Nice Cozy and Cool restaurant, some of the staff was new to the restaurant business and were a little slow with the service, however everyone was warm and welcoming. The meal had ample portions and very tasty and satisfying. Will definitely be back..

This place is a MUST try! This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Waldo area. It’s a quaint diner with great service and tasty comfort food. One of my favorite things about this place is they serve HOT fresh cinnamon rolls for an appetizer! Totally free! How much better can can it get!? Top notch country style food with a friendly environment. Even though I moved away from this area, I’ll still be coming back for weekend breakfast. You won’t be disappointed!!

I’ve gone to the Neighborhood Cafe in Waldo for years now and I can’t believe I haven’t even reviewed it yet! I am a HUGE fan of places that have free appetizers/snacks & the Neighborhood Cafe outdoes itself by serving free cinnamon rolls. YUMMMM. Every dish is delicious…I’ve never been disappointed. FYI for the brunch drinkers..there is no alcohol. The food is worth it though!

Being fairly new to Waldo I went looking for a local spot for breakfast. I hit the jackpot here which is next to Lew’s. Deana took care of me as I sat at the bar. You get a free cinnamon roll like it’s an appetizer. It was simply the best I’d ever had in my life! Then I had 2 perfectly cooked pancakes with 2 scrambled eggs & bacon. I won’t need to eat the rest of the day. Great food served by great people, what’s not to like?!

I get breakfast here as often as possible, as least 1/month for the past 4 years. They have my fav biscuits and gravy in town, and cinnamon rolls. Love their breakfast tacos (add bacon) too!

We were traveling from Wisconsin back home to Oklahoma and wanted to stop and eat in a locally owned restaurant. We found Neighborhood Cafe online. It was a bit off I-35 in a neighborhood strip mall. As it was Sunday afternoon at 12:15 we had to wait about 15 minutes but the staff was very friendly and visited. After we were seated our server, Phyllis, immediately took our drink orders and we got a complimentary plate of homemade cinnamon rolls. They were delicious. I ordered the turkey, swiss avacado sandwich with homemade chips. The sandwich was good but the chips were delicious. My husband got the fire burger, which made his head sweat but he said was very good. Many people were ordering breakfast and it looked very good also. It was a fun neighborhood cafe.

Great place to eat. It's definitely been added to our list of places to repeat. They bring warm cinnamon rolls when you first sit down. The service is always excellent and friendly. It's obvious people come here regularly and it's not surprising. They have a good quality menu with a good variety of breakfast and lunch items. Excellent food and nice sized portions. Absolutely worth the money.

What an incredible place! Last month we visited KC from the UK to visit some friends and we visited the Neighbourhood Cafe twice during our stay. The food was just delicious, good portion sizes and the free cinnamon bun was the icing on top! We had the country breakfast on our first visit, and then my other half tried the eggs benedict on his second visit, whereas I had the same, but with a side of French toast. The lovely lady who served us was incredible too!

Looking for a local place for breakfast while we were in town and ran across this place. WOW! It was wonderful. Plenty for food for what you pay and the cinnamon rolls that they bring to your table are the best! Some of the biggest biscuits I've ever had. Highly recommend if you are in town!!

Was looking for a different place to try breakfast and stumbled in here. We was greeted and promptly seated, and then when our drinks were served, the waitress also put 2 fresh cinnamon rolls on the table. They were fresh and hot with yummy frosting on them. Our food was served hot and almost the way we wanted. My wife's eggs were not as done as ordered, but she took them like a champ. Great experience overall.

Formerly neighborhood cafe? The sign seems to be a banner taped over the old sign, but dont be discouraged. This place is great! Ordered the country omelet, coffee, and water. These ladies were on top of refreshments! The food was amazing, plenty for the price. Cinnamon rolls are complimentary starters, and they were amazing!

Where's Waldo Cafe? In KC Waldo area! Home of the free cinnamon roll!! Super friendly neighborhood place that is a melting pot of all walks of life. From the greeter to the server you feel welcome. The star is the food offerings, big portions, great prices. Loved the Country breakfast- you get two meats, mountain of hash browns, two eggs. For my drink cranberry juice which is hard to find anywhere. Great people watching place to catch up with friends.

We tried this place for the first time today. We will definitely be back. We went at 11am on a Sunday. There was a 20 minute wait, no problem. We were seated and greeted promptly. They delivered us some hot and delicious cinnamon rolls, which were really good. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. All of the food was hot and delicious. I had the corned beef skillet. They make the corned beef and slice it to order. The basted eggs were perfectly runny and the Hollandaise sauce was perfect. The only knock on the place is it was a little dirty but they were probably busy earlier and just hadn't cleaned up yet. The prices were really good too. We've found a new place for breakfast/brunch.

Invite some friends over to eat at neighbor's cafe they truly enjoyed it. I've always had a good meal there no matter what time of day. lunchtime it's a little crowded but otherwise there's plenty of seating. True home-style cooked food. The free cinnamon roll is always a kicker.

First time visiting. Has a small town diner feel to it where everyone seems to know each other. They serve you a free cinnamon roll upon arrival that comes hot and it's super yummy. As far as the food I would say it's just okay nothing that's going to blow your mind. I would go back!

My daughter wanted to eat here because she heard you got free cinnamon rolls to start out with, which in my opinion was the best thing we ate. They were very good and definitely outshined our pancakes. My daughters came out a little overdone so I gave her one of mine. The hash browns I would definitely ask for crispy next time they had a buttery flavor too which I didn't really care for. The service and coffee were great. She was very attentive while still being busy and kept my coffee topped off.

This was my 3rd time going.. I LOVE love the cinnamon rolls! Today my food was a little off.. generally I have no complaints... I just feel like.. if bacon gets beyond a certain point...unless they asked for it this way.. it shouldn't be served. And im thinking maybe they thought ham was suppose to be on it.. cause there was some pink stuff mixed with the eggs 🤷🏽‍♀️.. Ill be back... hopefully this is just a one time thing.

Although this place was more packed than usual, because of Fathers' Day, it was totally worth the wait! Not only was the food great as always, but I want to compliment the staff, in particular our server, April. My daughter has severe food allergies, which makes trying new places a challenge. Not only did April promise to speak directly with the cooks to convey the seriousness of our issue, but since my daughter couldn't enjoy a cinnamon roll, our server brought her some fruit so she wouldn't feel left out. Thanks Neighbor Cafe, you continue to impress and April went completely above and beyond for our family!!!

The Neighborhood Cafe has the best cinnamon rolls in town and the service is amazing! I have been to the location in Waldo numerous times and have always had a wonderful experience. Sam, Phyllis, Dena, April, Amanda, and Jennifer all work together as a fantastic team. I personally love the Cheese omelet and I practically get it every time I visit. I definitely recommend this place!

My first breakfast place when I arrived in KC :) Delicious eggs, huuge and soft pancakes with a butter on them and can’t forget turkey sausages on a side. Theirs ice tea was also tasty, always go with unsweeted version 💜

Small mom and pop shop. They bring a warm cinnamon roll to your table before they take your order. That was a pleasant surprise. Food was great and the portions were rather large. I can't remember my waitresses name but she was wonderful. I could tell she takes pride in serving her customers. So well actually that I assumed she was the owner. I'll definitely be back next time I'm around!
