Cosy place to hang out with friends. Food was average. We ordered the green curry mayo chicken rice bowl, tiger prawn pasta and a pulled duck on brioche. Flavors of green curry can be improved, pasta was too soft for me, and the vinegar used for poached egg on the brioche was too sour to my liking. But overall was alright. Flavors and taste are individual preferences. That have many service staff on standby, hence the service was impeccable! If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to visit. This can be it!

Although the place is quite exquisite, but we really enjoyed our time here for an afternoon coffee break. I absolutely will return for their truffle mash and hojicha latte.

I had the pleasure of dining at Principle cafe by T.A.M recently, and I couldn't wait to share my delightful experience! From start to finish, it was a culinary journey that left me impressed. First, let's talk about the food. The risotto and pizza at this restaurant are simply outstanding. The risotto was creamy and packed with flavor, showcasing the chef's expertise in the kitchen. The pizza was a perfect blend of fresh ingredients, a crispy crust, and a mouthwatering sauce. Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or just looking for a fantastic meal, their risotto and pizza are not to be missed. But it's not just about the food; the environment here is also worth mentioning. The ambiance at this cafe is warm, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or a special someone, the cozy atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience. It's evident that the staff takes great care in creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment for their patrons. The service was impeccable as well, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the meal. In summary, if you're in the mood for delicious risotto and pizza in a fantastic atmosphere, [Restaurant Name] is the place to be. I left with a satisfied palate and a smile on my face. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their menu offerings. Thank you, for a memorable evening. Keep up the great work!

Just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the Johor-Singapore Causeway, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗧.𝗔.𝗠. provides a place of zen with its minimal decor, soft lighting and muted colour tones. Amongst its western-style signatures, the 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲 stands out with its complex flavours and textures. The shredded duck meat are well smoked, and placed atop a toast with a crunchy skin but fluffy within. Not to forget the blow torched cheese and poached egg that is best eaten immediately. Though the many ingredients in this dish gives it a pop of colour, it also does a disservice in taste. The hollandaise sauce seemed almost nonexistent, perhaps overwhelmed by the other components of this dish. The sprinkle of sesame seeds also seemed like an afterthought. However, the slight bitterness of arugula successfully balanced out the saltiness of the aforementioned highlights of the dish. The slice of 𝗛𝗼𝗷𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁 gives this place its edge as well. Its thin crust allows the Hojicha filling to shine in its richness and tea essence. The touch of rose petals made the dessert visually stunning, albeit adding nothing in taste. After a hefty meal and perfect on a hot day, the tanginess of the 𝗬𝘂𝘇𝘂 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮 gives a burst of energy, with an added bite from the sweet yuzu bits. The rose flavour seemed to take a back seat, given the strong presence of Yuzu. The rose petals on the glass rim, yet again, feels merely for visual aesthetics.

This was a cafe featured online about a list of nice cafes in JB. And it so happened that my friend was telling me she likes this place. Thank goodness it’s near City square as we were at the mall. Tried lamb shank as recommended and both me and partner enjoyed it! Also had the buttery /blue pea flower lemonade as I can’t resist the prettiness. Yummy!

The star of the meal was undeniably the GCMB - Grilled Cheese Mushroom Brioche infused with truffle oil. This dish was a symphony of flavors, with the truffle oil elevating the classic grilled cheese and mushroom combination to a whole new level. It's a must-try for anyone visiting the cafe. Equally praiseworthy was the exceptional service provided by the staff. She took the time to patiently recommend dishes, providing detailed explanations of each item on the menu. Visiting the cafe on a weekday afternoon is a haven for those seeking superb food without the usual hustle and bustle

A very cozy ambience. A great cafe for Singaporeans to stop by for a last stop before heading back to Singapore. Tried their mushroom pasta! 5 stars all for the pasta! It was good! Good job to the attentive staffs who helped us refill our water a few times. 👍🏼

Love that we could have a piece of quiet and escape from the heat of the day at this quaint little oasis. We tried the lunch menu this round and food was really nice. We had the prawns and mussels pasta and the lamb shank. Both were good but I wished the lamb shank was more tender and more fall-off-the-bone. The drinks were a nice surprise, especially the butterfly pea lemonade and yuzu rose tea. Worth coming back to try the rest. One comment on comfort - the wooden back rest along the wall ended up jutting into my back rather than giving support. Maybe some cushions would help solve it. Overall greats experience and would come back again!

Found this place on Google and decided to try it out. Like what the rest described, the service is excellent. I had eggs Benedict which was superb! The added spice on top really elevated the dish. We really liked the bread which was soft and and slightly crispy on the edges. My wife had latte and it was ok. The recommended hojicha tart was also very good. We will be back to try other dishes on the menu!

Love the ambience, choice of music, but most importantly, the service of the staff. Very attentive and friendly lady. We ordered the signature tiger prawn pasta, interestingly the prawns are not covered or drizzled with the sauce. I think the pasta is slightly overcook, that’s just my personally preference. They are generous in their tiger prawns for sure. The sauce is great, a little heat and aromatic. We tried the hazelnut weekend special, it’s not bad, taste like a cream puff. Coffee is amazing too so I do highly recommend this place.

Small modern cafe tucked into a corner right beside Amari hotel. We happened upon this cafe while looking for a place to eat at night when it was raining and we were so impressed that we had brunch here the day after. Their staff are very attentive and orders come quickly. Their drinks and desserts are superb and not overly sweet and their food is amazing. It's a spread of Asian fried chicken rice bowls and western breakfast and main dishes. Highly recommend this place, especially if you're staying nearby. The prices are reasonable as well for their quality.

Food: 6/10 Service: 10/10 We tried their Garlic Soy Chicken + Mushroom Truffle Pasta. The Garlic Soy Chicken was a little dry, would love it came with more sauce. The service was excellent. The staff there paid rlly good attention and would top up our water whenever needed. Vibes of the cafe was really cosy. Would definitely visit again!

Good food and generous portion! Service staff was friendly too :) second visit and standards were still good. Only feedback is the pumpkin soup could be improved - could be thicker consistency and less sweet.

Really amazing food and great ambience. Quick walk from customs, no queue and easily seated. Would recommend the different iced drinks, as well as the toast! Bread is perfectly toasted and the sides/toppings complement very well.

Ordered the big breakfast, truffle oil drizzled over the sourdough was a pleasant surprise and great seasoning of the potatoes and grilled veggies. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend the place to friends, especially those with vegetarian dietary requirements.

For some reason the cafe doesn’t show up on Gmaps but we discovered it on the way to our hotel. Loved the service and ambience here, it’s not too crowded on a weekend afternoon as well, making it a perfect place to chill and rest after shopping at City Square. Their yuzu rose tea and hazelnut latte were ok but the rose and hazelnut flavours were quite muted. Similarly the hojicha tart can have a stronger hojicha taste, but we loved that it’s not too sweet. We also tried their duck brioche, which was tasty but missing the oomph factor. Overall still a decent place to visit for the vibes.

Very nice ambience, interior deco and music. Fairly quiet during the 2 dinner visits I have so staff was attentive. No fault in the fried chicken don nor the pizza I had. Drinks were very fancy and equally nice down the throat. Would have liked an opportunity to try their coffee or toast offerings. Prices are slightly high rm30ish for a plate.

Stumbled upon this cafe near our hotel and had the best cafe meal of our trip. The food were very good for a cafe - would say it’s on par with restaurant standards! Slightly pricey but worth every penny. Principle Big Breakfast $29.90 - every item was done well, and went well with the toasted bread. Nothing fantastic but it was a very good dish overall. Charred cauliflower w Homemade Yoghurt $22.90 - good portion of cauliflower and it went very well with the yoghurt. A light, tangy and refreshing appetizer. Wild mushroom and truffle pasta $37.90 - expensive dish as it only had pasta and mushroom BUT OH BOY it was sooo good. Slightly creamy, the sauce coats every strand nicely with light garlic and truffle taste. The mushrooms were also nicely seasoned and went very well with the pasta. It also tastes a little umami and overall one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had. Hojicha Terrine Tart $13 - best hojicha tart hands down. Good strong hojicha taste, not overly sweet with a good tart base. Virgin Mojito $10.90 & Cafe Mocha $14 was ok, nothing special. Cafe ambience was also nice and aesthetic but doesn’t have a lot of seating. We went on a Monday noon and only a few tables were occupied.

The renovation vibe was ok but the music they play is like not matching at all And not sure if they play CD or what but the music keep skit and the crew did nothing about it Absolutely disturbing Who still uses cd this day really not a clue Food and coffee was ok However the crew really have no passion in their job Never spoken a single word serving drinks or food Was quiet the whole way Not likely to come back here as carpark is really not friendly I park at amari hotel and walk down to the cafe And when the rain come you really can’t move so remember to bring an umbrella Instagram worthy ? Yes Come again? Not likely

We were around the area and looking for a cafe. Found this one tucked in a little corner. Took a bit of searching but it was a fun discovery (next to Suasana). Understand they started operation in Dec 2021. Nicely timed with all the opening of borders. Good to support the new local businesses after such a long closure. Food is decent. Partner was too hungry and gobbled up the Big Breakfast 😅. Had the Tiger Prawn pasta too. Coffee is decent. Music, I believed, has been changed to fit the decor more. Friendly staff too. Will come back again to try other items on the menu. Good job, keep it up!

Great selection of food. Particularly liked the duck brioche. Very fluffy. Charcoal coffee is very interesting with charcoal powder making the coffee gray. Comfortable zen like setting with the Service excellent. Situated near Komtar. There is free first hour parking for those driving there.

I had OM… the new breakfast menu. It was so great and delicious. The omelette was cooked to perfection, and the combination of mushrooms, tomatoes, baby spinach, and grated Parmesan was amazing! And reasonable price too! Keep producing delicious food for us!

Easily-accessible, right beside Amari Hotel where we were staying. Very attentive staff who are well-versed in English. I had the “Om” set from their new breakfast menu and it was tasty. Love that the portion is not too huge and I had stomach space for dessert. Cafe latte was rich and smooth! 😍

3.5/5 Breakfast was not bad and had a decent portion. The salmon was good and loved the mash and sauce that came with it. The hojicha tart was not the best I've had, and wasn't my favourite texture but taste wise there was a good tea fragrance. Coffee was good. Service was great and staff were really polite. Overall food quality was good but a little pricey compared to other cafes.

I am actually quite surprised at how bad the food is 😅 Ordered the tiger prawn pasta and the avocado toast. The pasta is too dry, not enough sauce and the tiger prawns do not taste fresh at all. The avocado toast is so bad, the toast is soggy and very under-seasoned. I guess i cant trust google review anymore :’)

Food is amazing. Lamb shank, seabass and mushroom pasta were all really good. Service is not bad, however the place feels squeezy and the staff somehow still like to squeeze between the wall and me just to place some cutlery instead of putting it on another part of the table. Worst part, just before leaving, saw one of the middle aged male chef walk out of the toilet without washing his hands 🤢

  • 4/5 Zhihan Y. 1 year ago on Google
Nice ambience, was there on a public holiday lunch time. It was full but no queue. Avocado toast avocado was on the watery side, prefer it thicker. But the eggs were cooked perfectly. Toast had a nice bite for textural congrats. Coffee was above average but the hojicha latte was excellent. Lemon meringue tart was also really good. V sour, not too sweet. Nice tart base which was solid. Don't like tarts that completely crumble.

Ordered the mushroom sandwiches, the filling is made with portobello mushrooms and it’s very juicy. However, the cheese sauce spread over the bread is a little overwhelming. A little salty and it covered the mushroom taste. Garlic soy chicken rice bowl is good. Portioning is good. Chicken quality is good too. Coffee is very weak, but generally good.

(Translated by Google) [Brioche Box] Choose the following four flavors I also told the store not to put cheese The store is also willing to adjust to the customer’s taste The delicate packaging is also tied with dried flowers and dried fruits The whole feel is very small and fresh~~ The base is homemade [Brioche] It tastes soft and moist (a bit like cake?) [Wild Mushroom w Truffle Oil] Rich mushroom + truffle oil + spices This combination is my favorite flavor After using Truffle Oil, it feels like Atas~~ 【Smokey Eggplant】 Smoky aroma with moist and dense eggplant A very special match [Hummus Rocket & Cucumber] Crisp and juicy cucumber with hummus It's a refreshing type and feels particularly healthy haha~ 【Smoked Duck w Arugula】 Rich smoked duck with the aroma of arugula (Original) 【Brioche Box】自选了以下四款口味 还特别交待店家不要放cheese 店家也很愿意配合客户的口味进行调整 精致的包装上还绑着干花和果干 整个就很小清新的feel~~ 基底是自制的【布里欧修面包 Brioche】 吃起来软软的 比较湿润的口感(有点像蛋糕?)
