Coffee
trader
and
roaster
more
than
80
years
in
business.
However,
the
beans
are
not
%100
Arabica.
There
are
robusta
beans
mixed
in
the
batches
they
sell.
I
noticed
this
when
I
brewed
my
espresso
at
home.
You
can
extract
a
lot
more
foam
from
Robusta
beans
than
you
obtain
from
Arabica
beans.
Robusta
beans
are
round,
tiny
and
the
crack
is
flat,
whereas
Arabica
beans
are
bigger
in
shape,
oval
and
the
crack
formation
is
like
the
letter
S.
I
got
the
Kenya
beans
to
try.
It
was
okay
but
very
high
in
caffeine
obviously
because
it
was
Robusta.
Robusta
beans
grow
around
sea
level
so
the
plant
is
exposed
to
sun
all
day
long
and
at
night
due
to
very
limited
air
flow
it
can
not
grow
acidity
inside
while
growing.
On
the
other
hand,
at
elevations
1600-2200
where
Arabica
beans
are
grown,
the
beans
get
a
good
and
effective
resting
at
night
with
perfect
air
flow
and
less
pressure,
so
forms
great
acidity
which
gives
great
quality
to
the
beans.
I
don’t
think
Minas
cares
about
these
details
and
mixes
the
arabicas
with
robustas
on
their
own.
The
price
is
cheaper
than
the
standard
market
price.
They
have
great
variety
of
origins,
almost
all
over
the
world.
That’s
great
of
course.
But
you
don’t
know
when
they
roast.
After
roasting,
2-3
weeks
is
the
best
time
to
enjoy
the
coffee.
This
is
crucial
in
all
sorts
of
brewing.
The
place
is
also
a
little
bit
untidy.
All
the
bags
and
packing
are
all
around
the
shop.
It
needs
some
tidy
up.
Overall
score
3.8/5
for
a
Coffee
Roaster
