The building is amazing. Staff at front desk and cleaning and maintanance is great. Also Michael, the person who handle my initial lease. Everything is new and high quality. Amenities includes dog park, pool, gym, solar terrace, bbq area, library, co working space, etc. but dealing with manager is being a terrible experience. Easy access to light rail, and lots of pharmacy, grocery, mall at walking distance. It would be five stars, but it is being really stressful indeed trying to transfer the room or even communicate with management.

Update: Some improvements in the past few months, the concierge staff has improved immensely. Management has gotten better, but I haven’t had to really deal with them. Maintenance is at the top of their game, always timely in my experience. I have been living here for over a year now and just renewed my lease because I do like my living space. What makes it a 2 star review is management. Since this building took over months ago it’s simply been a mess. They are barely around (even when they say they are). And it’s one mismanaged situation after another. Here’s some examples, telling us of water being shut off under 12 hours with it happening and offering no solution for it. Cars that should be parked in the lot (for a few) sit outside the fire lanes and continue to, even though they are given warnings about being towed (they never are, so why would anyone listen?) The package room is a mess and residents can’t even use it. We have to wait for the front desk people to sign out our packages… It was self service when I signed my lease. I have had numerous issues with packages been left out for hours in the lobby that anyone can access. Packages get stolen all the time.

Love the building, but hated the leasing specialist. She was rude to me on day one. I scheduled a tour with her and confirmed in advance. Upon arrival she told me that we could "do a quick tour" because she has another group coming in after me. She showed me no respect as a prospective resident and made it clear that she did not take me seriously. She is aggressive and clearly lacks people skills. The management and the leasing people are the only reasons we are not renting this apartment. Update: The comments are just for damage control. Nobody has contacted me.

Loved living here and thankful for the property allowing me to return to my hometown after being gone for some years. However if asked if I would have stayed of I did not get an out of state job offer the answer would be no. Reasoning being: The transfer of ownership was a rough transition, to echo some comments here, some emails and calls were left unanswered for several weeks. The building is beautifully built, I loved my studio and there was a lot of storage and new appliances. Downside is being the building is on 440, I couldn’t enjoy the pool as there is a dump some miles away. When the wind blows in a certain direction, you smell it. Optional parking is available at an extra fee, winter time the lot is not cleaned as well as I have experienced in other apartments I’ve lived in. At the price I paid for parking I expected more there. Also the parking lot is open to non-residents. I have seen individuals who do not live in the complex walk through the lot and I have seen police searching the lot at night and broken glass which leads me to believe break-ins may have occurred with no word from management. Jersey City has undergone many changes, for those moving in from New York or other states, yes it’s a nice building however it is in the middle of a city, be vigilant. My favorite things were proximity to RT 440 and the windows that blocked almost all sound. Least favorite occurred toward the end of my term. I’m sure once management is settled and security is raised a bit experiences would improve.

The management company is terrible. And they are thieves who have no intention of doing the right thing. We had a lease that ended before the last day of the month and paid every penny owed through the move out date. They proceeded to charge for the additional days we didn’t live there and continually failed to respond to requests for correction, but had no problem sending emails out. Stay far away from this building. The amenities are constantly not functioning/closed and at least 20 units are month to month boarding rentals but they won’t disclose that to you until after you’ve signed the lease.

I've been renting at The Agnes for about a year and have been extremely impressed by the staff, management, and amenities. The gym is by far my favorite part of living here. It is always clean and well-maintained, and there is a great variety of equipment. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, and the management is always available to answer any questions or concerns I may have. One of the things that really stands out about this complex is the maintenance team. Whenever I have had any issues with my apartment, they have been extremely responsive and quick to fix the problem. The apartment complex as a whole is always extremely clean, which is something I really appreciate. Overall, I am happy with my decision to move into this apartment complex. The staff, management, and amenities are all top-notch, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Hi! Been living at the Agnes for about 5 months and so far, it's been great! Quiet and clean building and the Gym is superb!! The staff is courteous and accommodating. I have to say my favorite amenity is the free front door shuttle service to journal square station. Always prompt and quick.

😠 Just want to share my lessons with prospective tenants. Do not trust anything agents say and physically tour the exact apartment you want to rent. When we visited a unit, We didn't get to see the unit because "it is still occupied". Instead, we were shown a floor plan with stainless steel appliance...
