We went here our first night in town mostly because it was close to where we were staying and it was getting late. It ended up being our favourite meal of the trip. We were a group of six and we ordered a little bit of everything. There wasn't a single dish we didn't like. They were very busy and there was no system really to getting a table, just battle of the quickest when a table freed up. We ended up eating in the dining room upstairs which was completely empty except for us. The doors were propped open and we could still hear the live jazz. A wonderful experience and a great welcome to the city.

Fun wine bar with a large outdoor patio and live music. Extensive section of high quality wines sold by the bottle, tasty food, friendly staff.

I am always in awe of how wonderful this place is. They had top tier covid protocol, one of the best wine selections I've ever seen, and a brilliant kitchen and some bomb cocktails. All reasonably priced too! They didn't have a band when I last went but they harbor some wonderful local acts.

Away from the French quarter, a place where locals go. Bar staff were amazing at recommending drinks, good prices and even let you taste wines before selecting! Prawns and Patatas Bravas were excellent.

This is probably my new favorite spot in town. Such an amazing atmosphere, the staff is beyond friendly. Cheeses were delicious, drinks were great, and overall was a perfect experience. I went on a Monday in the afternoon and there was a good amount of people. Definitely going back whenever they have live music, which seems to be daily during the evening. Fully recommended, doesn’t matter if you are a local or a tourist, this place is a must.

They have plenty of wine, cheese and sausage choices there. The charcuterie board was good. We enjoyed the atmosphere the live jazz band brought. I would definitely come back for this!!! 👍GOOD WINE, GOOD LIFE

Bacchanal made me truly fall in love with New Orleans. It’s the perfect backyard, chilled environment. They have music at lunch and dinner time every day. The food looked great, but we stuck with the cheese plate (pictured). You pick your own cheeses/cured meats and they plate it with all the accoutrements. Made for the perfect lazy lunch! Music by Rafael Bas was wonderful. HIGHLY recommend.

Absolutely amazing!! This is marginally off of the beaten paths in New Orleans and a must-do when visiting. The live band(s) are fantastic. The ambiance is relaxing and the drinks and plates are delicious. You MUST fit this into your list of to-do's!

Visited this weekend. They are no longer taking reservations so it is a first-come first-serve seating situation. It is like having drinks/wine in your own backyard, listening to live music. You order through a QR code and they bring you your wine/food, but the service is very minimal and honors the casual vibe. Menu is small but has cheese, charcuterie, and a few entrees. My friend and I shared the large cheese plate for $26 which was delicious and came with fig jam, olives, pickled veggies, toasted bread, and three cheeses. I do not recommend the radish dish - I love radishes but it really was just raw radishes served with butter.

Bacchanal was our first stop in NOLA, and we’re so glad it was. We had several dishes and they were excellent. Stop here for a laid back experience with amazing food.

What an experience!!! There was a slight wait to get in but we were seated quickly once at the front. The service style was slightly different as we had to service ourselves a bit. We chose to grab a bottle of wine and BYOCP (build your own cheese plate). We chose 4 types of cheeses and made out purchases. They took the cheese and plates it with bread and veggies which was delivered to our table. I loved this experience and would definitely return. Highly recommend!

Vertliner is a bottle cap not a twist or cork. Staff went above and beyond to find a cork so I could take the remainder with me.

I recently visited Bacchanal for the second time, and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic. The chicken dish I ordered fell off the bone and was seasoned exceptionally well. My friends ordered the fish and steak dishes, both of which were equally outstanding. The wine selection was extensive and well priced. The courtyard out back was lively and warm; even though inside was still wonky due to kovedz-21, when it opens back up, it'll be good again upstairs. A two-piece jazz band played laid-back, easy going tunes the entire time we were there. If you're in the New Orleans area, make a point to stop by this unique, fun joint.

A MUST VISIT SPOT! They have live music intermittently throughout the day. There is a bar upstairs with liquor and a wine shop downstairs. It’s a first come first serve seating vibe but there was plenty of space for our group of 8. The wine shop has an excellent selection and the people working there were helpful when we needed assistance finding a bottle (or 7) that we’d like.

Such a hidden gem. After the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, it was so nice to have a low key evening. The food (mostly small plates) is ordered via a QR code at your table. You can buy bottles or cheese plates in the shop. And there’s a bar upstairs to get drinks. Extra plates, utensils, etc are self-service. Plus Steve Lands was performing with two other musicians, and they were incredibly talented. Note that there are heat lamps, great for a chilly night!

The coolest wine bar ever! It's not your typically stuffy wine bar but they really deliver on the wines themselves. This is an old house with a back yard live music setup. Get there early if you want a good spot and expect a line but totally worth it!

Atmosphere was very akin to being in someone's backyard. Live music was great except they asked for donations through the QR code every other song. There is minimal service so it's pretty much on your own. Very covid friendly but not personable. Food was fine, nothing to write home about. Wouldn't go again but was fine once just for the experience.

I LOVE this place! I’d been wanting to visit for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. The wine, the cocktails, the food and the service was all on point. I love the option of choosing the cheese for your own cheese platter. Our bartender was awesome enough to create a different drink for me since I didn’t really wanna try from their regular menu.

This place is awesome. Good wine and drink selection. Really nice outdoor seating area (just prepare for the bugs to come out - they do supply bug spray). Didnt stay long enough to see the music but i bet that really adds to the vibe. My favorite part was the choose your own cheese board where you select your cheese from the fridge and they plate your selections. They do not skimp on the bread!

I thought that this place would have a chic of being far from city center and the French Quarter. The people who came there were like the people gang would come to a fancy restaurant, not the fun young people who go to music clubs. The food was good (Buccatini), but everything is self service, including silverware. The band wasn't fun at all. Had much more fun at Frenchmen Street.

We had a great time and I loved the concept. No frills, good wine selection, great cheeses, self service, the backyard. I’d love to go back to give a more thoughtful overview but generically speaking it was one of the highlight of our trip. Music could have been more interesting and I’d have loved to see oysters as an option.

Amazing ambiance. Super friendly staff. We were here for brunch on a Sunday, the live music was perfect. Do yourself a favor and order the charcuterie board. You can pick your own meats/cheeses and they plate it for you in the most perfect of ways. Really a wonderful spot. Go there!!!!!

This place is so cute! The outdoor patio with live music is the perfect place to meet friends for a drink - even in the heat of the New Orleans summer it was perfectly pleasant. The bites were delicious! We loved the gazpacho and the shrimp dip but the highlight was the build your own charcuterie board! It’s so cute - you go into the shop and pick out these adorable little individually wrapped cheeses and meat and they plate it for you. The pimento cheese was my favorite! It was a perfect place to start our night (headed to Frenchman’s after) My one complaint is the payment system - you have to pay for the food and the drinks and the charcuterie board separately which is kind of a hassle. Nevertheless, this is definitely going on our permanent list!

The food is great and it's a cool place but it would be great if they had waiters or some way to get wine advice when ordering.
