My
husband
and
I
stayed
here
one
night
so
we
could
attend
an
event
in
DXB.
We
used
to
stay
quite
often
but
hadn't
in
over
2
years.
Staying
this
past
weekend
reminded
us
why
we
liked
staying
here.
Upon
arrival,
Mr.Komron
stopped
the
paperwork
he
was
doing
and
greeted
me
promptly.
He
was
super
friendly
and
professional.
He
even
upgraded
us
to
a
suite,
which
was
absolutely
lovely!
Mr.
Komron
gave
us
a
thorough
overview
of
the
Movenpick
and
UBK
offers
and
amenities.
He
was
very
attentive
and
made
sure
we
were
well
taken
care
of.
Thanks
a
million,
Mr
Komron.
Our
suite
was
amazing!
It
had
lots
of
windows
that
overlooked
the
water.
The
bathroom
was
fit
for
royalty!
We
did
order
room
service
(chicken
strips
and
a
beef
burger).
Both
were
delicious!
The
location
is
optimal!
It
is
nearby
(<3
minute
walk)
a
supermarket,
pharmacy,
UBK
restaurant
and
bar,
and
Jazz
Pizza
Express
which
has
live
performances
nightly.
The
Metro
station
is
also
within
walking
distance.
The
hotel
provides
transportation
and
entrance
to
a
private
beach
in
JLT.
The
only
thing
that
was
not
perfect
about
the
stay
was
that
they
still
have
a
minibar
in
the
hotel
room.
I
thought
that
with
COVID19,
all
hotels
(even
5*
hotels)
had
done
away
with
minibars
for
sanitation
purposes.
With
such
efficient
hotel
employees,
QR
codes,
and
room
service,
is
a
minibar
even
needed?
Plus
it
impedes
the
check
out
process.
The
minibar
has
to
be
checked
upon
checking
out,
which
delayed
us
about
20
minutes.
We
were
charged
for
a
bottle
of
whisky
and
a
bottle
of
wine.
We
consumed
neither.
(We
never
consume
any
food
or
beverages
from
a
hotel
minibar
for
myriad
reasons.)
When
I
explained
that
we
had
not
consumed
anything
from
the
minibar,
someone
was
asked
to
recheck
the
room.
Same
response:
2
beverages
consumed.
My
husband
had
to
go
back
up
to
the
room
to
show
them
that
we
hadn't
eaten
or
drunk
anything.
The
bottles
that
were
“missing”
were
beside
the
mini-fridge.
For
some
reason,
neither
person
who'd
checked
the
room
had
seen
them.
We
were
not
upset
or
anything,
just
delayed
20
minutes.
Mr.Kamron
and
the
manager
were
very
apologetic.
It
definitely
was
neither
of
their
fault.
It
was
just
an
overlook
and
misunderstanding.
The
hotel
is
still
a
gem!
We
look
forward
to
returning
soon.
