I travelled for coffee places, mostly around Johor since I work here. This place has a great ambiance, right up, when I stepped in. The choice of food is not wide, as most cafes I've been too. However, I was taking quite some time, contemplating on what to order since I saw few interesting choices. I tried this salmon on toast dish, a latte and green apple cucumber juice. Love everything I ordered. Perfect place to snap a picture or two. It has few different sections to sit in ; fully conditioned, semi or non at all. Service is relatively efficient too. Located along some other interesting eating spots. Parking may be a challenge during peak hours but it's worth it. I'd love to stop by again some other time!

Super chill interior, ambience and was very very comfortable. Vintage decor, right up to the well worn seats! Ordered the lotus crisp salmon bowl, chicken meatball humus and salmon toast along with raspberry and matcha cakes! The cakes weren’t exactly my favourite, perhaps if you like pound cake types then yeah you may like it, but I prefer the fluffier birthday type of cake. The food however was nothing short of spectacular, plating was perfect and a mixture of well balanced ingredients were present! Salmon toast was nothing to shout about, just not bad at all. Would be back, also a nice place to impress a date

A no-frills rustic cafe, nicely decorated with a homely interior. It has a double volume ceiling, creating a really comfortable dining experience topped with a mixture of different seating styles and arrangement to choose from. The food is unique with a twist in flavour, almost tasting like it’s rustic aesthetic. Ordered the hummus with meatball and their signature salad for mains- the flavour for the hummus had a nice touch of spice to it, the meat balls were tasty and texture was a bit like sausages. The sour dough was nicely baked and sliced to the right size and was great when eaten alone or dipped into the hummus. The salad was pretty unique too, with a zesty dressing to the whole dish. Matcha drink was decent, you can really taste the oat milk they used in it. The fried lotus root wasn’t great- it was clearly deep fried and placed aside first, before re-frying it again to serve when we ordered it. It was way too hard and texture was nowhere near crispy. Overall for food and ambience, not much complains and it is a great place to have a chat with your friends to enjoy a meal together (in style)!

We bump into this cafe after my breakfast. The coffee is good, fresh juice is real fresh with creativity recipe. Their pastry was freshly handmade. Sourdough bread is great too. Saw a few main dishes being served to next table. Definitely will visit and try their other items again. Great job to the whole team.

We came here for breakfast at 10 am on Sunday. It became crowded when we were leaving, so it's better to come early. The food was delicious, especially their pastry. Highly recommend their pastry. We ordered grapefruit ume. It was a little bit bitter but interesting.

Beef noodle is good. The beef is juicy and tender. The beef don is so so only. The sushi rice is wet and sticky. Can park at the big parking space nearby and walk over as it is hard to find prking there. Overall worth a try.

Quite a decent eatery just that I don’t really like the old place feel. Latte was good, but the Americano was too sourish for my liking. Glad that they open for breakfast! Not many cafes open early.

Came over for brunch and to enjoy their Cafe experience. Ordered their signature coffee and breakfast sets. Firstly, the ambience was very old school and frankly, I didn't really enjoyed the experience due to the broken down and cleanliness of the place. Service was prompt and professional. So that was the saving grace. Food variety, portions and quality was good too. However, food was not really authentic as it was too much fusion that really lost the flavor of the sourdough. Also, the place was too crowded and plus the faulty air-conditioning, the ambience and dining experience wasn't really enjoyable. Overall, only a 3 star rating for our experience of the place. Hopefully, they can improve on their cleanliness, hardware and air-conditioning in the future.

It was my first time and I had a great time! There's not a lot of choices in the menu but I did order Mexican Breakfast (Have some spice going on) + Thyme Lemonade, Pineapple Lemonade (both lemonades were refreshing), and another dish I forgot the name. They were delicious and full filling👍 The interior is a bit too crowded maybe because there's too many stuff but it is a nice place to hang out/ chill with your friends. I would visit again👍

Very discreet entrance design that first timers will miss. Obviously decor are retro but 'thrown' away stuff state. Some chairs have breakaway splinters so think owner might want to engage a carpenter to buff up furniture than feeling like eating in a discarded store room setting than cafe. Saving grace is good chill music, clean, and nice food and pretty good coffee. Come on a weekday to just chill away and look at people from upstairs. Good if they can do breakfast promo set.

Appears to be a rather popular cafe with a good crowd. The decor is really nice and there are truly "flowers in the window", with views of freshly baked sourdough as well. Would highly recommend the matcha and black sesame cake! The flavours pair well and would return just to have this :)

Came here for the second time on a Wednesday morning when there aren’t as many customers. There are many different rooms in this whole cafe. Many more seats upstairs as they have the unit next door too. Also have outdoor options but it’s too hot for me outside.. I really enjoy the Mediterranean superfood salad because it’s very refreshing and I feel so healthy eating the huge variety of plants in this one dish. All the different vegetables are already seasoned, on top of the three different dips, so the whole platter is very tasty. I prefer my tortilla wrap to be dry in the Mexican Breakfast. Should be served separately or where it won’t touch the wet components to become soggy. I also prefer my nachos to be the thicker type instead of these thins ones. The balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil dip that came with the plain sourdough was nice. A surprising addition to a serving of butter. Enjoyed the lemon curd yoghurt cake too. I even ate the dried lemon slice that looked so pretty. :) maximum vitamin C benefit :). Avoid the peel if you don’t like bitter taste. We enjoyed the hainan beef noodles as the noodles are very springy. The beef meatballs with hummus and mushrooms and two slices of sourdough was good too. I would have liked some butter and the vinegar/oil :). Ordered matcha latte with cow’s milk instead of oat milk as oat milk has more sugar than cow milk. Cheaper by Rm2.

Certainly find the food nice and worth it. But the place looks run down but still good for taking photos. Kinda give off a rustic and old vibes. But a bit of dusty space makes it looks run down..but service and food is definitely worth going. But traffic is pretty bad to get there. So plan ahead if you wanna park nearby

Went in for drinks and dessert 1. Avocado banana smoothies (15rm) 2. Mocha ice blended (14rm) 3. Earl grey lavender (12rm) 10% service charge applicable. Overall food and drink are quite standard - similar to other cafe. The atmosphere is quite chilled. There's an interesting chandelier made from spectacles. Great place to hang out.

Already tried this cafe few times. Superb food with super reasonable price, you can hardly find anything better nearby. Atmosphere also very nice, the deco inside is suitable for those who like to take pics. Overall I'd suggest anyone in JB to visit this cafe 👍👍👍

ambient music played softly throughout a restaurant which gives you to relax a-bit while enjoying your food. upon arrival make sure to choose the best seat which is upstairs😂 i ordered my favourite slice cake, since I came quite several times. cake tastes superb, the same as the last time i went. but the straw man smh, tell me this is a joke, the staff need to improve next time. straw abc ka. plus i came during weekend, be sure to prepare yourself to wait and queue outside.

Came straight after breakfast. Tasty hummus in the Mediterranean Super Food. Lavender Earl Grey cake is soft with good infused of lavender and earl grey but too sweet for my liking. Overall ambience is good.

Vibey cafe that’s full of rustic components, nice place to sit down and chill for the day. Had the matcha black sesame cake which was pretty decent, the fragrance of the black sesame took me by surprise. A balance of sweet and savoury. Mocha was lacklustre, didn’t have much chocolate in it. Pretty much tasted like the latte itself.

Came for some after-lunch coffees and desserts. Cakes were all good but nothing surprising. But the drinks were below than my expectation, especially the ice latte which was bland and watery. However, staffs were polite and friendly. And the place was well decorated. But personally felt a little compacted inside the cafe. My review is only based on the drinks and cakes though, maybe their main dishes do shine.

A discovery of oddly assembled furnishing; clash of style; sensory overloaded and a place of discovery at every corner of you like this kind of retro vibe. Let’s dive in on the food. The meatball had a layer of outer crust. It was crispy and chewy inside. The bread / sourdough was a tad too thin for us. And it was not toasted. Would be nicer to have a crunch. Drinks was good! Feels like that place is more of a drink and cake eatery for people to have conversations. Mind the steps. For safety, hold on to the railing. It’s pretty steep. You will like this IG friendly place. But for those with respiratory issues, this place is rather dusty.

’interesting’ decor that looked run down rather than intentionally rustic. My partner ordered beef rice bowl which was average, I ordered beef meat balls which was quite nice with yummy sautéed mushrooms but the hummus was rather bland. I absolutely loved the lemon yogurt cake though, it was the perfect balance between sweet and sour, and was moist too. Nachos were pretty bad though.

We read good reviews about this place, and we were not disappointed. The food was great, everything tasted very fresh. They have quite a large menu, so we tried their salads and snack and everything was great. The staff were very nice and the ambience is nice - like having lunch in a junk shop!

👍 Solid vibes and atmosphere to chill and take pics for the 'gram. Comfy seats and good ambience. Food and presentation was 💋 for the camera, but taste-wise everything could've been better...! ☕️ Coffee tasted stale as though it's been sitting for weeks (it wasn't sour though, just average) Latte had an identity crisis, not sure if it was milk or coffee. (but I think it was definitely milk) 🥪🐟 The smoked salmon was definitely a gymbro; man was it tough- consistent with the sourdough. Was hard to chew and slightly dry like it was left to sit for hours in the air before serving. Combination of ingredients used for the toast was a good idea but could've been executed better. Sourdough wasn't buttered/toasted, poached egg could've been slightly more runny, salmon could've been fresher/higher quality. 🎂 The equivalent of a IG model caked with makeup- good as eye candy but... Looked amazing, tasted average. tldr: Good vibes, average food. Lavender Earl Grey Cake Iced Latte/Cappuccino Smoked Salmon Toast There's a toilet 🚻

loved their berries chocolate sliced cake, their pineapple lemonade and lemon curd yogurt slice! (huge fan of lemon desserts - and it was my anniversary so why not?) chill atmosphere and felt so relaxed sitting there.

Spent two out of three breakfasts at Flowers In The Window during our JB trip and it honestly might be one of the highlights! The cozy interior, warm ambience and good food options made it the perfect place to kickstart the day. Their Lotus Chips Salmon Bowl (RM 28) was an absolute winner. It was a variety of different flavours in one dish that paired really well together. Their Matcha Black Sesame Cake (RM 12), while it caught my eye on the shelf, was a tad disappointed. It leaned towards the dry side, which was a bummer. However it was saved by their Iced Latte (RM 11) which was well-balanced, and a great coffee for the morning.

Chocolate drink quality is normal, not my favourite. Their meatball set is nice, love the meat ball and the mushroom. Sourdough so so overall is good

Decided to go here with my friend after they saw recommendations that their handmade sourdough bread was good. Not gonna lie, it didn’t leave much of an impression on me, though I did remember it being a bit hard to slice or bite down on. The ‘avocado super’ is kind of what you’d expect, nothing too special, but delicious of course. The hummus however, was amazing! It was my first time eating hummus and I must say it was a great experience. Usually I’m a huge hater for coriander but I must comment how well the taste blended together. Definitely something I’d recommend trying! Price is definitely quite worth if you’re a Singaporean visiting the area.

Loving the vibe here. Nice space to hang out with friends. The food is good, but not so many options. Price wise, lower than typical cafe. Very worth with the food. Good coffee though.

Ordered hainam beef noodles, the beef is very tender & juicy, accompanied by somewhat laksa type of noodles with gravy. (It's not soup based) Pros - Exquisite dishes - Food served rather quick - Cozy place to relax & take pictures Cons - Menu has quite limited choices - Packed during peak hours - Hard to find parking, recommend to park beside GALLERIA

So good that I have leave a review. Chicken meatballs are AMAZING. Toast was dry but hummus mixed very well with the chicken meatballs + mushrooms. Japanese beef bowl 10/10. Beef slices are well cooked, sliced thick so had substantial protein and not tough to chew at all. 19rm each. Passion fruit drink was 10/10, super refreshing. Pineapple lemonade was not as refreshing but good too. 15rm each.

📷 Earl Grey Lavender Cake (RM12) 🥓 I can taste the Earl grey, I can taste the lavender. But the strongest taste is butter cream where I can barely taste lavender and earl grey. How do I describe this... I got a lot of questions mark when I had my first taste of this cake. 🤑 Affordable for a slice of cake. 🔥 Aesthetically pleasing. Will not recommend unless you just want a nice cafe for Instagramable food and photos. I am unsure about the taste of other items since I only tried the cake.

Prices are a bit high, but it's worth it. Upstairs can also add a little more beauty and increase the color sense of the walls. Overall, it is really suitable to sit there and chat and drink coffee.

Flowers in the Window, Johor: Hipster cafes and speakeasy bars in Johor are getting formulaic. Raw concrete + eclectic vintage collectibles + nondescript front + secret passage (preferably with stairs) + neon blinding lights = super cool. Flowers in the Window almost adheres to the formula. It rates high on the eclectic front - the most fetching quirkiness is the bed in the middle of the cafe. Second to that is the bathtub with a tin mechanics water fountain of sort. Your sense of what belongs to a cafe is thrown out of the window. Our salmon with avocado and lotus chips was a pow-wow of flavours. Coffee is brilliantly brewed. We were on a cafe trail and couldn’t eat anymore which was a pity as their offerings seem genuinely tasty. Most of the popular cafes rely on eccentricity but fails on the flavours but Flowers in the Window defy that. You can also buy a loaf of sourdough if you so fancy. #eatstylishtravelstylish

If you’re looking for a rustic restaurant, it doesn’t get any more rustic than this place! And I mean that in a good way. Such a treat for the eye. Thankfully, the food was just a good. We had the Chicken Meatball Hummus (as recommended by many here) and Japanese Beef Rice Bowl. The meatballs were so juicy! Hummus was interesting too because it was made with roasted red pepper. The Rice Bowl was not bad at all, the rice was kind of like borderline porridge. For dessert we had the Chocolate pastry (everything else was finished!) and it was sooo good. Rich chocolate filling and flaky dough. Definitely a good dining experience.
