We've been our fair share of microbreweries all over the place. This is one of a kind -- cozy atmosphere, old school curved bar and really terrific staff. Really enjoyed the Black IPA, the Mexican style Cerveza Royale and the Hefeweizen. If you are with friends who don't drink beer or are gluten-free, they serve cider and other cocktails as well. This is a fantastic brewpub next to Kemper in the old Golden Ox Bar.

I was in town for my daughter’s cheer competition at the Hyvee Arena and imagine my suprise when I saw that a brewery was only one block away! Stockyards is located in a nice, quaint area that is as mentioned, a block away from Hyvee Arena. Inside was not open due to pandemic but the patio had a nice amount of seating to enjoy beers on what was a wonderful, sunny day. First the beer. I have to say I was very impressed with the selection and the quality of the beers. Each beer I enjoyed was clean and crisp with great flavors. You can tell that the brewers here are masters of the craft and know what they are doing. Second, the service. The gentlmen pouring beers that day was OUTSTANDING! I am not just saying that because he used to live in St. Paul, GO TWINS. He was an extremly gracious host and I enjoyed chatting with him about his time in MN and the breweries here in the Twin Cities. And lastly, the pace itself. As mentioned, inside was closed except for the restrooms. I did make a visit to the restrooms and I have to say I was very impressed by the place, I hope to come back soon when the inside is open for business. While I was on the patio I couldn’t help but notice the music playing, I was hooked. A quick request to Siri and I found out that the band playing was The Steeldrivers. I have never really listed to that much Bluegrass but the music stuck with me hard. I have listened to nothing since! My visit to Stockyards Brewing left me with two take aways, a happy afternoon enjoying beer on the patio and a new found love of a new to me music genre. I am very glad I visited, the only thing that I am sad about is I did not get a t-shirt (maybe next time.)

Awesome brewery in the West Bottoms in KC- a must try if you haven’t been! Located next to the Golden Ox, there is street parking available and a parking lot located behind it. Beers were about the same price as other breweries in the area, with a great selection of styles and flavors. They also sell growlers, clothing and gear, and they have live bluegrass music on Sunday’s! Loved the vibe inside, which is like if an old western saloon met a modern craft brewery.

This is my favorite brewery in Kansas City. Every style of beer here is world class. The live music was also really good and we wanted to stay the whole week. Food was delicious and the service also super accommodating. Will be back

This review is for the Airport location. The meal was waaaaay overpriced and the portions were extremely small. I ordered the BBQ plate with burnt end add on. They were out of rips unfortunately so I got brisket in addition to burnt ends. To say that what I received on my tray was absolute disappointment! I wouldn’t even call these burnt in they are bland chunks of meat. I will never return to this place and I hope the manangement actually reads these posts and attempts to do a better job. I feel like this place preys on travelers with “Kansas BBQ” and it is nothing like what is in the city

The vibe of the tap room was SUPER cool. It felt like a steakhouse in that all the furniture was nice and the lighting was dim (the bathrooms were also nice). However, unlike a steakhouse the vibe was very comforting and chill. The beers were good. I liked the Hefeweissen and Golden Alt.

Been around to Stockyards a number of times and beer is consistently made well. Holdover decor from former occupant makes it fun. Have to post about the recently released Farmhouse Ale. Best beer I’ve had all year. Truly enjoyed and hopefully it becomes a staple of Stockyards.

Great atmosphere and the cerveza royale is my favorite locally made beer. Fun times with good tunes and interesting people.

FINALLY, someone has mastered a delicious Hefeweizen in KC. The flavor has so much depth… reminds me of top-notch original European Hefeweizen‘s that are difficult to compete with. Thank you to the stockyard brewmaster for bringing me the fulfillment I yearn for in trying new beers!!!!!!

Woah Collin did such a great job with my evening meal tonight! Blown away by his professionalism and candor. Not since the dawn of the dinosaurs as there ever been a more charismatic creature! Please visit his table for a truly evocative experience. Breathtaking.

Made a quick stop here and enjoyed the atmosphere. I’m not much of a beer drinker but the brew I had was quite nice. What I especially enjoyed was the merchandise. From what I could tell they are buying secondhand shirts and attaching their own branding. The result is unique, one of a kind, shirts. Super clever.

Always a good time! Great atmosphere, A+ beer, and a full bar just in case. The Golden Ox is right next door and delivers to the taproom

The farm house ale is AMAZING! And one of the best beers my fiancé and I have had in a long while. We suggest getting it while it’s out!

What a cool vibe! Mix a cowboy saloon with a dj that plays requested old western 45s with local craft drafts and you have a throwback experience worth revisiting. You have to check it out!

Wow, what a gorgeous facility! Classy wood-paneled decor and a very welcoming atmosphere from the moment you sit down. On the beer side I highly recommend the Hef, one of the best I've ever had. Pretty solid saison as well. If you want a snack, the cowboy caviar is divine. Oh and they keep way better hours than a certain Duvel-owned brewery up the street.

Super cool vibe. Original bar has carpet with branding symbols on it. Got great tasters and an excellent pear cider. Love original decor. Very relaxing.
