Made a reservation for me and my partner online. Upon arriving we were told we weren't old enough to book. The website says 18+ but this location you have to be 21+. After having someone 21+ book us in we arrived to a dirty room with no TV remote. Guy at the front desk was helpful!! Seemed like he was running the entire hotel by himself for days, it took a lot of time to get help due to them being busy. This place is INFESTED with roaches. Not a few, we stayed for 2 nights and saw atleast 10.. the room was dirty, the bed was small, the paint on almost everything was chipping off. It was so loud.. day and night. They're upgrading the rooms so there's construction going on all day. Screaming and loud music in the parking lot all night. Multiple police cars showed up during the 2 nights we stayed there. Our fire alarm went off 6-7 times as well for no reason (we weren't cooking) 4 of those times being after 12am, 2 of them being between 4am and 5am. It's cheap. Pay to get the upgraded rooms if you stay, the normal ones are disgusting and looks like nobody has taken care of them in the past 10 years. The carpet stained our socks brown, wasn't vacuumed either. The towels had hair on them and were wet when we arrived (bring your own..), the pillows didn't have pillowcases (bring your own..) there was no soap (bring your own...) basically bring everything you can because nothing there is clean. The toilet was not cleaned before us, neither was the bathroom or the kitchen, stains everywhere that were easily wiped off, seems like they just threw on new sheets and called it cleaned. The roaches were the worst. You cannot have food out period, we were terrified to leave anything out without a zip lock bag, it was disgusting, roaches everywhere, coming from outlets, the stove, the stove fan, the refrigerator, the bathroom, can we call the health inspector?? 🤢 got very sick after the stay, felt grossed out sleeping next to a roach infested kitchen..

STAY AWAY!!!! I found this place to horrible. I arrived at 137am I called in a reservation at 841pm hours ahead I made reservations with an employee named Chris. When I arrived I parked up front stepped in urine in the second parking space from the front entrance. When entering the lobby it was closed so I dialed the extension 500 only to be hung up on then greeted by a half dressed woman who apparently worked for the hotel. The woman informed me that I had no reservation even after I showed her my confirmation email and she indicated that she wasn't equipped or did not know how to help me so she called for another employee who then states that either Chris didn't properly complete my reservation or print the paper work but since she wasn't on the clock she was unable to assist. I left this place spending almost 2 hours finding another place to accommodate my 2 night stay. I didn't find rest until almost 4am. This place is unorganized unprofessional and a shame to the hotel brand. If possible I'd give them zero stars.

Everything about this hotel is just meh or gross. It's dirty, loud, cockroach infested, and stinky. The women at the front desk are also ghetto and incredibly rude. Would not let me back in while it was wet outside and I had my three year old with me. They WATCHED me walk out and told me I was not allowed in again without a keycard. When my husband had to come down and ask why they wouldn't let me in they lied to him tried to say they were giving me a new card. They didn't say anything about helping until my back was already out the door to go yell at the windows to have husband let me in again. Unfortunately the woman who treated me so poorly was a manager which I guess says a lot about this place and why it's run so disgustingly and absolutely poorly.

Great location. That's all. It's mostly long term residents, not business travelers. Roaches. Dirty rooms. Hair in bathroom. Had a kitchenette but no dishes. No coffee maker. No hair dryer. Wires coming out of walls. Spring mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. A fresh coat of paint and some new cabinets doesn't hide the dirty. Staff was friendly, but no one was manning desk at 8 am and elevator wasn't working.

So funny!! Can’t even actually write a review on the experience because we went to check and they said we had no reservation and that it was apparently cancelled by the hotel. Because they actually didn’t have rooms available but I had booked about a 4-5 days in advance. But at 11AM the lady had called us and reminded us check out was 3PM the day off. There was no text or email informing that it was cancelled. No manager on staff to try and resolve the issue with. Legal action seems appealing as they left me and my 11 year old child out out on the street without very much concern.

Where to begin....at check in the smell coming from the laundry room behind the counter was bad. The room was nice but I had to hook up the direct TV box in order to watch anything. It was nice to be able to cook and have a small kitchen to save money on eating out. My absolute biggest problem with this place is I always had to get the front desk to let me in because out of the 10+ keys they made for me none of them would open the front door 😡. When you get in the room it has the bare necessities 2 pillows per a bed (we had the double bed room) so bring your own pillows, towels ect. The only other complaint I have is after dark the less desirable people start hanging around could definitely tell a few guest had more than a housing problem.

Disgusting place. Going through “renovations” that have the ceilings open with some form of liquid dripping out of it. Asked for a refund because I didn’t feel comfortable staying there and was told it was a “non refundable hotel” I would see why they’d put that in place to cover their losses of when people actually see how it looks inside. Not only that but I continued to call front desk and no one answered. Front desk always keeps their window closed while people sit in the back talking ignoring peoples concerns. Disgusting service.

The Manager Aaron is very rude. He often goes into rooms with the girl he just hired. They usually spend about 20 minus the rooms laughing and talking. I knocked on the door when they were in there and they didn’t answer. So I’m assuming they weren’t fully clothed. He finally came to the door disheveled and asked why I was knocking. Rooms smell funny. There are cockroaches coming out of the kitchen sink as well. Don’t recommend for elderly or people with children. Also they have no specific protocols they make things up to go along with whatever suites them. Aaron should be careful dealing with guests. U never know whom you meet on a daily basis.

HORRIBLE!!! Booked a room weeks in advance, confirmed with the hotel days before our reservation to ensure a late check in would be fine and they confirmed our booking and told us we could check in at any time. We arrived at 11pm and there was nobody there to check us in, we called the phone number they had posted multiple times and left voicemails. Ended up having to book elsewhere for that night because we never got access to our room. Next morning we called and we’re told they were sold out and there was no history of our booking yet they have our money and we have receipts of the booking. Do not book at this place it is a scam!!!!

I haven't been in my room for a whole hour and I've found roaches and mold. No hot water to the shower, rust around the fixture and it doesn't drain properly. I'm unsure of the linens and think I might sleep in my car instead. I did sleep in my car and felt safer sleeping at a gas station. Didn't stay a single night of my reservation and unfortunately no refund in the foreseeable future and Expedia was absolutely no help either. anyone who does give this place a good review is probably a drug addict getting a discount on their room cause they were everywhere there. If you value your personal safety or the safety of your family do not book here.

We are currently living in this hotel & the staff has been nothing but extremely pleasant and helpful in any way they possibly can! All the guests are also very nice/nice to be around. The hotel itself is pretty updated, very clean rooms/public areas. There are places for you to walk your dogs and people actually seem to clean up after their animals here! I have no complaints or anything bad to say!

Place was filthy, Cockroaches,Reffidgator worked,Room smelled really bad,wet carpet just plain damp, Front desk was Cool and the maintenance guy Keith was Waaaaaaay Awesome Cool 😎👍 Parking lot & KFC needs extra lighting,Too many homeless people wandering around in the parking lot begging for change or a ride somewhere,Sorry But that's just plain wrong and not safe,so if your looking for a place to stay your better off somewhere else and spend the extra money on a 4 star hotel or better!!!

I was looking for a very simple and inexpensive room for a few nights. My room was fine. It was clean. Almost brand new refrigerator and microwave. A/C worked fine. Laundry area was fine. Wifi was good. Water pressure was good. Very well lit parking lot at night. Close to many stores and restaurants. Honestly, not a place I would bring the wife and kids, but for me being alone and just needing a place to wash up and sleep, it was just what I wanted and I would be fine staying there again. Perfect set up for someone in town for work or business.

I wish we read the reviews before checking in , the pictures, and the outside of building look nice, having a fridge and stove was a plus. Was it worth it though? Absolutely not the whole hotel smelled moldy, the sheets had hairs all over them, the walls were dirty , the toilet was all wet , the floor looked disgusting I didn’t even dare to take off my shoes. The bathroom door didn’t even have a door knob. The have a better keep of the outside of the building then the rooms themselves smh wouldn’t recommend a stay here, maybe for $50 or less if you are desperate otherwise don’t put yourself through this experience.

Everything works fine like it supposed to be. I have no problem at all during two nights of staying. All the electrical applications works good except the cover of the AC was on the floor. Shower water is really hot! 5 stars for that. The room has an en-suite kitchen, we can simply cook something if we want to. The wall and door is a little bit thin so I can hear outside walking and talking. But with the TV on, it doesn't affect anything. Didn't see any roaches. Location is good, 15 to 20 minutes away from downtown Jacksonville or Jacksonville beach. Gas station and restaurants are near by. The downside is that it smells weird in the hallway like bleach or something but once in the room is fine. And it doesn't have a ice machine. Overall, I will recommend it if you just need a place to stay with low price.

Avoid! Assigned to Room 418 on 3/10/2022 and opened the door to find the window wide open and an overpowering scent of urine filling the entire space. Staff did nothing to mediate the problem or offer an alternative. Floors, sink, bathtub, and bedding all unacceptably dirty. Made the mistake of opening the kitchen cabinets to find them even dirtier. The hotel is deserving of it's 2-star status but the room wouldn't pass a cursory city inspection.

Terrible service, starting from the manager especially the maintenance department. I've had a busted toilet since I first got here and I went to the front desk and spoke to the manager about it. The next day on 10/19/2023 I saw the maintenance man and I brought him to the room and I showed him that the toilet handle was broken he told me that it'll be fixed by the time I will be back. I got back at 5:30 pm, he apparently came into my room and put the lid back on to the bowl, when I went to flush the toilet it still wasn't fixed. It is now Sunday morning and nothing was ever solved even though I went to the front desk and spoke to the guy in charge of the front desk, he told me he was going to get a wrench or players and never came back. I wouldn't recommend this place WHAT SO EVER!!?

Awful stay! Beds were wet and floor was so nasty that my feet would stick to the floor, and turned black from the dirt! We also killed multiple roaches! Toilet leek and kept the floor soaked in bathroom! Every time you would turn the fan on in bathroom or go to the hallway or elevator it reeked of marijuana so bad! Didn’t have any towels, smell like mildew! It made me and my husband Congested awful! Went down stairs to get a refund or something better they gave Blankets to lay on the bed to sleep on top of! Talked to Nick was supposed to contact main manger about a discount and he said he would leave note with next person coming in and he didn’t so he pretty much lied I assume!I will be looking into legal action! I don’t recommend staying here!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Photos are not real!! Stains on the carpet incredibly concerning!! I couldn’t any pictures because of fear of becoming the next stain. There were construction workers across the room with dust and noise everywhere. Children running around and overall disgusting and dirty place. No matter how cheap it is it’s not worth it!!

My brother wanted a room for a week. We found this one and thought it must be good for a 3 star hotel. When we arrived at the room, the room looked Depressing. A part of the wall color was gray and the other side was an awful white. There were insects on the ceiling. On the bed, Under the comforter there seems to be hair and stains on the bed. When we called the front desk, they said their "laundry person had left for the day and nothing can be done till tomorrow." We didn't just drive a thousand miles from Texas to sleep on those bed sheets. We asked for an entire 7 day refund and just left. Motel 6 and super 8 motels are much better than this hotel.

I had a wonder experience at Wood Springs Beach Blvd, with the help of one of their staff named Rahkel. Rahkel was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. She never said no and did exactly what she said she would do. She is in my opinion a tremendous asset to this operation. Whoever hired her should be congratulated. Best regards - John Cunningham If she was my employee, and I have many, she would be in a management position.

We were here for one week. It's not a resort but it's not the price of one either. The rooms are updated have stove top microwave and refrigerator. It is very clean and we haven't seen one bug. I give them five stars do to the great way we were treated and it was very close to Beach and the sites we will definitely be here again the staff was great my hat off to the front desk so nice and helpful 😃

I would NOT recommend at all. Starting with the room…the refrigerator was rusted and disgusting looking. The sheets on the bed were not clean. The entire hotel had a moldy smell. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money.

Absolutely horrible. Spent 2 weeks here and the room and entire outside of the building was covered in mold. Floor tiles in kitchen area were coming up, the carpet was not secured down to the point where I tripped over it. Could not get additional sheets, towels or pillows without paying for them. I would not recommend this to anyone EVER!!

There really is not another short or long stay hotel that can really even compete with this one. Management IS LITERALLY THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN. Thank you Aaron! You do such an amazing job and regardless of anything else the guests are top priority. As long as people do the right thing as guests there is NEVER A PROBLEM. They treat people like PEOPLE. I'D never stay anywhere else voluntarily!!--Amanda

First off this place is amazing!!!! There’s never been an issue with my stay and it’s CLEAN! Y’all I always had some type of stain or mess in my room from one or another at other hotels but this one ? NOT A ONE! And the staff? So friendly! Especially the general manager. I definitely one I will remember with how efficient and smoothly they made the process for me. Thanks again!!!!

BEWARE!!!! They are thieves!!! Do not stay here!! My step dad went to jail on October 25 2023 he was paid up.until November 2 2023. He gets out the 2nd of November and finds all his stuff stolen. His prescriptions 2 cell phones and tablet plus chargers . They had no right to go into the room but when they found out he was in jail they went in on the 27th of October and stole his belongings and when cops showed up all of a sudden they didn't have access to cameras and then was told cameras up there aren't working. I need someone to contact me asap and refund the money owed ASAP since they took his stuff out stole most of it and canceled his room when it was PAID FOR. I WILL BE HIRING AN ATTORNEY AND EXPOSE THIS PLACE FOR WHAT IT IS IF NOT RESOLVED ASAP! Room.227

Stayed at this location for a few days while waiting for a residence completion. Their greatest assets are the team members they have working there. The room was surprisingly clean for the general area and the parking lot was well lit and free of trash. The front desk attended to my concerns promptly and performed a follow up. Just surprised by these people.. doing their work with smiles. Wow!

Do not stay here! I just moved to florida and needed a hotel for a few months. I booked and paid for 30 nights here and absolutely regret it. I have 2 nights left and they are trying to tell me I owe more money. They have increased their ratea and telling me i have a balance and have to pay!! It's doesn't make sense. Is that even legal?! The sink leaks and we empty the bucket daily, there are bugs in the room. Some kind of beetle looking thing, only one burner works half way. The dressers smell like mold and it won't go away.on my first night here I got locked In my bathroom and after an hour of trying to get out had to break the door down. It took the staff 1 week to put up a new door. Our bed frame was held together with bungee cords..the lady that works here is extremely rude. When I asked for a manager she told me she was one. Alot of eye rolling and dirty looks from her if you have a problem. All in all, I would of left the first day I was here if I had somewhere else to book.

This is the 3rd time staying here between houses and every time we have stayed here have had great service, clean rooms, friendly staff and no problems at all. Have stayed on all 4 floors every one here always professional, friendly and helpful. Always great service with us having a pet also. This is the only hotel in Jacksonville will stay in long term. Has full size fridge, big sink, microwave, 2 eye stove, flat screen tv, free wifi, good cable, rooms are spacious, great water pressure, awesome AC and heating system, laundry room, soda and snack vending machine and great security system to keep your room and the guest safe. Truly do enjoy staying here every time!!

Yea I've turned to this! Really rude night attendant the rest ogmf the crew is really nice but I've been here over a month and ask for new sheets and was told "DON'T BE LIEING BECAUSE I'M GOING TO CALL MY BOSS AND ASK HIM" who are you to question if I'm lieing. Very disrespectful everytime I go to that counter so I'll make sure I talk to your boss as well.

First off the bed was like a twin size.. never seen one that small before. And also several roaches and no ice machine.. overall I advise everyone to find a different hotel. For $75 per night. A rip off is an understatement

Sara on evening shift was wonderful , very helpful and friendly. This Motel 6 I definitely will recommend to my my colleagues as well as my family and friends. This is the best Motel 6 I have been to for a long time. Walked in a clean and cool room. Can't express how impressed I am with this Motel 6 Definitely a 10 star to the manager I spoke to this morning.

The room don't look like the pictures on the site, when we walked in the room it had a smell to it, the tub was dirty and I killed two roaches. The toilet stopped working and I I formed the front desk and she told me someone will come to fix it. I left out for 5 hours and came back to the something. I was passed when I got back and the front desk lady had left and it was another lady named Mariceli who was very apologizing for something she didn't do. Mariceli went put her way to find me another room and made sure everything worked. Mariceli I thank you for all you did and I hope you get recognized for this. I will not be returning back to this hotel ever.

We book the room for 2 queen size bed and we ended up with 1 full size bed. We told the front desk and thd said sorry we have no Queen we only have a. Couple of rooms with King size bed and they are not available so I ask for 2 full size bed and they didn't have that either. Its was a no smoking room however it smelled like smoke. The bedding and tub was dirty, there was roaches. I called other hotels to see if there was rooms available and there was none so we was stuck. I finally fell asleep and when I woke up with bit marks on my body. Because I paid in full for the weekend I asked for my money back they said I had to get it from expedia is since I paid them. I called expedia and they said that I paid the hotel and showed me proof. I am still fighting them to get my money back. I might have to take them to court.

The room smelled like a fish market when I walked in, it's a suite but they have no silverware or dishes, the housekeeper is great, the head housekeeper that is. The rooms that are online look somewhat to the rooms available, other than the smell that's going to be stained on your clothes when you leave I'd give it a three stars 😐. No actually the smell that's going to be staying on your clothes when you leave gives this hotel one star 😑

  • 1/5 Jonathan A. 1 year ago on Google
Room is filthy. There are roaches. Even after I thoroghly sanitized the room with my own cleaning supplies, the roaches kept coming. There was white mold all over the cabinets and inside the cabinets. White mold covered the back of my entry door. You can smell the mold and filth when you walk into the room. Staff is friendly and helpful. But Aaron, the manager, was hostile and patronizing to me when I asked for fresh towels. Aaron informed me that I would only receive 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 1 bathmat towel for every 2 weeks I stay in the hotel. Aaron was also rude to me in a previous encounter, when I asked him for a Do Not Disturb sign for my door. With unprovoked hostility he informed me that Woodspring Suites does not offer Do Not Disturb signs. No breakfast. No business center. No pool. Homeless people hang out all around the property, day and night, and ask passersby for money, cigarettes, etc. One of the worst hotel environments I have ever seen. Very little to no "hospitality" at Woodspring Suites, 3425 Saland Way, in Jacksonville, Florida. Manager: Aaron.

Worst Hotel ever! No customer service, No Housekeeping ever for me in over 2 years, and shady business practices. There is an ever changing staff of poorly trained individuals that are not equipped to provide basic services due to lack of innkeeper knowledge. Not even an ice machine on property? and you take out your own trash as well. Dirty and falling apart no matter how many coats of paint they put on this Hotel it will leave you disappointed. Not to mention there policies are subjective to the whims of an aggressive property manager that even forced me to get rid of my lil Kitten after the Hotel said that I may have one! She was there for almost 2 full months and not hidden either. I am sure more people will come forward with there stories soon.

I was a bit worried reading the negative reviews for this hotel. But I needed somewhere to stay and this was the better option. I'm glad I chose this place! The staff was friendly, rooms were cleaned and well maintained not to mention it’s a prime location if you love the beach. Chris at the front desk made the check in process simple and quick. And Tracy made sure I had everything I needed in my room. When I went to give the manager compliments about her team I saw just where the staff gets their upbeat positive attitudes. It’s starts with great leadership! Thank you Angelica !

I recently booked a room for 3 nights at the Jacksonville, beach blvd location and enjoyed one of the newly renovated rooms. The staff was super friendly and when I had a maintenance issue the manager responded and resolved it quickly. I definitely will book again here in the future and look forward to the super friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms were really clean. The location is great. Walking distance for food and shopping. The staff is amazing. The Manager Angellica was very helpful and accommodating. I've seen some of the bad reviews. Those reviews are far from the truth. This is by far the best experience I've had with Woodsprings. Thank you so much for the hospitality, I will definitely be visiting again.
