Locally popular as Kala Pathar Chashma (Black Rock Spring), is a natural water spring coming out in a very small pond on ground from a black rock. People drink water and take away with them in bottles. Nearby the valley becomes broad and there are camping facilities on bank of river. Food is available. Infact their are food cabins right over the spring, shich hives it a sort of dirty and ugly look. It would have been better if surrounding area would have been neat and clean. The spring is apprix 25 km from Thal main turn and 10 km from Aabshar (waterfall).

It was 2 hour drive from Thal and 30 min drive from center of Kumrat Valley. People come to see Kala Chasma but it is not worth seeing although i would highly recommend to visit for purpose of trecking. When we saw kala chasma,we were like surprised thta why people have created so much hype, but we chose to treck and found it really serene and soothing. When you start trecking,100 meter ahead, there is wooden bridge from where you can cross the river and feel the serenity of this place.

The place name as thory oba or kala chashma its 1hour 20mins away from kumrat waterfall on walking distance and 20 mins in jeep. I recommend walking that batter then jeep views. The river view is mind blowing. The food is expensive there go visit this place. Not need to go further away from that all the terrain is same after this so don’t wast your time and energy. And don’t listen to the locals they will miss guide you always.

The whole kumrat valley is amazing but this the end point called thoray oba ( black water) is the most beautiful place i have ever seen in my life. The water is crystal clear. Natural blue and cold 🥶. The plane area between mountains is surrounded by tall trees. Eye-catching tall steep mountains with perfect weather makes it the most fabulous place to visit. But the only catch is the road from shringal area to kumrat, very bad shape. Listen DO NOT COME CORROLA OR ALTO. ONLY FOUR WHEEL JEEPS WITH GOOD CLEARANCE. I hopes this helps 😃

Nothing worth travelling so far into the mountains rather there is no such Kala Chashma there. However the serenity and calmness of the environment paid the price
