Food is okay - we order samosa chaat which looked like more of channa masla dumped on small samosa pieces. Chicken tika kabob was reheated which too bad because it had good taste but 3 out of 6 both were burned with reheat. Chicken karahi hardly had boti it was more thai meat fat. Lamb karahi was good but too oily. Lastly they got my drink and then we had ordered two naans to go and they forgot that as well. I liked that the owner was also serving I think his name was Parkesh (sorry for wrong spell). They had a couple of people who were in training. Overall it was a okay experience and we will go back to try something different and hopefully it will be a better experience. It’s a nice restaurant for family. Respond to the restaurant ** both kadai chicken and kadai lamb are ON YOUR MENU (my spellings were off but it’s there and you do serve it . Also, I know what I ate and where we ate even the white design table paper is from your restaurant. With that you just lost business from us.

For a vegetarian, Panner Biryani is the best option. Little pricier than near by restaurants serving similar options but tastes better. Fried rice wasn’t as per expectations. Vegetarian and egg biryanis are ok. Only problem is with consistency, not sure on the reason but taste varies every time we get same order from her which keeps us guessing. Not the best of biryanis we had in other US cities with smaller crowds than here but ok in the area. Reception and service are good, at times had to wait for pick up even after 20 minutes(assuming this has to do with shortage of employees at times). Edit: Being a vegetable Biryani lover, we usually order Panner Biryani a lot which is now consistently good. Veg curries(Navaratan Kurma) was ok with lil more cream. Those who don’t like things spicy might like these!

I dined in this restaurant Thursday evening after a recommendation from my next-door neighbor. I ordered vegetable Samosa, garlic naan, Goat tiki masala, and the mixed kebabs. The food was so amazing! Everybody was so nice. The wait staff checked on me regularly. The owner came around to see how my meal was and when he heard it was my first time he went in the back and prepared some chicken biryani for me. Everything I ate was delicious. The portion size was more than enough. This was an amazing experience for me. I will definitely be back real soon.

Everything was amazing! The masala dishes are delightful. And the chili garlic naan bread - there are no words for how delicious it is! The entire staff is very kind. Come here if you want authentic, perfectly prepared cuisine.

The food is really good and cheap. I tried hydrabadi goat Biriyani and it was sufficient for two people. Also, masala chai and gajor halua was great.

Maa's is quickly becoming one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Jacksonville. Very friendly staff and delicious food. So far, I loved everything I've eaten here.

It's very filling and tastes good. The mango lassie is so yummy. Got it delivered but can't say much about the dine in experience. The butter chicken is very rich. Good for dipping roti or nan. You'll get full even if you split it with a friend. Ordered from here before and I will be ordering again in the future.

Awesome experience to be here for the first time. Food was good and good quantity as well Biriyani is not so great but dal and Bhindi fry is awesome. Average on the ambiance not so fancy but for a family dinner for Indian group it will be good

Stop right now. Eat here. The menu is extensive covering many types of diets and appetites. The portions are quite large for most* dishes so come hungry. Their spice levels are a force to be reckoned with, but overall, the food is to die for. After going multiple times and ordering different things each time, I have to say that it has been a total hit to my tastebuds every time I go. I find myself very pleasantly filled with delicious enjoyable food with a great atmosphere and equally great service. Always keeping your water full and seeing that the customer gets the best experience. You can tell there's a lot of effort put into this place, especially at keeping it clean. Do yourself the favor and go treat out at Maa Kitchen.

This was my first time visiting this place, and the food was great. I don't have any other Indian restaurant to compare it to because this was my first experience with Indian food. It was spicy with a lot of flavor, and I will definitely be back to try some different dishes. The customer service could be a tad better; that is why they didn't get 5 stars.

Very busy when we went in but coming from a girl that has had indian food in many countries and states if you can and if you are a fan. Find your way to Maa Kitchen. I always get paper masala dosa when on menus and this is the best dosa I have had the coconut chutney that came with it was a bit of miss for me but everything else 5 stars. The lamb biryani was spicy considering we ordered it as a 1 on the spice scale. However, 100% authentic and delicious Indian food.

Our son visited here and recommended we try it. Food was good. As an appetizer we had paneer pakira. For dinner my wife had the chicken maharani and garlic naan. I had the Hyderabadi Dum ka Murg with naan. Good portions and very tasty.

Was very happy to find this place open on a Monday for lunch but was truly disappointed in the quality and taste of most things we ordered: The good: Samosas were ok.. not a lot of flavor but plenty of spice. The tamarind sauce was pleasantly flavored and not overly sweet. The garlic naan was ok.. just that The very very good: Paneer Tikka Kabob-Tandoori … served on a bed of grilled onions and peppers this dish was absolutely fantastic. The not so good: The butter chicken honestly tasted like tomato soup from a can. The rice was also over cooked. The service was difficult.. a bit of a language issue but nice gentlemen who genuinely was trying I think. The dirty plate, the lack of knives and well the overall ambiance. Must mention the Greece table mats were quite funny.... Not my favorite but I might have to take the paneer dish to go and enjoy it at home too!

We ordered chicken lollipops, Apollo fish , mango lassi, cut mirchi , I am a South Indian and I need my food to be spicy. Chicken lollipops was saucy which I hate the most , even chicken is not fresh as of my assumption, Apollo fish is good .. it’s saucy too but tastes tender , mango lassi is good as well , Cut mirchi felt a bit dry but tastes good. So if you are a South Indian you might not like some dishes here ..

Ordered Vegetarian Manchurian and Vegetarian dum biryani. Both came on time and were delicious! We ordered spicy and met our expectations. Unfortunately no dosa was available when we went to eat.

Good food and friendly staff. Interior was clean and warm. The chai tea was smooth and had a nice flavor. The curries we're freshly made and had a good amount of spice. The lamb curry was aromatic and the meat was nice and tender. The paneer was creamy. The naan was fluffy and very tasty. The paneer naan is a must try. Nice a d rich flavor.

Great tasting Indian food. Tried South Indian specials biryanis and starters. They were good. Also tried the Chinese noodles, it was a bit of a let down as the noddles were very thick like udon Noodles.

Ordered Hyderabad dum biriyani to go. Never felt eating biriyani, full of food color and with foul smell. Had to throw them

  • 1/5 Rahul G. 8 months ago on Google
Used to be great. Now a days when we order biriyani, they just give chicken 65 tossed with white rice and give as biriyani without dum rice (exp: today). They miss egg in biriyani’s most of the time. They either give box full or around 1/2 box and call it full. My suggestion would be don’t take any more orders when you don’t have items to make full orders. We aren’t interested in your new recipes(which is bad & less quantity BDW). In my picture if you could see, it’s clearly chicken 65 appetizer with basmati rice on top with onion, lemon & coriander leaves(please call it chicken 65 rice instead of biriyani). That’s not the biriyani i usually get. Please don’t lose your worth by trying to make money. And please don’t reply with” thanks for your feedback “. This was Doordash order

The food is almost always tasty. The servers are nice and very happy to assist you. The problem is the decor and the general lack of upkeep. Many times the Indian waiters have body odor and it’s quite unpleasant. Don’t they use deodorant and wash their clothes? Some cologne will be nice. The decor is just sad too. Crooked pictures on the wall, food splatter on the walls, dirty and torn menu. Small changes can make a big impact.

This Indian restaurant was something I truly enjoyed. The food was absolutely flavourful. We ordered multiple dishes amongst the 4 of us and neither of the dishes failed to meet expectations. The ambience although nostalgic could definitely use upgrade but the food was delishious. You can choose various spice levels and that's good for certain people but the food that I ordered was something although on the spicier side (I chose level 4) it didn't over power the taste. The waitors were friendly and I was glad that they were willing to check up on us every so often with their wonderful smiles. Overall absolutely wonderful. Good service, good food, want to come back to check out other items on the menu. Truly felt like it was food from maa home. 😊 P.s level 3 spice is good for the avg human
