The Secret Garden Cafe is located on Beach Blvd. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. I got the fried green tomatoes, the tomatoes were over fried, also the batter was rather thick. I did enjoy both dipping sauces. The biscuit and gravy was my absolute favorite. I just wish it would have came out hot. The kids menu had a nice selection and my daughter enjoyed the waffles with bacon. The cinnamon butter was savory. I love that they have honey as an option for the waffles and pancakes. I will definitely be back because the menu has a lot of interesting entrees that I want to try.

I met an old friend here for brunch and fell in love with this hidden gem. It's cozy and perfect considering it's in a shopping center off the main strip. I ordered the Secret Garden Bene which is eggs Benedict on English muffins with bacon and fried green tomatoes! It sounds as good as it tasted too. Rich and creamy sauce with a tangy tomato bite. Plus the bacon brought it to another level all together. I'm in town on vacation and wish we had a Secret Gadrden where I'm from. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Jacksonville.

I didn't have very much just a vegetable omelette no sides and water. It was okay. The main thing is I was there with some work friends and just enjoying a quick brunch. The atmosphere was casual. The restaurant is very small. The waitress was very friendly. She make sure we had everything we needed make sure to bring refills and made it overall very pleasant visit.

Serving cold food on a dirty plate is just about the worst experience a patron can have. Well... I’m sure there are worst, but after waiting more than 1/2 hour for cold eggs (you can see the cheese is not melted) cold bacon and half a waffle, that’s really bad. To be fair this is my second time eating here and the first experience was pleasant. Which is why I came back again with a friend hoping to add this to our brunch restaurant rotation. High unlikely!!!! It’s going to take a lot of convincing to get me to go here again.

My husband and I wanted to do Easter brunch, so we decided to give this gem of a place a try. We definitely made the right choice! The service was fantastic. Our server Yury was extremely friendly and polite. Now, let's talk about the food. Before you this earth, you MUST their caramel peacan waffles! 🧇 😋 They are the little squares of heaven. The balance between the cinnamon butter and caramel sauce is pure perfection! You will not need syrup, just a nap from eating all of that deliciousness.... Heading back to brunch this Sunday!🥂

I hate giving bad reviews but this food was bad. The "Belgium waffles" taste like toasted bread. The classic eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was sour. I dont know how they managed to do that. The fried green tomatoes were OK. if you just eat breakfast on the go and dont taste your food it's fine, but if you are going to breakfast to ENJOY your food this isnt the place.

YURI WAS AWESOME. Great service and atmosphere, quick food time, great grits! Their flavored waffles and pancakes are soooo good. If you're looking for a good and cheap breakfast spot this is it. $6 mimosas :0 Loved it, will be back.

Comfy?Laid back and a serene enviroment. I had the caramel Pecan Belgian waffle with sweet potato tats. Sweet potato tats were crispy fresh with a subtle sweetness. Pecans were fresh and rich onto of the fluffy waffle. Pancake was ok nothing to rave about. Mimosa were strong had pineapple and cranberry.

This is one of our constant favorites! The staff is just great, and we can tell there is a dedication there because some of the wait staff have been there a long time! The food is consistently good as well as affordable, and I can say that I've never had a bad experience there to date! It's definitely worth the visit!

I have been coming here for years and it continues to be my absolute favorite breakfast spot. It’s delicious and the grits and the fried green tomatoes are out of this world! Yummy!

Good food. Very kind waitress. If I may offer a suggestion...try the strawberry French Toast and the Secret Garden Egg Benedict. Put the biscuit on the side. And the Green Tomatoes have the right amount of crunch and crisp. Not mushy at all.

Great food, everything we ordered was very flavorful, the service is great, you are greeted once you walk through the door. Our server Alex was just great, all her recommendations were excellent. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and we are definitely coming back.

The food is always good, although I tend to always have the same thing- the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. They puree fresh strawberries, as well as putting fresh strawberries on top. It. Is. Divine. My nephew had the Belgian waffles with the same treatment, and gobbled it down before I could ask how it was. :) My mother, or anyone else I bring in, is always pleased with their meal. The problem with everyone living the food? I can't get a decent picture before they dig in! The service is almost always fabulous and attentive but not intrusive. Oh, and the coffee is really, really good. I'm a tad of a snot about coffee. It's really good. The atmosphere is fine. On a busy morning it can be a bit loud. It isn't enough to deter me from going in, however. It's our favorite breakfast spot these days!

Absolute gem. We were visiting JAX and were looking for mom and pop restaurant. The server was extremely attentive. I ordered an omelette and an egg bowl, and both were fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend.

Wonderful experience ! Such a cozy clean diner makes you feel right at home, especially the friendly service from Eli! She was attentive , anticipated my needs, kind, and knowledgeable of the menu. Superior service. The food was phenomenal the fries were cooked to perfection crispy non the outside and just right in the center. The Philly cheesesteak had really fresh veggies and the cheese was melted all the way through the steak making each bite delicious.. not sure what type of hoagie but it was toasted and delicious ! 10/10 will definitely be back !

This was a big time letdown. I’m not a stickler normally, but we got put in a corner where 4 lightbulbs were out and the table we sat at was dirty still. The food wasn’t anything special and didn’t have any taste. We found this restaurant from the TV show Restaurant Impossible and I know that if Robert knew that this is what his investment has turned into he would be very sad.

It's no secret if you've been there before. The management and staff have such professional work ethics. Customer service and food is beyond expectations. I recommend "you" visit the restaurant and receive the same treatment they provided me and my family. Thank you "Secret Garden."

What a great little odd place! Odd because of the small town Cafe vibe- but in a strip mall in Jax. I you're wanting that home-cooked wholesome kind of breakfast/lunch, skip the chain restaurants and go see these lovely peeps. Collectors / supporters of local business / last minute shoppers can a grab a cute Secret Garden coffee mug for just $5.

Cheese grits so creamy and needed nothing and I ALWAYS HAVE TO TWEAK MY GRITS! Pancakes are huge, Angela was a pleasant and attentive server. Really busy when we came, but no long wait at all. Must try for brunch!

Very relaxing café. Serving breakfast and lunch when I was there, 1:30 PM on a Saturday. Great customer service, food was excellent. Husband had corned beef hash and was very impressed. I had fried green tomatoes and they were also very good. Price is a little high for food portions, but costs are up everywhere.

Amazing food and service. The best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Fried green tomatoes with a red onion marmalade. To die for!

We had the Turkey apple sandwich with sweet potato tater tots and the caramel pecan French toast. Gotta say kudos to the chef and their secret home-made honey mustard sauce, it was delicious! I usually don't care for mustard base sauces but that was an exception. Also their French toast was not overly sweet, just the right amount and the bread used was so soft and delicious...another secret 😉 It is a nice spot to have brunch and the prices and food are excellent! Server was nice too! P.s The sandwich was delicious too, especially with the honey mustard!
