The Nishtar Park (Urdu: نشتر پارک‎) (formerly Patel Park) is located at Parsi Colony, off M.A. Jinnah Road in the area of Soldier Bazaar, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1] It is named after Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, one of the main leaders of Pakistan Movement. The biggest gathering of Shia Muslims also takes place in Muharram as well as most other religious and political gatherings.[2] During the largest gathering of Shia Muslims in Karachi in the month of Muharram the prominent Shia scholar Allama Talib Jauhari used to address the majalis for many years. Due to his illness now, Allama Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi addresses this great majlis.

Nishtar Park, once a football ground, has undergone transformations based on community needs. It now serves as a venue for various events such as the prominent Aashura procession during Muharram and similar gatherings in Rabi ul Awwal. Additionally, during political seasons, it functions as a significant political arena in the heart of Karachi. This central location also makes it an ideal spot for daily walks.

One of Popular is for holding political and and religious congregations and ceremonies. It's negative popularity is for a historical bomb blast in a religious event where more than 50 people were killed including prominent leaders of religious party. It's also famous for Shia Majalis and other activities in month of Muharram. Eid Prayer Congregation is also reason for its popularity. Although condition of park is not so good. Local government should not only take measures for its cleanliness but remove encroached political and religious offices. This is located near old area Soldier Bazar

One of the best park for jogging purpose , its full track covered area is around 400 meters in circle ⭕ It contains 3 pitches for cricket and also it has been utilize for football ⚽ matches several times. Basketball area is also available.

It is an excellent park with many benefits being reaped. Children come to prepare for sports practice and fitness. Matches are played. Games are taught. In the month of Muharram, the series of Majlis continues for ten days. Many women and men visit the park to lose their weight.

It is one of the famous and oldest Public ground located in old city area used for multi cultural activities of Karachites. All of political parties gatherings were held here few years back it was the largest ground in center of city, now the venue shifted in parking of Mazar Quaid in close vicinity. All the Rabi ul Awwal jaloos terminated here, similarly, it is the center point and all the main Moharram procession started from here. In month of Ramazan the Taraweh were also held here. The basket ball court, football post and other facilities for local children also available here, however it has no grass but ground is sangy and gravel due to this during any social gathering a lot of dust pollution in this area.

The place is good opportunity for poor people for walking, jogging and physical fitness. If the management takes a little more interest in it's maintenance it could turn in to a jem. Young and old both people visit here mostly at weekend but there are drugged people also present there spoiling the environment.

Probably the oldest Public park of history where most of the country's political and religious parties have held events including MQM, PPP, PML, PTI, JI etc. The previous name was Patel Park. It is situated in Soldier Bazar No 2. It has facilities for night matches with flood lights. There is football ground, basketball pitch and cemented cricket pitch for the aspiring youth. There is green belt and jogging track inside. On 11 April 2006 a powerful bomb blast killed 50 top Ahle Sunnat leadership. The terrorists of Sipahe Sahaba were blamed for the attack who also murdered Molana Salim Quadri later in target killing. Muharram Majalis are held every year in the evening for several decades addressed by Molana Rashid Turabi marhoom, Molana Talib Johari marhoom and now Molana Shehenshah Naqvi.

It's a Play ground, but sometimes in year, there is some religious activities, like moharram ul harram programs and 12 Rabiulawal etc.

Good place for kids with affordable rates... Good public space for the vicinity... Walking track is very useful but ground has no green carpet. Even religious parties have occupied its space for their personal offices which is unlawful.

Nishtar park is basically a huge ground used for sports, political and religious functions. Usually in Muharram it is occupied and reserved for Majalis Aza. Also Main Julos Of 10th Muharram Start from here to Irani Hall.

Most popular ground of the city, unfortunately not proper attention given to this, local boys arrange tournament of cricket or football, people use walking and jogging in morning and evening.

No dustbin, no maintaining of the park, no proper benches to sit, children's play area is in horrible condition, slides need to be repaired, no washrooms, infact it doesn't have anything that would be called as a park. In shambles now.used to be an iconic park used for political and religious activities. It was centre of political activities and rallies in the past till mid 90s. It is more of a ground then a park. It needs a big restoration as an icon of this city

It's good for walking/jogging/running and for cycling too (even though there's no separate cycling track). Football and cricket matches are often played here but the condition of the park is very bad.

This is not a park. It's more of a ground that men and women come to walk and kids play cricket here. Political parties hold rallies and and it has an old basketball court of sorts . The walking track is broken in some places but it's the only ground in the area and it's free and that's appreciated by local community. The restroom situation is non existent due to unhygienic conditions of the restroom.

Nishtar Park, Karachi makes a memorable history. Its has been utilized for different types of sports for different times. Religious events are annually organized in here, including Majalis e Muharram, Milad Shareef and many other gatherings. It also shares a dark memory, when there was a blast during religious gathering of 12th Rabi ul awwal. A lot of casualties were observed. May Allah protect us all. A large sized ground is filled with sand all over. And there is a small basketball court in the corner. Spiral slide is there for over decades. Recently a jogging track has been designed, where people can be seen in evenings.
