We went to Kim's Korean BBQ Restaurant at San Jose today. I requested more side dishes. The owner told us “No.” She said everything was more expensive but she would “allow” us to have 3 or she would have to charge us another $14! I told her we have 4 people and they should should give us more. Normally any other Korean restaurant would give you more side dishes even for just 2 people. So not only did they raise their prices but they also give you only 1 set of side dishes. Its just plain greed and bad business. The food is not up to par as it is and they are more expensive than other Korean restaurants. They should close!! We will never go to back there! The owner/manager was even arguing with the customers.

Was looking for some legit samgyeop and they had it! Added lettuce and Kimchi jigae. Lots of banchan, the Kimchi was plentiful. Very clean and orderly place. The son and mom are very welcoming. Looks like this will be my new go-to place for Korean food! Highly recommend!

Korean BBQ restraunt where the food tastes like an excellent home cooked meal! We ordered the bulgogi, yukgaejang spicy soup, Dol sot Bibimbap, calamari, and dumplings. Glad to have decent Korean BBQ. Beware the staff here are super nice, and honest when assisting with menu selection. I would highly recommend eating here if you want to try something different in Jax. A little on the pricey side; nevertheless, would still recommend.

First Korean BBQ experience, it was not too bad. Little expensive at first sight but I haven't been to other places to compare. There are a few selections to grill at the table but require 2 orders minimum to be able to grill at the table. Friend and I ordered the bulgogi entrée that comes with a ban chan (side dish spread). The ban chan was very underwhelming, the portions were entirely too little between 2 people. The marinated bulgogi was the best flavored part. The grilling at the table is a cool experience but probably won't do it again. Mandu (beef dumplings) were excellent. Flavors were all pretty good no complaints, but the service didn't seem consistent where we were being helped by 3 different servers and it seemed confusing.

This place was god awful. We didn’t even get food, just our drinks! My family and I had ordered 3 entrees to share, seems reasonable. We got the order in and then the owner comes to talk to us, saying we all had to buy an entree for ourselves and we couldn’t share or we would be charged $7.99. Legally, she can’t make us pay $7.99 for sharing, also it was $7.99 per person…it was a table of 12. No where on the menu did it state that if we were to share we would have to pay $7.99 per person, but the owner was persistent and kept saying we would have to. We got up and left, we only paid for our drinks. The service was horrible and I feel bad for the waitress who had to serve us, she would’ve got an amazing tip, but the owner had such a nasty attitude! Worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant! There was only two other people inside the restaurant and the places location doesn't bring attraction, any person would think that the owner would be grateful to have PAYING CUSTOMERS! Also, the prices for food are bad in general, save your time and money and go somewhere else!

Place seems kid friendly, many colored drawing were hung up. Came in for lunch and the dish we wanted to order was unavailable. Ended up ordering the Tangsuyuk and Dduk Mandi Guk. The Tangsuyuk was not palatable. The onions in the dish were still raw, the pineapple is canned, and the pork was very tough and chewy. The rice also came in a chipped bowl with a few sharp ends. Not safe or sanitary to eat from. The Dduk Mandu Guk was disappointing. The soup was flavorless and for $16 (more expensive than the Mandu appetizer option) there were only 3 small pieces of dumplings that did not taste like beef and did not resemble the picture at all. The dish was mostly water. The banchan was alright, but not enough to make up for the experience. The waiter never once came to ask how the food was or to refill our drinks. Sadly, it seems like the food and service has lost its Seoul.

We came back yesterday to this place, after last time just to give it a try one more time. We were put in this room with other table. We ordered the rice and vegetables and I believe it was called bulgogi in a stone pot. The young boy who waited was very patient despite my wife’s accent. Very understanding and was nice. The food was really good this time, and so was the service. Would recommend this place. It’s also believe it or not it is one of the best Korean restaurant I’ve been to around this area. We have tried the one in orange park, one by this Korean store. But this is by far the best place to come. Great service, good food, and was definitely clean.

Need some k-food? This place offers an authentic menu. My bulgogi order was large, hot, and came with 6 side dishes plus rice, served with a friendly smile. Parking and access was just fine, being in a shopping center. Decor is tasteful. Eat here then go home & watch your fav k-drama. You won't be disappointed.

I think it is the best one we got in our area Jacksonville and St Augustine right now. It's not buffet/all you can eat like Gen or Manna or other bigger korean restaurant . ... It's more like a family owned restaurant in the neighborhood. ... The food was delicious but the side dish/banchan was very little in amount, number and it's all vegetables. Lettuce has an extra charge too. The sauce was only sesame oil and salt. They dont have the typical soy sauce or black sauce. The service was good. Price is a bit on expensive side but since it's hard to find a good and delicious restaurant here. It's worth it. And also may be depending on your order. ... We love the beef and pork belly grilled. There grill was fantastic. Fast and easy to cook. ... The ambiance was good. They have two kind of tables one for if you want to grilled and the other one doesn't have a grill. ... The place and restroom was clean. ... We enjoyed our dinner. ...

My family has been coming here for several years now and we absolutely love it. Mr. And Mrs. Kim make us feel like we’re in their home sitting around the dinner table. The food is amazing, and the service is wonderful. They’re always extremely friendly, and she usually has an off menu flavor for us to sample during our visit. Today they shared some of their home cooked ribs as we walked in the door and though they aren’t on the menu, they should be!! Wow were they delicious. Mr. Kim is a proud US Army Vet, and shows his pride on the wall as you walk in. Being a veteran myself I appreciate that a lot. It’s such an inviting experience for all. We highly recommend it for all types of appetites and tastes. Gamsahabnida Kim’s Korean!! -The H Family!

I am by no means an expert on Korean food. But the food was good and there was plenty. It came out certainly hot of the fire. The service was good. Mama Kim came over to check on us. She added extra sauce for us. Prices were fair for the food we got.

First time here. Everything was delicious and service was great. We ordered japchae for an appetizer and 2 beef bulgogi, saeu bokum, and bulgogi dubu ramyun. Our order came with 10 banchan and all of them were great.

Very delicious, authentic Korean BBQ. Absolutely love ordering from the place. The owner is extremely nice, too. Once, when I was super, duper pregnant and wrestling cravings I ventured out to get myself some takeaway. I couldn't see my shoes, so I didn't bother tying them. Kim saw my untied shoes and immediately stopped what she was doing and tied both of them for me because she realized I couldn't see or easily reach around my big belly. Extremely friendly woman and delicious food. I'm always appreciative.

It had been a while I hadn’t had Korean food. Thanks to my partner for finding a good place at Jacksonville. Loved the food there!! My favorite part of being at Korean restaurants is trying different sides. Sad part is we could only have one free refill for three sides. I wish we could get more. Anyways the place was spacious and loved the service there. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I wish they had some on the house dessert or something for birthday girl 😉!! Anyways had good time with my love.

I just moved to the area and I sought out to find great Korean food… This place is wonderful. Food is amazing and worth the price. I used to live in Korea and the food is certainly one of my top favorites. This place knocks it out of the park. The service was also wonderful, a very sweet lady offered a chocolate treat for my toddler daughter and even though my daughter couldn’t eat it due to medical issues. It was very welcoming. Thank you for fantastic food, great atmosphere and experience. We will certainly be back!

I went there with my partner to have lunch and ordered Dubu Yachae Bokum & Bokkeumbap. Both of them were really delicous and the server was also friendly. However, i wasn’t quite satisfied with the sides that comes with the meal. I loved the vibe but sadly they had bbq options only for beef which is kinda sad. Anyway if you are looking for korean restaurant out in jacksonville, this is the place. You guys really need to check it out.

Very good food and service. The ribs were tender, bulgogi was tender, and the bibimbap was hot! The banchan was good too. Definitely going back for more.

So far this is the best Korean restaurant we have been to in Jacksonville area. Good quality food and good amount of bunchan dishes. Will return soon.

The food was okay. I have had better and it was very overpriced. My issue was the service. I had my 10 month old daughter so I tried to order her plain rice and chicken. The waiter gave me an attitude and told me no. He said she could only have what I ordered if she got the fried rice. I explained that she couldn’t have fried rice because of the soy sauce and he said he would ask. We never saw anyone again until someone delivered our food without my daughter’s food. If I had known she wasn’t able to eat we would have left but he acted like he was going to try and never did and by the time we realized it was too late. They offer extra chicken and rice on the menu. My husband and I both got entrees so I don’t see the problem. You can tell me no but to deny my young child food is just wrong in my opinion and I will not be back.

RUDE OWNER!!!!!!! The customer service we received from the owner was truly disappointing. My sister, who wasn't feeling particularly hungry, politely asked if she could split a meal with her boyfriend. Instead of accommodating this simple request, the owner reacted in an incredibly rude and unwarranted manner. It was clear that she was upset by this request, and her behavior towards us was completely uncalled for. As loyal customers, we expected to be treated with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior left us feeling unwelcome and disheartened. I sincerely hope that the owner takes this feedback constructively and considers the impact her behavior has on customers. Treating patrons with kindness and respect is essential for any successful business.

⭐️ My experience at this place was disappointing. Despite hearing positive reviews, I found the Korean food to be subpar. Having tasted Korean cuisine from Koreatown in NYC to the West Coast and Miami, this was the worst I've encountered. The service was average, but the food lacked flavor and was excessively greasy. It left me feeling nauseated and disappointed. Sadly, I have not had such an unpleasant experience at any other restaurant before.

Probably by far the worst experience ever. First problem. No grill top at all. Second problem Food. the kids noodles was just over priced $.50 chicken ramen noodle $9. I also order some spicy noodles… it was the same thing chicken noodle, the tofu was also store bought they literally cut it long ways and fried it and that’s it. The vegetables were obviously frozen food veggies. And don’t get me added on the lack of seasoning. I have never in my life had something spicy and flavorless. I don’t even know how that happens. The fried dumpling appetizers was the only really win. Problem 3 And then the wait and customer service. We watched our food be given to a table that literally just got there. Making us wait twice as long. And to compensate they gave us more flavorless meat no charge. Problem 4 1 hour after we left my entire families stomachs was hurting. We had diarrhea vomiting. Honestly not worth the money. Do not recommend.

Delicious traditional Korean meal. Lots of banchan dishes. Galbi was so tender and flavorful. Owner was very friendly too.
