Great German style restaurant/brewery! Very family/kid friendly with lots of outdoor seating and play space. Incredible beers options with traditional German foods. They even have vegan options! The vegan brat is great, and there is a lot more!

I loved my short visit to the Kansas City Bier Company. Tried the Eiz Weiss and loved it. Spicy and complex – a full bodied darker wheat beer. The atmosphere was friendly and upbeat. The space - with high ceilings - is quite airy with a European beer hall. Feel to it. Something like modern German. The bar is well designed. Long table seating is reminiscent of those German beer halls. I’ve enjoyed every beer I’ve had from the Kansas City Bier Company, and I’m looking forward to more innovation from them in the future.

Updated Review. Hands down the best place to be. I am so thankful for a place to bring my family, knowing they are safe and we all have a great time together! The staff is still fantastic and the food is just as incredible as the everytime we've been! Thank you KC Bier! Incredible. Beyond friendly staff. Accommodating and family friendly. Sample of beer if you want. Everything is incredible on the menu. A must see if you are in KC!

Great beer, food, service, and everything else. You can tell how passionate they are about German style beer and culture. Definitely my favorite spot (not just brewery) in the neighborhood.

Awesome Brewery! Very good authentic German beer. I got two beers, a pretzel, and cheese soup for $16! The atmosphere is really good. I would come back here and recommend it to friends. They get all of their beer ingredients from Germany, except water.

A legit German biergarten in South KC. Crushed limestone and trees. 10 stars out of 5. Bought 3 12 packs to go, should have cleared them out. Just so good, so great.

Great place to drink beer. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm not even a regular yet they can recognize customers who are infrequent. Great for anyone who likes German Style beer.

K.C. Bier Co. is a great place with great vibes, oh, and beer, of course! I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried here. The service was great also. Make this a stop on your next Kansas City trip.

Wow. Never knew about this venue. We came over for the we support Ukraine picnic. It was an AWESOME time. Our server, Max and the GM Dani assisted us greatly with drinks and food. They were so fast and courteous. The KC Bier team is superb. We can't wait for their Oktoberfest. This is not just a brewing company. Inside are long tables and benches reminding me of a German Bierfest tent. And the outside seating is nice. They have Bier on tap and food. A very nice destination to just go and enjoy for the day! Wunderbar! Travel to Germany no longer required. Can't overstate how good the beer, food, and service was. Hits the absolute sweet spot before a craft brewery becomes too big. Maybe it's just food management. Regardless KC Bier is fantastic.

I was hoping for the bomb dunkel since this is a German style brewery. That's the only type I've tried at a few places over the years. Tried two others but, just not my taste. I did bring home a couple pils bottles. The food looked yummy and the large seating area was packed with happy people many playing a trivia game. A large parking lot was easy in and out.

Visited Saturday night. Not very busy and grabbed a seat at the bar. Tried 4 beers - Pure Pils, Dunkel, Weizenbock Dunkel, and Never Say IPA. All were clean and good. Also ordered a two sausage plate. The dunkelwurst seemed dry, but taste was very good and reminiscent of a spicy Italian sausage. Cheddar-Jalapeno wurst was good. I ordered on recommendation by waitress/bartender despite not really caring for cheese in sausage. Jalapeno taste was secondary and no heat was detected. Potato salad seemed like a cold German style and very good. I never tasted anything like it. Kraut was good: nice acidity balanced by sweetness. I really wish they served more kraut at the side. I tried sausage with their spicy mustard and honey mustard. Both seemed standard, but sausages could easily be eaten without the mustard because they were very flavorful. My only disappointment is that I couldn't try one of their pretzels. They looked good! I would return for both the beer and food.

We just stopped by for a quick pint & pretzel but the place was packed for a Sunday arvo. Great space outside to enjoy the day & it looks like they host a lot of fun events. Nice local brewery for KC

Rude staff. Went with a couple after work for happy hour, all the seated tables were full. My group moved to the high top area (which was completely empty) and saw stacked high top bar stools against the wall next to the high top area. We went to grab chairs and we’re snapped at. We put the chairs back, though confused what the chairs were for. The waitress was then incredibly rude and acted exasperated by us for not knowing what we would order within 30 seconds of being there. Very odd/bizarre experience. We left without ordering and went somewhere more welcoming. Side note, we contacted management through their website about our experience and never heard back.

Amazing beer. Consistently some of the best in the area, and specifically if you love their styles. Love the outdoor beirgarten. Fantastic when the weather in nice. The menu seems to keep expanding and has some great options. The parking is limited for the seating available, but if you get there early you should be fine.

KC Bier Company 310 West 79th Street Kansas City, Missouri The perfect place to hang out and socialize with friends when visiting or living in Kansas City, great tasting brews - in particular we love the Helles Lager. Located along the Trolley Track Bike Trail in Waldo for the bicyclist wanting to take a knee and have a cold brew and snack; KC Bier is both great for singles, couples, and Families. Very casual place with friendly service and great food options to accompany a variety of locally in-house brewed beers and wine choices. Open everyday but Monday, I recommend a visit on a weekend evening when they expand their menu to offer Oven Roasted Half Chickens and entertainment. We make a point to sample several of their beers and always load up our table with a variety of German style foods to keep us grounded and nourished while we partake in the beverages. The go to menu items for us to have on our table for all to share are the Bavarian Style Pretzels, Sausages and Brats, Weisswurst and the Curry Wursts. Will need to offer that the Curry Wurst is no way like the original Curry Wurst from Germany - but ohh well, it’s Missouri. For sides we go for the Cucumber Salad, Sauerkraut, and Potato Salads. Really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - even the Plum Streusel is worth a try. Inside seating in the Bierhalle or outside in the Biergarten, either way the beer will be just as cold & tasty and the hospitality above the best!

We took the tour for a friends birthday, then hung out and enjoyed the food and beer for a few hours The tour was absolutely amazing. For a price of $10, most of the people were a bit tipsy and educated on the brewing process. Definitely worth it, and I’m thinking about making this a recurring tour visit. The beers are all great and very purposeful. Whether you’re a novice or a beginner, the education is amazing. Outside of the tour, the staff is on top of it and willing to do whatever it takes for you to have a great experience. I strongly recommend a visit.

This place has a sleek, industrial look to it--not something I'd expect from a German-themed joint. We dropped in for a couple of beers, some wurst (they're okay), and to watch some football on their televisions. Unfortunately, they had turned off the television audio and were playing bland/typical pop music. The entire experience felt very sterile, characterless. I'm a fan of KC Bier's brews, but I wasn't so wowed by this drinking establishment. I have no complaints about the service, and the place seemed extremely clean--hence the four stars.

Their beer tasting room is a little small and lacking in the atmosphere dept., and they've got their gift shop behind the bar so you can't really check out swag without having to have someone help you, which is a bummer, but considering the neighborhood it might be necessary loss prevention. As for the beers, KC Bier Company is easily one of my absolute favorite breweries in town and has been for a while. I haven't had anything from them I didn't like. All their beers have such a clean finish and crisp taste to them, and a nice subtle sweetness. The bartender who helped us was pretty friendly. Ordered a Bavarian pretzel that was a bit dry and nothing special but eh, it's no biggie. The beer more than made up for it. There's a lot of other enticing food on their menu that I need to go back and try, including a plum streusel (strudel?) that smelled amazing when someone else ordered it. They had a trivia game going when we stopped in, so that was fun. I'll definitely be back sometime. So many breweries I'm still trying to get around to visiting!

The tour was fantastic. Jay was enthusiastic and very informative and didn't hesitate answering all our questions. Delicious varieties were served throughout the tour.

Great selection of beers! The menu has a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, which is always great! The pretzel and beer cheese soup was great, can’t wait to come back and try more of the food! They have an indoor and large outdoor section, and tons of events and live music, great polka band there today!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE KC Bier Co! We will walk our dogs down to KC Bier Co & will enjoy a tasty, fresh brewed beer. The menu is limited but has tasty German dishes to snack on. Snag a spot on the patio to enjoy the weather.
