Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. Extremley cosy. When the restaurant fills up it has a great tavern feel to it. It can get a little cold when the door opens but not really a major issue. The food was great and really enjoyed the butcher board and I think that was the largest pot pie i have ever seen. I really like their motto that this is not fast food but good food.

A small getaway in Westport KC. Had the Steamed Mussels for an appetizer (5) Chicken & Veggie Pot Pie (5). Flavors pop right at you with the lightest flaky pie crust, which is a good thing because it will definitely fill your tummy. My table also had the Pan Roasted Chicken on a bed of Green Beans & Mash Potatoes (5). The chicken had a blast of crispy skin flavor that will keep you coming back for more. And if you can find space after all that, try the Bread Pudding (4) with a cup of their coffee (5). Awesome dinner guys keep up the good work, and we will see you in the near future!

A wonderful place! Very busy, even on a Thursday night. We didn't have reservations which is a must here, but snuck into the only bar table there was. This is a place you can plan to be at all night, so sit back and enjoy! Drinks were fun and good! Goat cheese salad was amazing- goat cheese was hot and spread atop french bread. Pot pie could use a little salt + pepper, but the crust was so flaky good and the insides were steaming hot! Just what was needed on a cold night. Short rib was perfect, as were the root veggies that came with. Ended the evening with chocolate chip bread pudding- you have to have it!

My girlfriend and I overall really enjoyed our meal. The space is dimly lit and intimate - perfect for a date night. The chicken cassoulet was delicious and filling. The bread pudding was delectable, though a bit simple. The only disappointing part of the meal was the beef and mushroom pot pie, we both just weren't all too impressed. Otherwise I'd love to return!

My wife and I had the opportunity to eat here on our Dec trip to KC. We like to explore different places to eat that are off the beaten path. We had a wonderful dinner at Pot Pie. The servings were large and fresh. Service was great. We thought the prices were reasonable. In addition, the atmosphere and decor was comfortable and inviting. We would definitely visit there again.

Potpie is an excellent little restaurant with amazing food and perfect cocktails. It is small inside which really adds to the charm of the place. This was my first time eating here and is easily my top 3 favorite restaurants in the kc area. If you like comfort food paired with a cocktail then make a reservation and go, you won’t regret it!

Very cozy restaurant with excellent service and great food. We came here and tried the pot pies, but the rest of the menu looks appealing. Everything was cooked well and was delightful.

Very nice experience. Food was fantastic! We started out with a spinach & brie puff pastry. Our meals were beef pot pie and NY Strip (pictured). Both were delicious! There are also vegan options. We will return!

Probably the best service I’ve had in years. The server took care of the entire restaurant and did it extremely well! The menu is limited but very good. Our group had several different items and all were amazing. Their drinks are also fantastic…I recommend the Hey Rey. Just wished we lived closer as this would be one of our regulars!

PotPie is our "go to" restaurant whenever we're in town. Food is outstanding - I'd crawl back here from Colorado on my knees, for the pan-roasted chicken - the service is great, the atmosphere is cozy ands unpretentious. We love it.

Small restaurant, big crowd, very cozy. The server was so nice with a big smile. We got a small table and she saw us with quite some stuff and switched us to a bigger one. Food was awesome! Everything was tasty. We had three courses and expected a big bill but it wasn't the case at all. Highly recommended!

Great menu, neat location, excellent service! We had a meat/cheese board, the beef mushroom pot pie and our son had the pan grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and our server was attentive and kind. She was hustling as the place filled to capacity within a half an hour. I recommend reservations and parking on the street. The lot behind the restaurant fills and it is extremely hard to get out of.

This place is outstanding! Best potpie you will ever eat! Delicious food with beautiful presentation, delightful atmosphere and friendly staff. You can tell everything is made with love! It is a bit pricey, but it is worth it PLUS you are supporting a local family owned business who supports OTHER family owned business and local farms. I would eat here every day if I could!

The crust on this pot pie was literally so flaky and delicious. As a baker myself I am truly curious how they were able to get their crust to be so amazing. I got the beef and mushroom and my friend got the chicken and vegetable. Both were very good. They also have lots of other things on their menu including fish and steak. It’s a small intimate space so I’d recommend making a reservation especially on the weekend.

We loved our experience at PotPie. We were in town for a long weekend celebrating my Birthday and popped in when we got into KC. It has been years since we have been here. I love the atmosphere and the charm of the old building. The food was great. We ordered the heirloom tomato salad, pork chop, and chicken pot pie. All was fantastic. As were the drinks. I was so impressed with the team. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant and she was incredible. I will say this is not the place to rush in and rush out. The food takes time to prepare and you will not be disappointed in the wait.

The Rustic interior will fool you, the food is first class. I have eaten scallops from Vancouver to Halifax, Seattle to Bangor Maine and these are hands down the best I have ever had. The bread pudding is also excellent. If I could give more stars I would.

Overall we had a decent to nice experience. The food and cocktails were good, but the service at times seemed like we inconvenienced them for being there. The pot pies were well prepared as well as the Confit Chicken Cassoulet. Seating is limited and the space to wait for a table is tight so plan ahead and make a reservation.

I'm a little mixed on the review and have a very specific perspective. The pan fried chicken dish was delicious. But not prepared such that it came out gluten free as I asked. I recognize some folks who ask for GF food are on the diet by choice, as opposed to having a decisive and negative reaction. Our server did double check with the kitchen when I asked about the dish, but I suspect that conversation may have covered ingredients and not preparation processes. When I ordered and requested "gluten free preparation, such as glove changes and isolation" the server nodded their head. In retrospect I think that statement was not heard or not taken seriously. I've not had this quick and negative a reaction in years. The food was good, but not worth the possibility of contamination risk given the restaurant specializes in pot pies (which all looked and smelled fabulous). This is my fault for agreeing to go here with my wife.

The atmosphere was quaint and the staff was very polite. The food did seem a little under seasoned, but was cooked very well. I had the trout and it just didn't have a lot of flavor. The carrot puree it was accompanied by was phenomenal though. The other people in my party ordered the pot pie and added a lot of salt and pepper to their dishes to bring out the flavor. I would give them another chance though.

Loved the quaint atmosphere, the server, and the food! I thought the prices were reasonable. It was a great dining experience from the moment we walked in and were greeted with big smiles and friendly banter to the moment we left with our goody bags. Parking is limited so be prepared for enough time to park. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the menu was written on a huge blackboard in the dining area and the lighting was a little low, making it difficult to read.
