Amazing food and amazing staff! Authentic, delicious Italian food and all of the staff was incredible. We happened upon the restaurant with 3 hungry kids and 4 tired adults. We had no reservations and they were almost full- they let a few of us sit at the bar and the kids at a table. The kids waitress was super sweet (19 year old cute girl) and our bartender/waitress Nicole was the best! Food was delicious, all clearly fresh & homemade. Got to chat with the owner Vito about our great experience and he was nice as well :)

No disrespect intended just an opinion based on my taste. I ordered the lasagna with meatball. The Salas was delicious and you could tell the dressing was made in house. The sauce for the lasagna however was very sweet like horribly so. The only flavor I got was sweet it was very off putting and I would never put that in my mouth again intentionally. The service was excellent and super friendly.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this place was so awful that I feel compelled to write one to hopefully spare the next person from wasting their money on this disgusting food. To begin, the “fresh bread” was literal sandwich bread heated up. The “salad” consisted of half soggy lettuce leaves with ranch dressing on top. I made the mistake of ordering the calamari which had the texture of rubber and was so salty that it was barely edible. The food took forever to come and when it finally did it was the absolute worst Italian food I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the linguine with meat sauce for $21 and it tasted like day old pasta with Prego jar sauce and ground beef that had been microwaved. Even Olive Garden is 10x better than this. I forced down a few bites and then couldn’t eat any more. I came with a large group of people and everyone felt the same. The customer service was okay but couldn’t make up for how bad the food was, especially considering the high prices. I honestly do not understand how this place has such good reviews. Save your money for real Italian food elsewhere!!

Stopped in for a drink and to pass some time. The staff was amazing. They were very attentive, and all my needs were met. The bar drinks were great! Had a long island ice tea, and i can't count how often people mess that drink up! Didn't stay long enough to eat, but the menu looked amazing, and the food smelled really good. Come check this place out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is a excellent Italian restaurant. The food was really good with the lasagna being the best I have ever had! The house Cab wine was also excellent. Overall this is a great place!!

Don't let the exterior fool you, Anthony's is AMAZING! The fresh-baked bread was an amazing opener, especially with Jazz (a mix of olive oil, parmesan cheese, and spices.) My friend tried the sangria made in house and really enjoyed it. All three of us got salads with our entrees and enjoyed them. It's a mix of spring greens with a choice of Italian or ranch, and they bring Parmesan to the table. Our meals were fantastically cooked and spiced. I honestly can't say enough nice things about them food and the staff.

Although it was freezing inside it was a really lovely calm atmosphere. Our waitress was lovely recommended the specials! I snugged a bottle of wine because it was wide Wednesday- totally worth it and definitely recommend. The portions were enormous and well worth the amount paid. We were actually having a private meeting for a event upcoming, this was a nice atmosphere to do so in!

KC Mafia, delicious Italian food, cozy atmosphere, and awesome service was all part of our dining experience. You've got to try it out, if only once. Their calamari appetizer was "keep calm, don't panic if you see a Mafia descendant sitting at the table beside you" delicious.

Traditional American Italian food. Lots of suga (sugary tomato sauce). I opted for a garlic sauce which tasted really really good, however the pasta was so overdone to the point that just stirring it a bit trying to find any chicken turned the noodles into a pile of mush. I didn't really mind as I go there for the vibe. The atmosphere is like time traveling, Frank Sinatra on the speakers, plush button tuck seats, low lighting. I love it. Word of caution if you are allergic to poison ivy, the entire wall in the parking lot (south side of the building) is covered in it. I was so amazed I snapped a picture!

Been ordering carryout and dine-in from this place for YEARS! EVERYTHING is fantastic! Salad is fresh, noodles prepared perfectly, and staff that is there every step of the way! (You'll always get a good tip from me!) I will order from this family run restaurant until I am out of reach.

Great local establishment! Why support a chain restaurant when you can enjoy and support a great local restaurant. Menu is loaded with meals ready to excite your taste buds. Service goes above and beyond to make your dining experience top notch. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Finally was able to pop into the famous, iconic, historic Anthony's on Grand. It did not disappoint! Kelly, our server, had exceptional customer service and very knowledgeable of the menu. The Linguine w/ Sugo was so savory! 🍝 Can't wait to explore more of the menu!

First impressions are always lasting impressions. The wait staff was good, very polite and respectful. But for the fact that My residents and I waited for over an hour for our food was completely unacceptable! We were also not able to eat our food hot. because we had to immediately leave to make our show at the theatre less than two blocks away. My residents still having to pay full price for a meal that they did not order to go! We will not be return to this restaurant.

Came in the night prior. Service to the table was quick. Took a little long for water's to be delivered, then for the waitress to show up to take our orders. We ordered our drinks and appetizer (tosted ravioli), and before we could get onto the main course, the waitress said thanks and did another set of her rounds. Got the appetizer, then 2 minutes later, the drinks. We typically get Jack n cokes at every diner we go to, and I have to say, it tasted like there was a splash and not a full serving. We ordered, and food came out quick. I got the chicken parmesan, and she got the eggplant parmesan. Chicken came out a little overcooked but not bad. Eggplant came out perfect! Overall, decent dinning experience and would come back but not often.

We had a great young man as our servicer. He was very nice, he took great care of us. The serve warm bread with butter, so yummy. ▪︎What put it over the top for me, was when our server brought our bills ( I was with 2 of my co-workers) this young man brought us bags to put our to-go containers in. It may sound strange, but you just don't know. ▪︎I give him 20 ☆'s. ▪︎You don't know how many times, I have had to chase a server down (different restaurants, to get my server for a bag). Someone taught him to pay attention to details. I so truly appreciate this. ▪︎I recommend to stop in, enjoy lunch special or dinner with your family & friends. ♡ The food was yummy. I had the Italian steak sandwich with pasta with Alfredo sauce. ♡

Amazing dinner at Anthony's. We had a 5:30pm reservation, and called ahead to push it 15m which they accommodated without issue. Quick service as we had a theater performance to attend at Music Hall at 7:30pm, and still had time for dessert. Wonderful staff, highly recommended!

The atmosphere was decent considering how small the place is, decor is a little outdated. The chicken was fairly good despite the homemade sauce needing more salt. Surprisingly the broccoli was some of the best I’d ever had. Calamari was pretty good but the homemade peach sangria left a lot to be desired.

Best authentic local Italian restaurant in KC. Had dinner there tonight and Savi was our server. She was very kind, courteous and the food was served promptly. I don’t really care for the sweeter style gravy, but this must be a regional thing because I find it a lot here in the KC area. Good portions and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

Went to Anthony’s for lunch, and it was a great experience. The manager Reid was very nice and greets people well. He has good humor too, but if you don’t get it, just nod and smile. Karina the bartender is just ‘darlin’ and that works too because she calls everyone that. Such a sweet little southern belle, anyway if you go there try the Eggplant Parmesan. It is the best in town in my humble opinion.

Food, atmosphere were very good, service at times was a bit of a issue(though our server was very pleasant) I would like to think maybe everyone has a off day, or was just overwhelmed at the moment? We had olive & cheese app, it was awesome. The main courses we has were chicken parm(wonderful), I had a pasta(angel hair) & chicken the description of the sauce wasn't what I was expecting(I wanted more of a Mediterranean style, but it was good. The side salad was very good. We both took home extra we couldn't eat (that is very rare for me. Over all a good experience, will go back. Darrell C

As someone with Celiac Disease, finding delicious gluten-free pasta can be difficult. Anthony's fits the bills. The Pasta Angela was delicious. The portion was huge. The service was wonderful. You can get any pasta (minus ravioli and lasagna) with gluten-free noodles. I think I found my new favorite Italian restaurant.
