At mezzanine level inside Movenpick Hotel, this place serves a traditional Pakistani food with the themed traditional ambiance. The best thing i find is Hala themed Crockery, a thousands of years ago traditional Plates which gives a really aesthetic touch. The food choice includes all local dishes. Once you settle they serve complementary crackers, salad along with raita and variety of Achars (Pickles). Food quality is great having the live cooking station in background. Staff is very courteous and helps ordering the right food. They have discounts on different Credit cards. We enjoyed the evening and over all its a wonderful experience.

Had a great time. Lovely ambience with live music. Super cooperative manager who seated us last minute on a Saturday. Service is excellent. Food was great. We tried the Chef special Balochi mutton karhai, butter chicken and the malai boti. The parata was the BEST. Must try. The chutneys accompanying the food were delicious too. Dessert was alright- could be better. Will definitely visit again.

Well this was my 5th visit here, but i must say they are not as good and tasty which was year back. Disappointed visit where service was not good might they had house full situation. On food side platter was okay with taste and mutton pishawari karhae was mixed with chicken in it which wasn’t expected at this high class spot!

The chicken handi and plain rice dish at [Restaurant Name] was a delightful experience. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection, immersed in a flavorful, creamy tomato-based gravy that had just the right balance of spices. It was a perfect blend of rich and savory flavors. The plain rice served alongside was fluffy and complemented the chicken handi excellently. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal. The service was attentive, and the ambiance added to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend trying this dish if you visit" The Pakistani ".

Best dinner we have had in Pakistan. One would expect Pakistani food to be subpar at a 5 star restaurant but “the Pakistani” @ Movenpick did a phenomenal job. The mutton chops are a must have. Mouth watering, juicy and tender! Pervaiz was an excellent host - much appreciation for him.

I ordered some vegetable soup and asked our waiter if it was vegan. I clarified what vegan means. I asked him specifically if the soup had any meat in it. He said no. Then they brought me the soup with meat in it. I did not eat it. Then they came up to me and asked if something was wrong with my soup. So I said them what was wrong. They replaced the soup and once again they brought a soup with meat!! Terrible. I left the soup untouched. The rest of the food was good but nothing special. The ambience is cozy.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Pakistani Restaurant in Karachi, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that immediately made me feel at home. The first thing that struck me about The Pakistani Restaurant was its extensive and diverse menu. It's a true culinary journey through the rich and flavorful cuisine of Pakistan. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or looking to explore something new, this restaurant has it all. From aromatic biryanis to succulent kebabs, from hearty nihari to the freshest seafood, every dish was a masterpiece. I had the pleasure of trying their signature biryani, and it was an explosion of flavors in every bite. The fragrant rice, tender meat, and perfectly balanced spices created a harmonious and memorable dining experience. It's no wonder why this dish is so celebrated in Pakistan. The attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes is also worth mentioning. Each plate is a work of art, showcasing the vibrant colors and enticing aromas of Pakistani cuisine. The use of traditional utensils and serving platters adds to the authenticity of the dining experience. The service at The Pakistani Restaurant was impeccable. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also eager to help with recommendations and accommodating special requests. They made sure that every guest felt valued and well taken care of. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The decor reflects the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan, with beautiful artwork and traditional motifs adorning the walls. In addition to the outstanding food and service, The Pakistani Restaurant also offers a wide range of beverages, including refreshing lassis and a variety of teas. The traditional desserts are a sweet ending to a delightful meal, and I highly recommend trying their kulfi or gajar ka halwa. In conclusion, The Pakistani Restaurant in Karachi is a gem that deserves to be celebrated. Whether you're a local looking for a taste of home or a visitor eager to explore Pakistani cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. The dedication to preserving the authenticity of the cuisine, the warm hospitality, and the incredible flavors make it a dining experience that you won't soon forget. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delicious offerings.

The Pakistani, located in Movenpick, recently really improved the food quality yet my last experience was terrible, service wise. First it took them really long to bring our food, then after our food was here, it took them another 30 minutes to bring out the naan. Ultimately, we all ended up having the food instead of just sitting and waiting for the naan, that was brought to us after we were done eating. They should either hire more people or lessen the tables if they can’t handle a big crowd. This was one of our favourite places to go to, after the food quality was improved but unfortunately, this was our last visit.

The food was middling. The grilled jumbo prawns ordered were cold. The grill barbecue plate was average. The Mutton karahi was reasonable. The paratha was excellent. The green tea ordered was made from a Lipton teabag (why not brew real green tea?) The food was okay but did not justify the prices. If the food was half the cost then the restaurant would deserve 5 stars. The service was excellent. The waiters were courteous and attentive.

Came here with my partner and we were super impressed by the ambiance & design of the place. The night we arrived they had live music. The menu is extensive with fabulous paskistani food that is cooked in an open kitchen. The tandoori breads are freshly made (amazing) we had the fish & a biryani both were outstanding. For a biryani, fish dish, potato parata & drinks we paid only $25 in total such a great price for a hotel restaurant.

Have always enjoyed the Pakistani restaurant since Sheraton times and now that the hotel has become Movenpick, the restaurant still has same touch and design which is great. Food menu choice is good and delicious. Some service points were missed e.g. hand wash water was not served and I assume may be because of Covid? Also there was no paan (Beetle leaf) offered and end of the dinner as well. Otherwise great embrace and service. Thank you.
