worth visiting, unfortunately until January 5 2020.

It has all the contemporary art it advertises to offer however I'm dissapointed you're not allowed to enter the room having French art. It's free of charge to enter and toilets with lockers at the entrance.

👍 One of the most important touristic sites of izmir. There's no need to buy a ticket as this monument is part of an urban space. The plaza is so lively even at midnight. Also, there are various restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also, the ancient bazar is close by.
