I highly recommend Muay Thai training at Mai Karon. My boyfriend and I have been in Thailand for 3 weeks, doing a combination of fight camps, group training sessions and drop in privates across various gyms in Thailand. After our private session today we both agreed that this was the hardest session we'd done to date! The trainers were knowledgable and really pushed us the entire time which we both loved. The gym was extremely organized, welcoming and clean. I noticed that a lot of the reviews for the gym are from beginners, so want to also add that this gym is fantastic for more intermediate and advanced students. Wish we were staying longer to return!

If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. I have been training here for the past 5 weeks and I have seen incredible improvement in my ability to confidently defend myself as a solo female traveller. With each class I improved a ton and I can really notice the difference in only a few classes. I loved how encouraging he was when I was doing a good job. We had a lot of laughs but still trained very hard. I was always so happy to be there and I’m going to miss this place so much!! Recommended even for beginners, you will be proud of yourself by the end…guaranteed!! Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience 🤗

My 3 kids (13, 10 and 8) starting Muay Thai kick boxing ~9mths in Singapore and continuing their training on a weekly basis in Chicago. In Phuket for a holiday, we wanted to train at a few gyms, and Mai Karon Muay Thai was fairly close to our hotel. Wow. Very impressed. The instruction was of a pretty high caliber. The instructor was very patient in analyzing their kicks and punches. More importantly, he told them what they were doing wrong and how it should be corrected. And what they were doing correctly and should do more of. Very encouraging and positive instruction. My kids had a great work out (were sweating like crazy and exhausted), had a lot of fun, and improved their Muay Thai kick boxing techniques. Win win win. Highly recommend.

Great place for Muay Thai introduction, had a lot of fun. Good workout and right on the beach too, trainers were great and very patient for a first timer like myself.

As a group of 3, we trained for almost 2 weeks in Mai Karon. We had people of all levels of experience, from people who had been training Muay Thai for years to first-timers. The coaches were patient with those who were inexperienced and challenged the more experienced. The feedback they gave was very useful and has really helped me gain more confidence and improve my skills. I would recommend this place to anyone in Karon, particularly considering its great location.

First time training in Thailand. This gym is great, trainers are super talented and the staff were so friendly. My partner has no experience and also has never put on gloves or even thrown a punch and she had a blast! Highly recommend this place for all levels. Thanks again!

One of the only few gyms located near the beach. This gym is located just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Karon beach. I felt like this they are put slightly more emphasis on physical conditioning than others I visited, which is a good thing. And if you want to improve technique, there are also very experienced coaches who seem to genuinely love what they do. I have never seen anyone so happy when you throw a technique :)

The one-on-one training was amazing. It's something almost mandatory if you love martial arts. How beautiful is it to train with a pro in the land of Muay Thai? It was a combination of everything, and despite the heat, the trainer provided so much motivation and strength to push yourself to the limit. Highly recommended for everyone. Quality for anyone who wants to deep dive into the world of Thai boxing. The coaches are top notch and can easily tell only 5 minutes into your session that you’re in good hands for your training. Everyone is so welcoming and I would highly advise it for anyone at any level of training in fight sports to give it a go.

I totally recommend this place! Great training sessions, amazing atmosphere and wonderful, experienced trainers. It was a pleasure training here. It was my first, but for sure not the last time visiting "Mai Karon" gym. Must have to visit while being on Karon at Phuket.

Trained at a number of the camps in Phuket over the years and loved this one. Coach Aoska was great wish I got more time with him but I was on a family holiday. I brought my partner and 5 year old boy in and the gym was great with them, getting them both training.

I know Phuket has a lot of Muaythai Gyms, but Im so glad I went to visit Mai Karon. They are super welcoming and very friendly. The gym is so nice and well equiped. The coaches are supportive and teach you a lot of good techniques. If you like Muaythai, dont leave phuket before train at Mai Karon! 🙏🙏🙏

What an amazing experience! I booked a private session for myself and my dad. It was my first time trying Muay Thai and I was able to learn a good variety of moves, conditioning and more. The warm up alone was a great workout :) I found the trainer to be very professional and knowledgeable, who provided great feedback during the lesson. Honestly I would recommend this studio to anyone who is thinking of trying Muay Thai, I wish I was in Thailand for longer so I could attend more here!

So happy to have been training here during our two week vacation in Phuket! Have been training kickboxing and other martial arts for years, but the trainers here just have a different level of experience than most other places with hundreds of fights each. Great atmosphere and attentive, kind coaching in both private and group trainings. Highly recommend!

Clean and spacious gym with pretty new and neat equipment. Just 10mins walk from the Karon beach roundabout. Did 1 private class. Learnt so much. The instructor is so experienced and he patiently adjusted my postures and fighting skills. I will come back for group training next time, for more powerful and efficient real fight techniques. As we all know walking in to any gym for the first time is daunting experience however friendly pro instructors, really nice owner at Mai Karon Muay Thai gave a fantastic welcome and put me and others at ease straight away so we jumped in to training mode and off we went. Very good English spoken by all, really enjoyed all the sessions so far from pad work, bag work to ring work it’s been really really fun and educational and learn something new every day. Location is Insane as only a few hundred meters from the beach they also have all equipment if you don’t take your own that’s all clean and good condition, the mats, ring and bags are clean and again mint condition, so what’s not to love ❤️, it’s a 5 star review from me, thank you 🙏 guys for letting me train at Mai Karon Muay Thai 🙏
