Had a lovely roast menu lunch here - only available on the 1st Saturday & Sunday of the month. The roast lamb, beef and salmon wellington was well executed. The accompanying roast vegetables was sweet, and the yorkshire pudding was delightful. Their mushroom soup is a great appetizer to start with before the entrees. The servers were all very friendly and attentive, and ambience of the restaurant is great. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience and well worth your effort to come dine here, especially for their special monthly roast menu.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday and the place wasn’t too busy. Tried their beef pie, salmon salad and fruit juice. Everything tasted good and the servers were attentive, helpful and friendly. The place is nicely decorated with plenty of parking in front of the shop. Will definitely be back again to try the other yummies!

Cozy place. Ribeye is on the pricey side. Lamb shoulder was good. Sauce for both our mains were wrong but overall still a pleasant experience.

I am British, living in Singapore, and can safely say that George and the dragon is some of the most authentic English food I’ve had in this part of the world. I attended on Christmas Eve with a large group. The service, food and ambience were all amazing. The set roast Christmas dinner was better than anything I’ve found in Singapore. I would highly recommend!

This is such a wonderful place to be at. It’s quiet and so peaceful, there’s soothing music playing in the background, the staff are very attentive, clean and friendly. The food and hygiene is top notch! Serves classic English, European cuisine with a large selection of good quality (abso-freakin-lutely delicious) cakes (one could order a whole cake for a party a couple of days in advance) and scones are evenly clotted with butter and strawberry jam. (Recommended for those who would enjoy a delightful English style tea). There’s weekday lunch sets between 12:00 to 2:30pm and monthly roast every first weekend of the month. There’s variety of beverage on tap and cocktails too. Would highly recommend this restaurant in JB. Please follow β€œGeorge and Dragon Cafe” on Insta & Facebook for latest updates.

This place was cosy and I like the decoration for Halloween. Surprisingly, a lot of antiques! For starter I ordered mushroom soup (I hope next time the garlic bread could've been biggerπŸ€ͺ). Main course was roasted lamb shoulder - was very good & portion was huge too. Lastly, I add on cappucino. Coffee was good too, love the blend. Staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely will come back again πŸ‘πŸ»

I have tried their signature burger. This is a very huge portion. Downside slightly pricy but definitely worth your money. Verdict: well seasoned patty. Patty is very juicy. Bacon texture is not so dry. Burger itself is very filling and can occupy your stomach space 70 to 80%. Their fries and coleslaw are also very nice. For the brownie I would give it 3.5/5.

The atmosphere is rather cozy and vibrant and I love coming back here became of it. The staffs are all awesome and the food is still worth the money. Its a place to go after a long weekend and you just want to chow down, have a drink and being served like you're an old friend and dare say that most places doesn't offer you such service. The place has been open for so many years, so they're definitely doing things right. I assure you, its always a pleasant experience!

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Made us feel really welcomed. I believe we were served by Philip and Zaki. Food was also good. Wide variety. Love the decor and attention to detail! I loved that the tables are made partly from sewing machines.

Caught my attention for the medieval decoration but the reason that will make me revisit the place will definitely be the food, especially the red meats(lamb & beef). Thoroughly seasoned and beautifully charred, they have ensured the flavours lingered in your mouth til the very last bite. The food quality justifies its price tag. Worth slotting this into your itinerary when exploring Johor Bahru.

Recommended by a friend for this western food restaurant. Was told that they decorate the entire restaurant during the christmas festive season. Lo' and behold when I stepped in, the entire interior was fully decorated. My, it truly had the festive feels going on in there. Super loved all the decorations around. They even placed mini christmas tree with lights on each and every dining table. My wife and I got there at 6pm without a reservation on a tuesday evening, the place was empty. There are 2 dining areas, one for those with reservation while the other is for those without. There are also a few tables outside like alfresco style dining. We shared these food between the both of us. Mushroom Soup, Battered Calamari, Aglio Olio, Roast Garlic Lamb, Apple Crumble Pie w Vanilla Ice Cream. For drinks we had the Pink Lemonade Soda and a pint of Guiness Stout (Happy Hour 3pm-7pm daily). We both enjoyed all the food. None were below expectations, they all far exceeded. The soup is thick and creamy. Calamari is well-fried complimented by a siracha mayo sauce, superb! Pasta is flavourful, not very spicy kind. Roasted lamb is tender and no gamey smell, the mashed potatoes and vegetables were good too. Last but least, the dessert which was recommended by the staff is truly delicious. Warm apple crumble with ice cream is just heavenly. I really liked the crust of the crumble. Overall dining experience is truly amazing. Service staff were polite and friendly. Efficient in their work, kudos to them. Will definitely visit again!

Firstly, the waiter is not wearing his face mask properly!!! The food and service were very disappointing. The restaurant has been on my go list since the time I have been reading raving reviews on Tripadvisors. I was very excited when we ordered the Signature Beef Burger and a Premium Steak. The french fries were overcooked. Seems like the fries were put directly from the freezer into the deepfryer. The medium rare steak is terribly tasting. I am waving goodbye to this place.

Read good reviews about this place & decided to try on New Year day. We were early for dinner around 6pm. There were less than 5 tables of customers. Beautiful interior decor and food quality was good. We ordered grilled lamb rack (RM48.80) and grilled salmon with cream cheese (RM48.80) with a pot of camomile tea (RM15) for the 2 of us to share. Burnt cheese cake (RM14.80) was fantastic, but the blueberry cheese cake (RM14.80) was just okay. Final bill was RM150++ after GST for two of us. Staff were friendly and served with a smile but less attentive and lack of initiative as we were not informed about the special menu while staff taking our order. Wrong order (chicken popcorn) was sent to our table. Luckily, we knew what we ordered. This place is suppose to be good for steak with price range of RM88++ (sirloin) to RM98++ (fillet mignon) based on other reviews. Overall, we are still happy with the meal despite room for improvement in term of service. We may consider coming back for weekday set lunch that is good value for money. It is indeed a nice place for special occasions, family outings or even business meetings.

My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday lunch treat. The food was great, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. They even surprised me with a birthday song and signature cheesecake, never in my life had a cheesecake like that, it was so good and highly recommended. We ordered their special grilled lamb shoulder, signature chicken burger, and fried calamari. Both the lamb and the chicken patty in the burger were succulent and tender, cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to visit this place again.

Interesting deco, brings you to Irish/English pub ambience. The mutton bites is the best. The burger portion is huge as is the lamb shank.

Went for dinner with my colleagues and it was not disappointing at all. The ambient and the food absolutely great. The waiters there is super friendly and attentive. We ordered pizza, chicken chop, sausage and some fries, overall the taste was excellent. Would definitely look forward to pay a visit again next time.

This restaurant has been open since I was a child, they have fantastic decoration and service, that's one of the reason people revisit this place. Needless to say, the food is great! Do make sure to book early for Christmas tho, if not you won't be able to secure a table!

Popped in for a green tea with friends and a chat. A charming spot with a rich history of artifacts and great service. One of the best green teas i’ve had in SEA with a great selection or baked goods that are a must have. Charming and eccentric. A must see spot in JB.

Lovely team and tasty food that's good value for money. My whole family loves coming here, and the monthly roast special is a highlight, as well as the lamb pie and ribeye steak. The owner came by to explain how some of the antiques on display are personal family collections- it's definitely worth having a look around. Serving team are always lovely and attentive. They are also the only restaurant I know that doesn't add the 10% service charge that everywhere else adds (many undeservedly so). Great spot.
