Location is right off a major road, making it difficult to get onto South 295 at times, however everything else was great! Breakfast was amazing with many options each morning. Staff was very friendly, even the maintenance guy always wanted to help. The lady at breakfast did make a rude comment and implied I should sit downstairs for breakfast instead of taking it back to the room. Darren was very helpful and friendly each time he saw us, greeting and offering assistance. However, he did get offended after informing him my wash cloth was dirty (large dirt stain very visible). Overall, because we were what you consider “needy guests,” the stay was great and quite comfortable!

I stayed at this Holiday Inn two weeks ago. The whole point on staying here was because there was a pool on site. My 5 year old was very excited to go swimming. The pool was disgusting. There was trash at the bottom of the pool and to make thing worse tadpoles where swimming in the pool. This indicates the pool had not been properly treated. My sons was very disappointed that he couldn’t go swimming. The room also had damage in it which I reported. I emailed the company directly and still have received no response two weeks ago. I feel the 350 dollars I spent for two nights was a waste. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The service here was so good. Sheldon, who works at the front desk, deserves a raise. I was definitely impressed by the kindness and customer service of the staff. I haven't experienced that level of customer service at very many places, and I travel a lot. Rooms are just ok, location is a little weird, but the great customer service made the experience very positive.

If you are looking for room service, forget about it. No room service here in our 5 day stay. They are understaffed therefore not enough housekeepers. Asked 3 times for them to come and change our sheets given my son had an accident and housekeeper didn’t show up at all. Darren at front desk was very apologetic and offered to change our sheets, but I feel bad that a front desk clerk is doing the job of a housekeeper. They did put 9K points into our account to make up for the problem. We appreciated the gesture and attempt to fix it but unfortunately my son had to sleep in his own pee for three days straight. :( Would I recommend this hotel? Probably not for now but we just wanted say thank you to Darren for your help. We appreciated it!

Miss Aurora is such a gem! She was extremely helpful and so sweet. She does a fantastic job in the mornings with breakfast and making sure everyone has everything they need and that everything is stocked. The hotel itself is at a great location, we were close to so much which was really convenient. It was clean, the staff was kind, our room was spacious & the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My sister’s family stayed here and everyone here was very nice. The pool is a very nice outdoor pool to chill out in. The hotel was able to accommodate a family with teenager children by having a room with a fold out coach. There is a spacious clean and monitored parking lot that is in front of the hotel.

Darren at the front desk is by far the best person I’ve had to check me in at any hotel. I haven’t had someone get me in my room so fast before with amazing customer service. I’ll definitely be back because of him.

Rooms 4/5: we had the first room on the first floor so we were woken up a little early to all the chairs in the eating area being screeched across the floor. Aside from that, the room was fine. Service 5/5: greeted and checked in as normal. Location 5/5: it was 15min from the Carnival Cruise port. Very convenient. There was a seafood place nearby that had some really good food too.

Check in was crazy.. a bus pulled in just before we did, about 20 people all checking in. Darren, the concierge, methodically worked through the crowd at a great pace. Never wavering from cool demeanor, or failing to answer a question in full. We still got check in very quickly and efficiently.

I judge a hotel based on a few criteria. 1. Clean - the room is large and appears clean. The shower needs replaced/maintenance. 2. Quiet - the hotel is located off of 2 major roads. Minimal traffic noise from the interstate, but loud traffic on Atlantic Blvd is commonly heard at all hours. The fire alarm going off at 5:30 and 6:00 AM was also disruptive. 3. Comfortable - My room is comfortable and large. 4. Convenient - The reason I chose the location was purely because the proximity of where I need to go for work. The road to access the hotel is VERY inconvenient (and dangerous) to get to, especially during heavy traffic times.

Great one-night stay at a cost-effective hotel. We stayed in a queen room, which was extremely clean, bathroom was spotless, mattress and bedding was very comfortable - slept great. Hotel was fully booked the night we stayed, and they should have had more than one person doing checkin but staff was friendly and speedy. Great variety of items for breakfast, but word of advice, get there early. We came down 45 min before end of breakfast, and found some items were depleted, and juices dispensed water instead of juice. Staff didn't make efforts to restock, or maybe they were out of food? The food they offer serve was great, considering it was a free continental breakfast. All in all, very clean and comfortable, and would stay here again if on a budget!

First stay: Friendly staff, clean throughout, very comfortable bedding and pillows. One mini soap bar for the whole bathroom; Laundry room was hot, NO a/c or even fans at least, six machines at $2.75 ea. with a change machine a plus, on third floor. We didn't take part in the breakfast offerings since we did breakfast with relatives elsewhere. We didn't use the pool or any other amenities. They will put a hold of $50 on your credit card. We thought the one night stay was overpriced by about $29 to $48. Would we stay again...yes!

The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was also friendly. Only reason I gave the room 3 stars and overall 4 stars, is because the bathroom smelt like marijuana. I left the staff know this the next morning. It wasn't a big deal for me as it was only a one night stay. But didn't want to get charged for a pot head stinking up the bathroom.

Great staff, very welcoming and hospitable. Very nice rooms but window blinds not working and musty, damp feeling ... but A/C cleared up the mustiness. Excellent beds and pillows! And wonderful breakfast except when pancake machine got stuck and set off fire alarm... memorable visit with family. Thank you!

Loved this hotel!!! Darren checked us in, funny, and all around nice young man, helped us with our company discount, great deal on room for 3 nights. Room was great, king bed, sleeper sofa, coffee pot and fridge, room was super clean( cleaning staff on hand at all times) bed very comfortable. Great breakfast in morning, the little lady over the kitchen area was on point. Jerome checked us out, he's a nice guy also with great customer service, everyone who worked here was wonderful. This is our place to stay whenever we return to Jacksonville, Fla

I had my room cleaned today. I had to request the service, which I should not have to do. But that's part of the normal poor customer service in hotels these days. But I have to say the housekeeper that cleaned the room did a great job. Above and beyond normal service. It's nice to see someone takes pride in their work these days.

Clean room, kind and generous customer service from Darren at check-in, and hot water! I appreciate the military appreciation too ❤️ Darren provides excellent communication and customer support from the moment he answers the phone and/or greets you at the desk. He treats every customer as his #1 priority. His happy personality and personal attention to detail improves the overall quality of my stay! The king room is HUGE

Staff were very friendly, check-in and check out easy. Room clean and stocked. Decent breakfast items. We arrived around midnight, no open stores or gas stations to get water. Hotel has a little shopping area with limited items. No water available, no vending machine or nearby area to get water. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Covid has taken its toll as there is an acute shortage of staff to man the hotel. There is no housekeeping. You have to go to the desk to request clean towels and toilet paper. Absolutely no housekeeping services and the staff multitasks to the point they can't keep up. Still they are lovely to customers. That being said, if we had known there were no cleaning services, we may have tried elsewhere or at least had the option. Somehow it's wrong to have to pay over $100/night and not even be able to get trash picked up or clean linens. At least offer a cut rate on the room rates.

I really like this hotel. The rooms are large, breakfast was pretty good. I wish they had oatmeal everyday with more toppings. U could tell the room was cleaned, I did see housekeeping but the bathroom had other people's hair in the corners. Like it was wiped but not vacuumed. Our stay was 3 nights.
