An interesting and beautiful German fortification structure. During the construction, special fortification bricks were used, made using the multi-firing method. Currently closed to the public. This would be the perfect place for another museum. The tower was built in 1853 as part of the fortifications of Königsberg and received its name in honor of Field Marshal Wrangel. The Wrangel Tower is a mirror image of the Don Tower (which now houses the Amber Museum). The diameter of both towers is 34 meters and the height is 12 meters. The artillery of the towers was housed in 42 casemates located on two round tiers. At the top of the second floor was an open gun platform protected by a jagged parapet.
