I had only one day trip to Izmir and chose to be here. And I DON'T regret at all! -Price, everytging was cheap. -Almost all categories products are available. Food, wood works, clothing, watch, electornics, good fresh orange juice, real kebab, fish etc. -Perfect for the turkish souvenior more than just tourisic items but real Turkish one. -Huge place. -Many people -Sellers are very friendly sometimes too much. My time here was only about day-time experience due to limited time being in the city. I might have been able to see more in the night. Enjoy!

Good market, lots of choice to be fair. Some salesmen are very agresive and rude, but they are everywhere as i know from my experience while traveling around. Good experience, something different from your regular shoping in Europe. You will have to bargain with seller for a good price as they allways tells you big prices from the start. I do recommend visiting this place while in Izmir and enjoy this experience.

If you want to get the true Middle eastern bazaar experience, this is the place to go. Offers really nice shops where you have to bargain, you can get almost anything here from everyday items to clothes and shoes to souvenirs. Really good restaurants here too that offer a nice sit in.

Name anything you are looking for and you will definitely find it in this Market. From clothes, food, bridal stores, antique, etc. Just be prepared to bargain do not pay the price they tell you it is usually double when you are a tourist and avoid going on weekends because it gets very crowded.

It was busy location. They’ll know from your face that you’re foreigners. Do not talk with random people they’ll tell you visit with them to the shop and then give high prices. Stay in main bazaar. You’ll get many stuff to eat many shops for knock off clothes. If you know how to haggle the price then fine otherwise you’ll pay UK price to them never agree with them on the price they tell at first. They’ll try to charge you more than the worth of item.

Kemeralti market is a combination of streets full of shops selling various items, restaurants/cafés, kiosks, stalls for fresh juices and Simit(pretzels) etc. There are several historic Ottoman mmosques and a Han(historic inn now a covered market) in Kemeralti market area.

It is very old shopping center in Izmir. You can find many shops for food, clothing, gold, and restaurants. It is located downtown called Konak. Most buildings are old and some are historical. Prices are reasonable and inexpensive. Some restaurants serve very delicious meals. There are also some banks you can exchange currencies.

Must visit . The beating heart of Izmir . You can find all you wish for there ( great local shops small or big , some extremely nice and welcoming merchants , food , clothing , natural soap , spices etc... list is almost endless ) . Best of all is the atmosphere 👌.

A hustle and bustle kind of place where you wind around lots of unmade rounds as people follow you to get you to go to their shops. Hard to know if you’re paying over the odds or not but if you walk away happy that’s all that matters. Pick a landmark on your way in and as you walk around so that you don’t get lost is my tip!

Absolute chaos > exactly what I expected from an old traditional Bazaar, haggle for bargans, sit and enjoy a coffee, have something to eat and walk away with more shopping than a small army can carry! Highly recommended even just for an experience!

This bazaar was a huge disapointment. There are absolutely no good offers for women, just jewellery and bridedresses.. The whole Market is designed for men!

Kemeraltı Çarşısı is an exciting and a lively marketplace (a bazaar so to speak), with many entrances and exits in the Konak districts. It spreads out like corridors covered with fabric to create shade over the walkways and give a cooling feeling. Some of the entrances are near Çankaya Metro Station. There are lots of traditional Turkish cafes and restaurants. It offers cheap products and is a well-attended bazaar. It can be difficult to find high quality products, but the prices are very cheap. This is one of must see places in Izmir.

Authentic and well-known brands did not have cheaper prices. Therefore, we preferred to go to beautiful restaurants only in Kemeralti. I didn't buy anything. Because everything was expensive like in the city.

Kemeralti bazaar is one the most popular place to visiting in Izmir, for historical visit and also to buy some traditional Turkish objects and spices. Is in the old part of the city, very closed to ancient ruins. It’s nice to walk on those small streets full of shops and people, stop to a “cafeteria” or a small restaurant to drink, eat and rest.

This is a must see bazaar/shopping district in Izmir. You can find inexpensive clothing, accessories, home goods, and quite a number of unique stores and gift shops. Not to mention all kinds of delicious food vendors and coffee shops. Just to stroll through the area is an experience by itself.

One of my favorite places in konak, İzmir. Whenever i enter there l got lost, finding myself in a new part of this pazar, or a new street which is beautiful as the other parts as well. You can find there every thing you are looking for, from fruits, pets, clothes, gifts ... Whatever goes to your mind.

Turkey certainly knows how to have great markets/bazaars. Even those, like this one, with fresh food. A delight to walk round and inspect the wares without the constant pressure from store owners. But why do they think customers will come through the door when they stand in the entrance smoking????? Good prices too!

  • 5/5 Sam F. 4 years ago on Google
This is awesome I can walk in this beautiful market and enjoy every single corner of it . Taking photos nice coffee nice food and buying fresh food and souvenirs . It’s start from 9am every day so you have time to find a nice traditional breakfast there and later lunch . Try Turkish coffee and Turkish delights. Try to find historical sites and find someone for a quick chat and enjoy their hospitality.

I really like Turkish bazars, you can buy here everything and is cheap and you can find some quality stuff. One salesmas here told me that bazars has about 15000 shops. Piece of traditional Turkey.

Busy and some things can be overpriced so it's worth shopping around but definitely the best place to go shopping with the widest range. Anything from pet supplies to wedding dresses, from spices to jewellery. If there's something you can't find, it'll most likely be in Kemeraltı. Worth the visit if you're in İzmir, for sure.

Winding streets and varied shops. Lots of options and prices are affordable. It can get quite crowded depending on the time of day. It is also very close to the park and to the beach. The sounds are interesting as well as you can sometimes hear the chants coming from the religious buildings. This is a must see if you are in Izmir.

👍 One of the most important touristic sites of izmir. There's no need to buy a ticket as this monument is part of an urban space. The plaza is so lively even at midnight. Also, there are various restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also, the ancient bazar is close by.
