Room Definitely Unsanitary. Must do better with disinfecting, sanitation, & overall cleaning! They are not paying attention to detail! Hotel in a great location, but that does not mean that they should skimp on doing what it takes to keep the public healthy! This nearly ruined my visit to Jacksonville. I ended up having to move in the middle of the night, due to getting in late, pulling the covers back & seeing hair everywhere. Along with what appeared to be a bug of some sort on the mattress pad. The night attendant that moved me had nothing to say but for me to complain to the people in the morning. The a.m. desk attendant did a better job trying to make amends than the general manager. When I informed the GM he replied to me with the most generic response ever. So disappointing.

I booked a king room and when I arrived around 5pm I was given a room with 2 doubles. I went to the front desk to request a King bed room and was told they were sold out. So we just dealt with it. There was a hair in one of the folded towels. We found the beds to be hard and very uncomfortable. I used the lotion toiletry provided in the bathroom and noticed it was almost empty. I found that gross that a used lotion was left in the room. Breakfast is included and was just ok. Make sure you get there way before 9 bc a few minutes prior they start cleaning it all up. Even the fruit and juice. I got the bill for our stay and was charged for overnight parking. $11.67 plus a $5 tax. The parking is literally right there, not covered or in a garage. We returned from dinner at 10:30 and there was absolutely NO parking so we had to park at a nearby business. We were already frustrated by that and then to get charged when we didn’t even use the parking is not right. Also an elevator wasn’t working so the wait times were long. This hotel wasn’t up to Hyatt standards in my opinion.

It was great excellent beds, slept like a baby! Breakfast was really good too with lots of variety. Update: one week after writing this I discovered that I forgot my tablet in the hotel room. I called and they didn't have it immediately but a few days later I got a call the my tablet had been found and they wanted to know where to send it! 5 more stars for honest employees!

Whoaaaaa... Just checked in and got in the room. I think they gave us a used/ uncleaned room. Pillows are in disarray, there's hair in the sink, toothpaste, and used towels. This is a first for us. We like booking at Hyatt place because of their cleanliness, but wow. --and checking in at night, so they had the whole day to clean. Waiting to hear if we can get another room and maybe I can change my review. EDIT: Changed my rating to 4/5 from 2/5. Got a new room and it's much better. Room is clean and tidy.

Nice place here. Great central location. Beautiful view. Be sure to book lakeside. They cleaned the room daily. The conierge was very kind. Saying hello everytime you walk in. The parking is easy. Many restaurants and shopping near by.

Home away from home! We are local and our AC went out at home. I had to find a place to stay with my 2 year old for the night. This hotel was perfect. I travel very frequently and this hotel is top notch. Ciara at the front desk was the most helpful and accommodating! The room was sparkling clean, the shower was beautiful and spa like, there was a mini fridge, and a beautiful view of the lake! The breakfast bar was so clean and neat and attended to. Everything was delicious for breakfast! I'd like to come back and feel this relaxed again!

Clean property in a great location. The room was clean and spacious. They had some very nice spaces indoor and outdoor that you can get great pics. The options for dining from this location is just amazing. I mean you can literally walk to 10 different dining options, you are also a stones throw away from the mall..I left my charger in my room though hopefully I’ll get it back. It was a very good stay, the tall young man at the Front desk with the ponytail, he is a Wow factor for me. Every time we stepped back inside the reception area from outside we got a welcome back, hello, welcome kind of greeting and that made my trip. Don’t remember his name though👍🏾he’s cool👏🏾👏🏾Need more receptionist/front office reps of his caliber. Thank you all

Great room, nice location, but within our first hour in our room, (I am guessing it was hotel staff) entered our room twice while we were sitting watching TV. The first time, it was a quick knock and before I could even respond, they entered. She never said a word and was gone before I could process what had just happened.. The second time, no knock at all, a woman just let herself in. When she saw we were there, she quickly left without even an apology. I ran and looked down the hall and it was a woman (not in uniform) hastily retreating down the hall with a huge purse and a blanket all balled up in her arms. I tried to call the front desk, but our room phone was not working. I called from my cell to complain. I got a very pitiful apology from the front desk but not a bit more. I've never experienced this before. I worried about leaving our belongings to leave for dinner. Unacceptable lack of security and privacy.

Great Hyatt Hotel, especially for a Hyatt Place. Well situated amongst restaurants and shopping right on water. The lobby has some good lounge areas for work, meetings, etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. A negative is the breakfast is only until 9am.

We made a last minute reservation while on business. Hotel was very clean and staff was responsive. Plenty of restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Overall, it was great stay.

Another great stay at Hyatt!!! No issues with the room or the staff, all perfect! Location is great! Easy access to St Johns Town CTR. Fogo in the parking lot!!!!! Easy access to freeways. Jax Beach 20 min away.

Our stay and the staff at this particular location was impeccable! Cleanliness, friendliness and breakfast were on point! They truly go above and beyond for their guests. The location is amongst anything and everything you can think of! We will definitely be returning!

Been here quite a few times. I absolutely Love this location. The Hotel is lovely on the inside, great location. Walking distance of the Town center so no car needed, unless it's raining obviously.

Dog barking next door was not enjoyable but not their fault. Beds were not comfortable. Been a long time since going to a hotel with uncomfortable beds. The breakfast was above average. Gym not too bad for the hotel size.

“Lipstick on a pig”. Beautiful hotel, great location but traveling on the road with family and numerous luggage, I was amazed that there were no luggage carts available after 7pm. Lucky us, we were on the 1st floor. I do wish newer hotels were built for comfort, as I could hear everything outside my room within 3 yards in every direction. It’s just my review for one night before heading out and maybe it was just “one of those days”, however, I would look elsewhere if traveling with a family.

BED BUGS!! My husband and step daughter both ended up with MANY bed bug bites. Husband reported to the hotel and all they said was thank you for letting us know. No apology. No offer for any type of compensation for the room. Shocked at the lack of a response for a serious issue.

Such an amazing hotel! I highly recommend it. The breakfast is amazing! Including eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, cereal, toast. Even hot chocolate! The pool is also great. The pool is nice and warm/heated perfect for colder days. The staff is friendly. The lobby is huge and clean. Overall a great experience. Karina from the breakfast staff was so kind.

Pros: Hotel rooms were big. Queen beds and a pull out sofa. Lots of counter and desk space in room. Closet with ironing board and iron. Large shower and bathroom area. Big TV. Comfortable beds. The view of the lake was beautiful day and night time. The lobby area was comfortable but some things seemed worn and needs replacing. Breakfast was basic but doable with a few options. I did not drink at the bar. It was nice to be able to sit on the beautiful big deck outside over looking the lake and eat or play games. The pool area was awesome. The staff was very helpful at all times. They seemed a bit stretched and short staffed at times. This was reflected in the room turnover. At first glance when I first entered my room it had a bit of a weird smell. At a closer look I realized that the room was cleaned but not sanitized properly seemed rushed. The bathroom had some hair and the fridge and other high touch surfaces had handprints. Nothing a little trip to the dollar for a spray bottle, Fabuloso and a roll of paper towel couldn't fix. The beds were clean and well made.

Great hotel overall. The staff was nice and super helpful. The breakfast looked delicious, but I only ate a bagel just because I was not feeling too hungry. The back deck is spacious and nice to enjoy a drink ot just mellow out. I certainly would come back if in Jacksonville again.

Great location with plenty of space on the property. The pool and sundeck is expansive and the lobby/living room has many comfortable places to sit and chat or enjoy coffee. The sunset over the lake was a bonus. Friendly staff and clean room. Not much else I could ask for🙌🏻

We stayed here for 10 days and it felt like a 2nd home in Jax. Everything in town center was walkable. Plenty of restaurants left, right, and across the streets. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service from front desk and the cleaning crew were super. I was also comfortable using the gym for several days. We swam for 2 of the days and the pool was heated nicely. Thanks for making our vacation feel comfortable 😊

Nice, modern, clean, convenient hotel in an upscale area. Plenty of great restaurants around. The room was clean and quiet. Would have preferred a shower only...our room came with a tub/slower combo. Why not 5 stars? The breakfast setup was a mess. Please move the plates and utensils out of the hot food area, and consider moving the toaster and beads as well. There were 20 people clogging the toaster area, or so it seemed. So people started stacking up waiting to get plates and utensils. It took us an extra 10 minutes to get breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

I had an amazing 3 night stay at Hyatt Place St. John's Town Center. The staff was very friendly and respectful. The rooms were clean and quiet. Wifi was consistent and easily accessible. The free breakfast and quick pantry were very convienent and the food was good. There is a beautiful deck with a view of the watershed behind it, rocking chairs and more. I can't say enough good things, it rained the entire time I was here but that wasn't a big deal due to the proximity of the hotel to ALL sorts of amenities.

The staff at the Hyatt Place Jacksonville / St. John’s hotel was extremely friendly. My room was clean and quiet even facing the parking lot. One reason for three stars is during my two night stay, the whole hotel did not have hot water. Not sure how they sanitize items without hot water.

Everything was perfect. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a luxury hotel, but it is a hotel that got everything right. Friendly smiling faces when you check in, quick to fill special request and large clean rooms with agreat view, Located right across the street from St. John's Town Center, where you will find all the shopping and restaurants you could want. And did I mention FREE breakfast. What a way to start your day. There are several business stations and a couple of coves in the lobby with tv's and tables to get some work done. They also have a fittness center. Their secured parking lot is somewhat small, but there are plenty of spaces around. If you do decide to use their lot don't forget your room key. I should also mention that Hyatt Place is kid and pet friendly. Our room had a pull-out couch. They checked all the boxes and we had a great experience.

Great location to restaurants, shops and less than 2 mins from the highway. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean but cleaning staff need to pay attention to the AC vent. Bed/bedding was great but the bed was soft for my liking. AC was a bit on the loud. Overall great stay.

disgusting! stayed here 3 times and twice my room had not been cleaned upon check in. the first time they switched my room and were extremely apologetic. the second i kindly asked if they could clean the black hair all over my bathroom and when i returned for work the hair was still there. Christiaan calls himself the problem solver and was extremely rude when i came to him with my concerns. don’t stay here if you can avoid or if you care about having a clean room

This is a beautiful hotel. Room was clean with lots of room. Everything looks new. They seem to take very good care of it. The back deck is gorgeous with plenty of seating option from round group couches to tables with chairs and even rocking chairs. This deck setting is over the water with a beautiful sunset view. Highly recommended.

Stayed here on business and the rooms were very spacious. I loved the lobby and working areas that they had available. The deck outback along the lake was a fantastic surprise as well!

We really enjoyed this location. The view from our room and the outside deck was beautiful. Their breakfast buffet was filling. Everyone from the front desk, to the dinning room staff where friendly and professional. I would recommend this location.

We’ve been to so many Hyatts up and down the east coast, so believe me when I say you get a mixed bag when it comes to consistency amongst all the hotels. I would honestly put this Hyatt at the top of the list to the ones my family has stayed at. The staff is friendly throughout the building morning and night, they always welcome you, they’re always smiling and always helping when asked. The grounds are kept clean, the parking is easy and the rooms are immaculate. Did I mention the breakfast quality is top notch for something that is included with your stay? To me I don’t understand for the life of me why you go to a high end hotel or resort and pay crazy prices and then you don’t even get complimentary breakfast. Here you have the perfect location to restaurants, quality staff, cleanest rooms I’ve personally been in aside from a brand new hotel, the back deck and free breakfast without outrageous prices?! It’s a no brainer and is why we will keep going to this specific location even if it’s out of the way anytime we travel to Florida. Kudos to everyone at this location and please keep up the good work.

Simply the Best Property to stay. Only 5 floors vs the larger Hyatt Geand tyle. Super smooth check in. Great food on property & nice neat bar area to unwind & socialize. Feels like being home vs hotel feel. Walk to all in Town Center or 2 min drive. The staff real friendly & knowledgeable about all the local places 2 go. Highly recommend!!!

My stay at Hyatt Place Jacksonville was lovely. We initially decided to stay for one night after celebrating my mother's birthday at St. John's Town Center. We were so impressed with the hospitality, cleanliness, and amenities that we stayed an extra night! I would definitely come back to Hyatt Place anytime I don't feel like driving home after eating/shopping- as long as the staff and quality of service remains the same.

Everything was great! First time in awhile I've stayed in a hotel without any complaints. Nice friendly staff, good location, nice amenities, good breakfast, comfortable beds. They had it all!

We thoroughly enjoyed the lake views, pool, places to walk, and lots of restaurant choices in the area. Our room was comfortable and quiet, breakfasts were yummy, and all staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

5 days with no hot water. Was told it was a water main in the kitchen at beginning of week. They said they fixed it but still no hot water. Shivering in the shower. Here for work getting up at 4am with a cold shower and coming back after work to a cold shower. Told its due to a sold out hotel and everyone possible taking a shower at the same time. No solution

I attended a wedding, with Fransisco and his team overseeing all details, and I was absolutely blown away!It was amazing! Not only was every detail covered, and executed seamlessly, they were extremely personable and professional! They handled anything last minute that came up with ease, and a smiling face, and great attitudes. The attention to detail for the reception and the atmosphere of the outside ceremony was picture perfect, especially with the water as a backdrop for the whole day.I highly recommend trusting him and his team for special occasions and I will be suggesting this venue in every near future.I look forward to spending any occasion under their care,as well as at this hotel, with the amenities offered. 10/10 I wouldnt change a thing!Thank you to everyone who made an already stressful day, perfect!

Such a beautiful and fun hotel we got to enjoy with our closest friends for a wedding nearby. Wanted to thank Olivia and the team at the hotel for going above and beyond and helping me return my left/forgotten items from my hotel room. I live out of town and had some valuable items I left and even though it’s completely my fault, she went out of her way to grab my items herself and keep it safe until I could send a label for them to send it to me. Very appreciative for their customer service and will recommend to anyone. An amazing plus to an already beautiful and accommodating hotel. Thank you!

Nice hotel in a good location for us. Check-in staff were not friendly and seemed distracted. I received a nice follow-up email from the manager about my feedback on their survey. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel with a beautiful view of the St. Johns river. We stayed in an accessible room that was perfect for my wheelchair bound companion. Our room was cleaned everyday and stocked with fresh towels and linen. Great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I had our wedding here and it wasn’t great service. We did have fun later on because we didn’t want our night completely ruined, however, we were pretty disappointed in the venue itself. Everyone was friendly, however, it was my husband who had to run around and find workers and ask them to do their jobs. As the Groom, He shouldn't have been doing that. He had to track someone down to restock the buffet since nobody was working it, I had to track someone down to cut the cake, which after I found someone...the cake still never got served, the bar was not set up inside the reception room as we were told it would be, it was out where hotel guests can get a drink for free and nobody was available to dim the lights either during the reception, so the money we spent on up lighting was a waste. They didn’t have enough napkins ordered so we had two different colored napkins, also when it was time to walk down the aisle the runner wasn’t set up as well. One of our groomsman’s had to do it. Then there wasn’t anyone to fix the runner as it scrunched up and I almost tripped over it, Thank God my mom and the groomsman mom who fix it. All in all, the personnel provided poor service during the reception. I don’t recommend doing your wedding here because when it comes to the service you will not get none. This place shouldn’t do weddings at all! It’s only good for 6 year old party’s if that. I’m not one to write a bad review but, Unfortunately we can’t do a redo on our wedding. A wedding is a one time event you remember forever. Our Memory is us running around finding ppl to do there job and being stress out!

What a pleasant experience! We stayed here eight nights while my husband was having tests, seeing doctors & having surgery at The Mayo Clinic. Christiaan & Olivia P made me feel so welcomed. They were available when I needed help heating my husband’s meal (special diet) & when I needed assistance printing. They suggested fabulous restaurants & were very knowledgeable about the area. Veronica was just perfect at the bar & always had a beautiful smile when working breakfast. Housekeeping was very accommodating to our schedule for servicing our room. The location could not have been better with anything we needed very close by. Patti was very helpful with a particular situation & so thoughtful! Thank you all for a wonderful stay! I hope we get the opportunity to stay with you again.
