The didn’t let me in, and most entrances were closed. This is more like a truly religious site than a tourist destination. So if you’re tourist, you can skip this. The area is pretty nice and the mosque is quite unique with the yellow color.

Historical mosque.. Still it’s open for prayer. Nice view beside the Malaysia-Singapore straights. Awesome architecture and amazing art effects.

A legendary mosque in JB. It is now open after a long period of renovation. It is near Zoo Johor which so cheap for the entrance. From up here you can get the view of the sea and can see Singapore. Big space of the mosque but no AC which is not a big deal giving the fact that the place is windy from the sea. A lot of parking space and a lot of open space to rest if you want to sleep. Sleep in the pray area is prohibited. Thats why they have the open space outside to rest and sleep. Beautiful design of the mosque even though the design is quite old but with new painting.

The masjid is finally opened after undergoing extensive renovation for the past 4 years (2015 to 2019). The paint colour has changed from off-white to light yellow, while the roofing from blue to black; said to mimic the old colur scheme. The marble floor has been polished to high-polish, and are not covered by carpet (yet) to look extra grand. In addition to multiple chandeliers, it is very grand and palace like indeed.

A beautiful and historic mosque nestled in the heart of JB. Great for a quick visit to marvel at it’s majesty and take a quiet moment to reflect on life. Do be mindful that this is still a functioning mosque so there will be people moving in and out for prayers and other religious activities.

This is the place for a muslim to perform prayer. For non-muslim tourist please consider to come here because you may not allowed to enter inside the mosque to see the architecture of inside mosque. There are several security officials looking after this mosque. I had an experienced perform salah in this mosque as musafir. Such a great mosque with unique architecture.

Alhamdulillah, very peaceful environments. Pleased to be there. The architecture of the mosque is very unique and modern. On the hill top so you can see it from any side. Parking lot is big enough, you can park on top of the hill, just beside the mosque or you can park at lower grounds or in between low land and the top. You can also go directly by walking to the mosque from street. The Islamic Center is at ground level and your left side and the mosque is at your right hand side on top of the hill. From here you will get a very good view of Singapore also.

A very lux and magnificent mosque at Johor Bahru's city centre. Its got a really welcoming and relaxing ambience. Open to all visitors. However, those who are allowed to enter the mosque are limited to Muslims.

Showed up for Dhuhur was told I can't enter and the guy pointed to a side entrance for ladies, I went there and another guard says closed but I can pray somewhere in the corridor full of chairs, maybe it was 30-40 mins after solat time but even then it is never appropriate to prevent people praying inside a mosque whatever the circumstance.

This mosque is so big. Wider look and building. However, it's not open everytime. Only during prayer time. You can visit from outside. Wide open space parking. Lovely atmosphere

Not a rating as such as I wasn’t allowed in (not even the grounds or car park - trousers and shoes work so dress couldn’t have been the issue). There may have been an event on… the security guards weren’t really able to explain in English. Not sure if normally you’re able to enter but other reviews suggest you can.

Simply beautiful. I was living in midlle East for 10years but this is one of the best mosque ever. Some old reviews says that tourist are allowed to enter. But I talked one with one guard and he said no. However, you can enjoy the mosque from outside. It is still worth to visit for me.

One of the excellent architectural colonal building designed for a mosque in Johor Bahru . Marbles used for flooring, walls and covers for the pillars in the mosque. . Situated on a hill along the shores of Straits of Johor, it is distinctively visible as worshipers drive along the road towards the Johor Bahru City. Next to the Pusat Islam Johor on the right and Johor Zoo on the left, it is easily accessible with well maintained roads. . There is a column where the history of them mosque is displayed near the ablution area. Seeing the praying area, the mosque could easily for about 1,000 worshippers maybe more.. . Abiding to the guidelines spelt by KKM, every worshippers must scan the body temperature and registration through MySejahtera only is a must before allowed entering the mosque. Bringing worshipper's praying mat. The floor are marked to where and distance between worshippers are observed. . There are also designated area for female worshippers who wishes to pray in this mosque together with separate ablution area for women.

The arhitecture is diferent from a classic round mosque with tall slim towers... it looks more like a church and it has its own charm. It's just near the zoo. On the green gates was written with black by hand "do not enter" so we didn't enter thus only outside photos :)

Not sure if this mosque is still under renovation or not. Male section is ok but The Ladies prayer section is still not fully carpeted yet. Toilets need some extra attention as this mosque is one of the most crowded iconic places in JB.

Came for subuh. Long drive up the unlighted hill. Passed the cemetary too. Once I entered it seems majestic but sadly sejadah was not prepared and silly me didn't bring my sejadah, hence my knees were killing me at every sujud. I like very much that the security arranged the footwear nicely. First time I see a very high Mihrab/Minbar.

An excellent example of Muslim architecture, sited on top of the hill overlooking Singapore. Unfortunately, no entry allowed due to covid-19 restrictions.
