Location is just OK. Price is okay too compared to what you get. Nice breakfast. Pretty noisy (the traffic light has an audible signal for blind people that can be constantly heard from 6am to 8pm and, a huge crow colony resides on the tree right in front of the hotel and in the evening they just start to croak the louder they can). Obviously there's nothing the hotel can do with that... Our room was clean.

Came here after a competition for lunch, their service and time taken to prepare the meal made me regret ever coming. The portions were very small and the prices were ridiculously high. Quality was mediocre at best.would never visit again.

It's amazing place, in the heart of Kandy you will have every thing you want right next to you, so the location is perfect, the view from the room and the roof is beutiful, the breakfast is so delicious, and the staff is so nice and friendly

This hotel is love. The ambience, food, etc etc is so nice that one will feel bound to go there again n again.

Good location, friendly staff, clean and safe. The small problem for me was that the room we were in had no window so it felt kinda odd and also therr was a light traffic sound comming through the wall. So go foe this is if you're staying short time.

I loved this place. I have stayed in a lot of hostels and I can say this is one of the best I’ve stayed in. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, the place is clean and comfortable. The dorms and bathrooms are also segregated which is really nice to have for solo female travelers.

Hotel is in a high elevation with a nice view. They warmly welcomed us. The staff is so friendly. Food is really great. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner were buffet. There were so many varieties of food and they are fresh. One of the best hotel.

The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The hotel is well maintained. The beds were very firm, too firm for my liking. The food was good. Would definitely stay there again !!!

Small resume: people amazing, clean good, breakfast the worst in whole Sri Lanka. For this, price very hight compared with the others 8 hotels, homestays, rooms I lived in Sri Lanka.

New hotel finding its identity. It is really hard to rate Impala City Hotel on a scale like this one, coz some aspects is excellent and some not so good. It never comes to poor or terrible though. I would call it “needing improvement”. If you are looking for a fancy boutique hotel and all the trimmings of luxury, you are not in the right place, and if you are looking for a basic sleep-in or hostel, I don’t think you are either. They do have some bunkbeds and shared showers, but it is a bit more to it than that. If you are looking for a place right in the city with friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable beds and showers, you could pick Impala Hotel. Excellent: The staff, all of them, from the doorman & cleaner to the management. The beds and linen, the showers (all new) and the location. Well, if you like to be dead on in the city centre and close to the tooth temple and lake and shopping, that is. Also it is close to both the train - as to the bus station. Very good: Cleanliness, rooftop terrace and “cafe area”. Average: Room size and features and reception area. Needing improvement: Doors and keys and maybe sound proofing and breakfast. It is a new hotel and the owners are finding their way and segment and must take some decisions regarding which way they will turn this former footware store house into a pleasant hotel for its guests. They are trying their best and like feedback and maybe some advice.

We stayed 1 night in a 6 bunk bed room, no window and strong moldy smell in the room. Bathroom shared but really clean. You can hear the steps in the hallway thus rather for people with a deep sleep. The pictures online look newer and polished compared to our room with broken lockers and a moldy wall. Breakfast was just ok but no choice. WiFi slow and only in the reception area. Friendly staff thus.

It’s got a nice roof top to relax on in the morning and evening. I stayed for 10 dollars a night which was a good price however breakfast wasn’t included for my stay. Overall it’s got everything you need to enjoy kandy.❤️

The place was great and the staff was friendly. But one of the room service man opened the door without checking in the morning. They didn't even know that someone is inside or anything. Therefor I am adding 1 star...
