Founded way back in 1903, Nsambya is a Catholic Mission Hospital owned by the Archdiocese of Kampala and managed by the Little Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.

Clean environment, they are making a new look for some wards. However the service is really slow and some employees are rude. I wonder why we have to pay for parking

I regret the day we took our mother to this hospital... I wish God opened our eyes...slow doctors at diagonising apatient... Kept her on paim killers for three weeks ...thet hide medical reports even acare taker has no access to written information about thier patient.. Ive never seen this anywhere.. poor woman she was kept in bed for amonth yet they knew they couldnt save her life... We were patient thinking we were dealing with awell experienced medical team.. ..the surgions are gamblers they dont get full knowlege before they are give authority to work on patients ..doctors are never in the hospital u have to wait for aweek to see asenior doctor ..lab results take days to get out... It was the worst experience in our lives...we lost the person we treasured most just because of the negligence of the Nsambya team... But as you know uganda...even when you sue ..you just open healing wounds and end up getting ..nothing........ Ateam of ten surgions cant think out of abox to know the cause of aproblem on apatient.... So so dissapointed never ever for as long as i liv go back to the gates of this hospital to treat apatient.... God help your country..... The best people are loosing thier lives just so easily like that........

Very poor services, cant diagnose patient, incompetent doctors who are just money minded. I sent my pregant wife to this hosptial with chest pains and the first thing they did was to take an X-ray which can damage the developing babe. Which the results of the x-ray they said she had some fluid in her lungs and had to extract it, she waited for 2days with no attetion for this to be done. Later the someone came to peform the task and reported no fluids to be drained and she waited for other tested for two more days which she even never received but later some so called doctors came and told her that the person that tried to drain the fluid wasn't qaulified to do it and they had to repeat the procedure they immediatedly demanded for 420,000 ugandan shillings to do a CT scan for the chest again exposing my developing baby to excesive radiations which can result into disablities in the future. Today as we talk she is still there waiting for the CT Scan results and other tests. I personally feel this is 100% unacceptable for any health care and its a shame that nsambya hospital puts money first before life. Yes money first i accept and pay then you deliver nothing and pile bills on me. I am so disappointed and i would like to sue this hospital management. To add i even sent them an email days ago about this poor treatment to my wife and they never repied till now.!!!!!!!

Matovu at the CT scan takes bribes; when confronted he became aggressive and abusive . We asked for a refund with the help of the Neurologist on duty that day. Matovu should be investigated.

One of the oldest hospitals in the country and you can tell from its buildings and layout. Not much in terms of infrastructure but it's still popular. Fairly clean and reliable

Their labour and delivery services are really good. They have both public and private units. I would say I can choose either one. The public has more people but the partitions are pretty similar to private. There baby nursery is also good. If the baby has any complications after birth you are rest assured that they will get the help they need to get better.

The guards need constant bribing, we have had to beg for every service, the "no blood story has been told to us for two days, it is hard to believe we are actually in the private wing.

It's a privatevnot for profit hospital that was funded by the catholic church. It's a non profit hospital that is located in one of the suburbs of Kampala. The hospital offers both general specialized care to patients. There are both inpatient and outpatient wards. There are ambulances for emergency cases with an ICU for those that may need one. Nsambya hospital also has a nursing teaching hospital. Though non profit, the cost of treatment at the hospital is relatively high.

I had a very bad experience at this hospital I was given multiple admissions and tests but I didn't get any proper medication for what they had diagnosed for over 2months of being in and out of the hospital. They kept running expensive tests , seeing what was wrong but no proper medication was given I just kept detoriating until I had to find another hospital

Totally disappointed. Was referred from mbarara university to use your laboratory to get some samples from my patient's right lung, your stuff deliberately refused to give me the samples claiming they will go on with the tests. Promising us it will take 5 days, results took more than a week and we fought hard to even leave your hospital without the results even. Paid for some tests that were never carried out. Am totally disappointed

2 stars only for being the best hospital in uganda. Nevertheless they keep you waiting looong hours, plan poorly, charge you multiple times unnecessarily, staff have a sour attitude and are generally slow like every other service offered in the country. Don't get sick in Uganda. ?

The rest of the services are great apart from their security guards who frustrate patients and their care takers. Everytime one wants to get out and back to the hospital they want bribes with different excuses of breaking the rules especially the female guards.

This is by far the worst hospital I have been to in the past few years, the way the customers are handled is very silly. A simple test can take up to 8 hours in stupid procedures, u take kids for an emmergency and an entire hospital can’t afford to put a cashier on the top floor, what kind of nonsense is this where u have to pick meds from a pharmacy that is 2 floors down in an emmmergency. This is the last time I will be here, this is a death space.

I don't know about all doctors here but i don't recommend at all to go to the skin doctor in this hospital i mean the old skinny doctor he don't explain any thing about your situation and don't hear you well just want to describe the medication, we go to another one in another hospital and new one told us that the the treatment was very poor . I hope the management of hospital looks well to the doctors whe employing them in hospital
