Their new place is located in the same lane and its difficult to get parking, so if you are in a car you will have to park in the nearby lanes. Try to avoid going during rush hours. The new look is superb and way better than the previous one. Space for customer dealing would get crowded during festival seasons. Now for the products, I am only going to review the items I purchased on Christmas. The almond and coconut toffees were delicious, a bit sweet, but then they are supposed to be sweet with a milky taste. My kids loved them and they were all over in a week's time. So were the marzipans, they were just perfect, quantity a bit less but I understand with the rise in prices. As for the cakes, I loved the Plum cake, not too much dry fruit which is alright with me otherwise I don't like the rich and filled ones. Disappointed in the coconut cake which happens to be my favourite Christmas treat. It was yummy no doubt but it dried up pretty fast, maybe I didn't store it properly or something, but we had to finish it fast and no one minded that part. For those of us who don't know how to make these treats I think its a great place to buy, I found their prices pretty reasonable and I was satisfied with the quantity as well. I heard their hot cross buns are also awesome, will be trying them this year and will be sure to write a review.

It is a bakery, not so big, run by Muslims. And it is the most sought after bakery for hot cross buns. The recipe, as the owner Haider Abbas tells me, is secret and over 70 years old. Every year, around the time of Good Friday there are queues waiting for their hot cross buns. They have several other bakery items too but their hot cross buns are the most popular. And they cost only slightly more than 'one a penny, two a penny' :)

Misquita Bakery is the best karak bread shop in Saddar. The bread found here is the best and tastiest in Karachi. Their bakery product were good but now they add sub standard ingredients like butter is not used what is used feels like we are eating fat. Which is dangerous for health. Their snacks like samosas rolls etc are not to my liking. Feel sad when people compromise on their product it will harm their business as people are not fools. The hot cross buns are one of the best and come Holy Thursday, Good Friday the rush at this Bakery says it all. People who are in the Bakery business should stick to the products they are good at, prefect it and satisfy the customer. Their new shop is beautifully done and everything is displayed very well.

We went on Easter to try their famous Hot Cross Buns that they make only a few days each year. Absolutely loved them! I'm so glad we got a big batch. The bakery is so reminiscent of days gone by.... in old Karachi!

This ancient bakery in the heart of the characteristic Saddar area, sells the most awesome plum cake, rich and moist. I got to know about it by someone at work some months back and a regular ever since. The bakery itself is spanking clean which never fails to pleasantly surprise me. Sheheryar the owner i believe, is polite and very customer oriented as is the staff. The cake is a must-try for all who love sinking their teeth into a dark velvety dark fruit cake. For 1,100 bucks for a large cake, its great value for money.
