I
stayed
at
this
hotel
for
4
nights
in
May.
The
pros:
Friendly,
quick
check
in
and
bag
storage
(as
I
arrived
early)
Rooms
are
clean,
large
and
pretty
quiet.
I
had
a
river
view
room
which
was
nice
but
you
also
look
out
over
the
highway
Food
was
nice
in
general:breakfast
was
nothing
special
and
soup
was
tepid
when
it
came
to
my
room.
The
cons:
Housekeeping
never
came
one
day
despite
me
being
out
of
the
room
from
8am-5pm.
They
were
still
working
when
I
returned
and
nobody
knocked
to
ask
if
I
needed
anything.
One
of
my
hotel
pet-hates
is
when
they
claim
to
be
a
'green'
hotel
and
ask
you
to
think
about
your
choice
for
reusing
towels.
Despite
hanging
your
towels
to
reuse,
the
housekeeping
team
still
take
them
and
give
new
ones.
Meaning
I've
used
9
towels
in
4
days
(would've
been
more
if
there
wasn't
a
missed
housekeeping
visit)
At
check
in,
I
asked
if
there
were
any
English
language
walking
tours
and
guided
tours
to
the
Curanian
Spit
and
was
kindly
told
they'd
ask
and
let
me
know.
I
check
out
tomorrow
and
nobody
has
gotten
back
to
me.
Luckily,
I
didn't
wait
and
sourced
a
great
guide
myself.
Why
offer
to
help
if
you've
no
intention
of
helping
or
just
fib
and
say
no
guides
available
as
I'd
be
none
the
wiser.
Not
the
friendliest
of
staff
when
you
pass
them:bar
staff
don't
greet
you
or
say
hello,
2
housekeepers
stood
nattering
in
the
doorway
by
the
lift.
I
had
to
squeeze
through
them
to
get
to
the
lift
but
they
happily
carried
on
chatting.
I
ordered
room
service
and
the
guy
that
delivered
my
food
didn't
go
out
of
his
way
in
the
politeness
department.
He
delivered
the
food,
no
hello
or
goodbye.
I
asked
for
someone
to
collect
the
dishes
but
he
returned
and
left
the
salt
and
pepper
and
napkins
on
my
table.
I
asked
him
if
he
would
like
to
take
them,
he
just
walked
off,
leaving
them
with
me.
Construction
work
outside
the
hotel.
I
just
went
to
sit
outside
for
a
drink
and
lunch.
Two
other
tables
were
seated
after
me
and
menus
brought
over
immediately.
I
sat
for
20
minutes
before
a
waitress
came
to
ask
me
what
I
wanted.
A
menu
would
be
nice,
she
said
"sorry"
and
went
to
get
one.
Except
she
never
came
back
so
I
went
and
had
a
lovely
lunch
next
door
at
the
Ibis.
I
was
planning
to
have
my
breakfast
and
lunch
here
tomorrow
but
have
already
decided
I'll
go
elsewhere..
Customer
service
skills
clearly
leave
a
lot
to
be
desired.
I
can
see
why
this
is
a
3*
as
service
is
below
par
in
my
opinion.
I've
no
immediate
plans
to
come
back
to
Kaliningrad
and
if
friends
where
to
ask,
I'd
point
them
elsewhere
for
their
stay.
