We visited the park today at the WWI Museum (museum is on a separate review...it's awesome!). The park is pretty nice, and spacious. Plenty of grass and trees too have a family gathering, picnic, jog or just unwind. There's a couple of cool statues and a great view of the city. The grounds were fairly clean except a few areas of broken glass by the parking lot. Overall pretty nice though.

It's always fun hanging out around the park and the Liberty Memorial. The grounds are well taken care of. They put a really nice effort into putting the grounds back together after large events like the NFL Draft. I really wish they would start doing the large concerts there again. Those were fun! #handykc #handy_kc101 #handykcllc

Love this place. Stellar views, nice skate park, cool statue, picturesque scenery. No complaints, really. Come here if you want uninterrupted views of the city skyline or if you love saying, “Do I smell weed? 🤔” The answer is of course, you idiot… Oh! Forgot to mention the very pretty lake just to the northeast of this small park. Very nice seeing the array of colours reflect off of it during a sunset.

Absolutely amazing, I spent the 4th of July there with my family and the view was incredible, you could see all the fireworks in different places of the city. Unforgettable experience, is my first time going there and I would definitely go back, is a good place to spend time with your family, totally recommended. They say you can go up the tower, I'll definitely try that next time I go visit.

Absolutely beautiful park. A large portion of it is dedicated to our Veterans (emphasizing WW1). The museum itself is an amazing testament to our support of a free world. Both sides of the conflict are very well represented, and really helps drive the message home for future generations to not make the same mistakes. I would highly recommend this for any military buff or any general history geek. It's an amazing trip into 1914-18.

What a great place to explore! Make sure you take the time to buy tickets ahead of time and go to the top of the memorial! The views are stunning!!! Lots of other parts of the park to see and take time to read about the history. The tour does not take very long. Everyone is very knowledgeable and kind. There are also concessions inside/food and gifts for purchase. Also lots of places to sit and just take in all of your surroundings.

This is a beautiful park with a small water feature. This well maintained strip of land nestled between Broadway Boulevard and Southwest Trafficway North of 31st Street is a great place to escape and forget you are in the bustling city. The water feature attracts local wildlife and the occasional fisherman. They seem to enjoy themselves even though I've never seen anyone pull a fish from the water. This is a great place to take a leisurely walk, visit the skate park, or look out over the city by the Scout memorial statue. The view of Barney Allis Plaza and the adjoining area of Downtown Kansas City are absolutely breathtaking.

Beautiful and scenic park, and a place to reflect on the contrasting sacrifice and terror of war, and to honor those who serve. Excellent for a peaceful walk and catching a perfect view of downtown Kansas City.

Absolutely STUNNING!! Green lawns, spacious hills, water displays, and filled with AH-MAZING architecture! This park is something else. You can feel the history and the connection. Even filled to the gills with people for a very dope FREE air balloon show, the park never felt too crowded. Thank you, Penn Valley Park, for this girls first Missouri park social 🫶💯🙏✨️

A lovely walk down the Historical site near Kaw Point. It makes you forget about KC for once.... until you look at the skyline and forget the traffic.

Absolutely lovely park! I love the “lookout point” it is a must see day or night rain or shine! Busy skaters and bikers and walkers. Sets alongside one of the most expensive high rise apartments in Kansas City!!! Very Very rarely - if ever see the police at that park! That’s a wonderful thing! 😘😳😵‍💫love love love it here - if u wanna enjoy a lunch a walk or just a quick rest! Or if u skate! Amazing amazing park!

I stopped here that other day just to take a picture at the fountain. The area is very clean and no one was here but me at the time. Well it was 1 homeless guy under the tress cooling off because it was hot out but no problem from him.

Enrichment Festival in Kansas City. The festival is held every year and has grown from its humble beginnings in 1976 to be one of the top ethnic festivals in the nation. It features amazing entertainment, delicious food, great shopping and lots of fun! The festival is held on the third full weekend in August and costs $5 per person over the age of 12 years.

Could use some regular cleaning and upkeep. Broken glass all over is not the greatest for someone on a bicycle.

I absolutely love this park, and I come here numerous times a year and just about a few times a week in order to take pix of the way the trees and nature's changing thru out the year. The KC metro skyline is absolutely phenomenal from the statue that's located past the parking lot and tennis courts. I personally think that it's a rather romantic location as well, and if I ever do find the one that I wanna marry, my plan is to get engaged here as well

WWI Museum area was beautiful. The iconic Scout statue is in a rough area and was saddened by the lack of cleanliness and upkeep in that particular area.

We went to the world war I museum and let me tell you it is breathtaking the amount of detail of everything inside is amazing. The staff is so friendly and willing to help you with anything you need if you've not been there this is a place you need to be very educational I highly recommend spending a day

Lovely place for a stroll early in the morning. Rolling hills with ponds and lots of fall color. Monuments, museums and statuary scattered throughout the park as well as tennis courts and a large dog park. There is traffic through the park but it’s fairly manageable to cross streets when you have to.

We visited this park while visiting Kansas City. The weather was amazing so we enjoyed getting out and getting some fresh air and walking around the park. It was beautiful and well maintained.

Penn Valley Park is quite an amazing site. From the plenty of trail to walk, jog, run and bike. To the amazing scenery and waters to fish. It's a must see if visiting KC and a must revisit to those who reside near.

Perfect picturesque spot to see the KC skyline. Community events are held on the lawn pretty frequently, so I recommend checking the WWI website for the latest updates and information.

Visiting The Scout monument was concerning as park area needs a renovation and security. It is very run down and unsafe to visit. The WWI museum on the other hand is world-class and glad we finally visited. We will go back when more time. I can now understand how and why the war began and who was involved (something school never lit a fire of learning like this place). Many thanks.

Love this place, I am a huge history fan and we have visited many times but every time I learn something new or see something I didn't see before, we tried the tower for the first time absolutely beautiful view of the Kansas city skyline. The park and surrounding area is so pretty just wished it hadn't been so cold and wind so we could have stayed and enjoyed the park a little more. Definitely educational and emotional, if you love history this is a must.

I love going to this park and enjoying the sunsets and being able to see downtown so greatly and just taking some pix. It's usually not extremely busy and it's surprisingly not trashed either. They don't have any kind of playground for the little ones, but they've got a decent skate park, a couple of tennis courts and if I remember correctly they also have a basketball court. I just can't wait for it to warm up again so I can stay out there for a longer time period

Penn Valley Park will always be my home. Im sorry about the trash I drug into the trees. I wanted so much to do better than I did. I hope soon you will all forget me and help each other get it done together. If you ever think about that weird little cross dresser I hope you find something you might smile or laugh about. Have fun playing

Sweet views that include the iconic KC statue 'The Scout'. Has a pretty rad skate park and tennis courts and basketball courts. The only problem is it needs to be maintained a little bit more nicely.

The sun sets are amazing looking over from Missouri to Kansas is the most beautiful thing to witness and to look back Downtown KCMO is a whole different story.

Very calm and peaceful considering it's next to the freeway! You get the beauty of the lake and trees with a view of downtown, you're close to restaurants if you're planning a picnic, and the traffic really isn't too loud. Nice place to rest for a bit.

The park is a great place to see the sunset, or the night views of downtown KC.
