A very calm and peaceful visit to the main residence of Quaid e Azam. All room are still alive as someone is living here i.e. bed room, dressing room, dinning hall, breakfast table, sofas, dinning rooms, pictures on wall, crockery, shoes racks etc. A bright, well lit, airy home structure can be observed with lawns, galleries and car parking. Many gifts from different countries and decores received by Jinnah family are still there. The visit is free on saturday and sunday. Cloeing time is 4pm. You can find expert guides here who can tell stories of place.

Quaid E Azam's Residency is a place to visit if You're visiting Karachi. It gives You some true feelings how our Quaid lived in the past. They have some real belonging of the Quaid and Fatima Jinnah. They somehow renovated the entire building which gives a new and fresh look at the residency. The very own cars used by Our Quaid and Fatima Jinnah are still placed in the premises. The timings to visit the residency is from 8am till 6pm. There is no entry ticket at gate which is good though, so You can visit it for free. You cannot take pictures inside the building of Quaid's and Fatima's belongings but You can click some stutters from the outside.

The Quaid-e-Azam House Museum in Karachi offers a captivating insight into the life of Pakistan's founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Preserved with meticulous detail, the museum showcases Jinnah's living quarters, personal belongings, and memorabilia. Visitors can explore his home, learn about his vision for Pakistan, and gain a deeper appreciation for his role in history. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Pakistan's heritage and the legacy of its founding leader.

Quaid's House, now turned into a museum, is beautifully maintained. It has an auditorium which is used for various ceremonies. Plus it also serves as a picture gallery. Moreover a benz and a cadillac (used by Fatimah Jinnah) are also preserved and available for public viewing. Various plaques havd been placed at different spots offering unique information about the place. Moreover alot of items under use of Quaid and Fatima Jinnah are also preserved and available for public viewing for e.g. Utensils, furniture items, items of personal use etc. It is a must visit place for all Pakistanis.

Quaid House Museum is a beautiful Victorian style building that contains many of the personal belonging of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The building is a beautiful architectural specimen of its time and one is fascinated to see many of the personal belongings, including furniture, crockery, dresses etc that remained in use of Mr. Jinnah and his sister Fatima Jinnah. The whole setup gives a very good idea of the life in 1940s and 1950s. The caretaker is a very knowledgeable person with comprehensive knowledge of history and facts / figures related to the construction / upkeep of the building. Considering the fact that Govt. of Pakistan only spends Rs 6000/- (US $ 60/-) per month for the maintenance of the museum, the caretaker and his staff are doing a wonderful job in maintaining the facility in a reasonable shape. However, the museum certainly needs attention of the Govt. of Pakistan / Govt. of Sind. The museum is a great source of education for the children & elders alike and certainly needs to be better maintained.

Quaid’s personal house and as per guide it was in his use from 1947, which he purchased around in 1943. The front entrance is closed and guide takes you to the house from back door. It is amazing and you feel yourself in Quaid’s era. Most of his personal belongings are kept safe inside which includes his bed, drawer, utensils , study table, Quran Majeed etc and many other things. Outside the building there is kitchen as well. Photography is strictly prohibited. Although You can take pictures outside the museum. Overall worth visiting, specially if you love history.

Built in 1850s by British and bought by Quaid e Azam sahab in 1940 for 150,000 rupees with his own money, lies an architectural marvel right at the start of Shahrah e Faisal -- the backbone of Karachi. Photography is not allowed inside the building that recently got the renovation completed in 2018 on the original style and decoration. Inside the main building are the bedrooms of Mr. Jinnah and his sister Ms. Fatima Jinnah alongwith reading, guest and dining rooms that are spacious, airy and well-furnished. There are servant rooms near the (once) horse stable (now a library), a big kitchen in the middle and guest rooms on the right. Quaid's cars were also renovated from the dust and rust and shows the class he had at that time. Opened on Saturdays, no tickets required.

Each and every employee of the museum is continuously intimating against using of cameras. My family didn't like their attitude on this point. Its only a quids furniture there so why can't we take pics or make a video as we do in mazar e quid. They spoiled our trip that's all.

Someone with apparently poor taste has tried to renovate it. The results are... unflattering. The building creaks and you can feel the ceiling fan rotating right under your feet when you are on the same spot on the upper floor.

in addition to the house (its interior seems frozen 70 years ago) visitors can also admire Jinnah's cars, a impressive Cadillac and a Mercedes

Quiet and historic place. However, it's been renovated from the original version

  • 4/5 Mack A. 2 years ago on Google
It was a wonderful experience. I touched the door handles, locks and drawers where once Quaid's and Fatima Jinnah's hands were placed. The feelings can't be explained. It can only be experienced. I realized how little as a nation have we delivered to the Nation and our Country. However photography inside rooms and halls was not allowed which I believe should be allowed.

25April2022: Visited for the first time along with a long time friend who has keen interest in history and culture, Mr Shoaib Danish Khan who is the Administrator of our Diplomatic Business Club as well. The huge house converted into museum was mostly in use of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah till 1965. The house is well maintained and an excellent opportunity to recall history and feel the presence, rather absence of our beloved Quaid (leader), founder of a different Pakistan than the existing one. The Quaid e Azam Museum House is open from Thursday to Tuesday from 9 to 4 p.m. There is no Entry fee, no bookings required. Parking space is at the nearby Frere Hall. Photography inside the main building is not allowed but one can take as many pictures in the green lawn. The staff is friendly and will provide free guided tour, also showing 2 vintage luxury vehicles Cadillac and Mercedes parked there. The house was purchased by the Quaid in 1943 i.e. 2 years before independence of Pakistan for more than Rs 100,000, clearly showing he was a rich man much before came into power. Not like today's Sharifs, Zardaris, Chaudhries, Jams, Soomros, Chandios, Jatois, Mirs, Shahs, Maliks and Khans etc. The tour usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. Courtesy: BB Health Tours, Karachi

Bring your passport and go for the place. If you are solo traveler, soon a person will appear to guide you through exhibition. It's nice, but my guide was in such a rush, we finished all in 10min... I would appreciate some alone time, but I guess that's the nature of their work

The Quaid-e-Azam House Museum holds immense historical significance as the former residence of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Preserved with utmost care, this museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to step into the personal life of the great leader. The house showcases the furniture, belongings, and photographs that belonged to Quaid-e-Azam, providing a humbling experience and a deeper understanding of the vision for Pakistan. A visit to this museum is a must for those seeking to connect with the history and legacy of Pakistan's founding father.

This place is still unknown and underrated, but located in the centre and worth visiting. One who stays in the hotels can easily reach three of the amazing spots nearby this place too. If you think you are a history lover, and want to see how Quaid-e-Azam contributed and used to live. It's a must visit.
