On Medov on the bridge Homlin Karl is on duty. He keeps score of the boats, sparrows and finches. Grandpa Homlin is the elder of a large family. He has a grandmother Martha, mom and dad Leo and three grandchildren. Grandpa loves tea made from local herbs and is never sad. Rub and ask him for good mood and health!

A very interesting quest to find homlins.

Interesting story. The bridge was originally built from wood, but in the second half of the 19th century it was decided to rebuild it from metal. The final version of the structure with an adjustable mechanism was completed in 1882. Its bridge supports allowed passage of ships up to 10 meters wide.

Grandfather was named Karl. The figure was installed on June 3, 2018. Homlins are fantastic creatures. They are believed to bring happiness. Tourists and local residents are very respectful of these heroes, of whom, by the way, there are already seven. The remaining figures are located in other significant places in Kaliningrad. Local residents often put some warm clothes on Grandpa Karl and other Homlins so that they don’t freeze. It looks very unique and is sure to touch the hearts of city guests when they see insulated Homlins.
