Dont even has value of 1star. ..i ordered mughal mutton biryani. It was 1600 for 2set and it was not even worth of 300 nepali currency. Its was pathetic experience on having the food of this place. They served cold and mutton was like boiled and kept in rice. Worst worst biryani of my life i would recommend no one to order the biryani over here. Didnt mean to harm their business but its one of worst biryani i had. Though in 2072 they really had a awesome taste, which dragged me again.

It was around 2-3 PM we went for lunch and there were people having lunch and one of our side table finish his lunch and he want to have a cigratte in his own table but in another table they were people i think they are indian the way they speak rudely to do not smoke while they are having lunch however i could not resist that behave of that customer and i ask waiter that is it smoking zone or not ? And i told him how could they speak to other customer like that !! He didnt have answer For rating Food was okay Management behave with depen on customer how they look ! Management is i didnt like it at all Ps: it was SMOKING ZONE Area I have bills and eye witness to clarify to the owner of that restaurant !!!

Good place, ok food. But they charge extra 10 % as service charge. And 13 % as vat. Total of 23 % for food is very high. As per government they can't charge 10% service charge. To customer. I requested to be removed but they didn't. At the end had the worst experience. 5 star is for the food.

butter chicken was delicious but the butter naan was nothing to shout about. It is on the pricier side compared to other eateries in Kathmandu. Live music is a tad loud but overall ambience is rather welcoming :).

Cool place but too loud. Pros: 1. Easily accessible 2. Decent food 3. Affordable 4. Very polite staff. 5. Live music Cons: 1. No parking. You gotta park besides main road. Take your chances. 2. Tooooo loud live music. It kind of gets in the way of your vibe . 3. Some food items took way too long and was way too dry. Summary: if you want a quick bite with your buddies. Go ahead. It's fun when you are with guys who are loud and bold. However, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful dinner with your romantic other or even with your family....I would suggest you look elsewhere. And keep parking in mind. Because half the time I was there, my mind was focused on parking, tickets and traffic.

Literally the worst staff service i have encountered in my life. The first time I ordered the food from phone they cut me off which was rude, again, the second time i called them to order and told me they would call me after 5 minutes after ordering the food but again the staff lied in the phone and told me that i have not ordered the food but i clearly told him to call me after the oder is ready.

I had a delightful experience at the restaurant. The naan and chicken korma were delicious, and the mutton biryani was truly impressive. The chicken sheekh kebab was flavorful, and I ended the meal on a high note with a satisfying hot chocolate.

ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING. (Had to feed it to the stray dogs) Last night i ordered there combo from pathao. 3 items came 1. Chicken Lollipop = weirdly sweet, extremely red and unfresh chicken. 2. Patiala Chicken = Worst curry ever. Watery consistency, looked like a random person with zero knowledge about food made it. How do you even eat that with naan. And a Omelet in a curry. Seriously. 3. Chicken Biryani = Highly Disappointing. ( Had heard a lot) First of all it was not a dum biryani. Thick, uncooked, curdy, saltless, flavourless, chicken gravy with coloured rice on top that too cheap quality.

I am very happy with the food served. We ordered mutton kabab and tandoori chicken in the beginning. KABAB has very nice texture and tasty. Chicken tandoori is one of the best in Kathmandu. We also ordered chicken biryani and mutton biryani. Both items are so much delicious we ordered lassi which is not good. Thats why I have four stars.

Food is good. You need to put little effort to get noticed by the staff. I feel the girls are not that trained so they need to learn. Live performance is offered. But the female singer needs to be changed. I tried North Indian food which was good. It's on the main road so approaching this place is easy.

I've had a both good and bad experience and I expect a reply from Mughal team about this. When we go to the restaurant and eat there the food, it's quality, taste, quantity all are very good. But when it's a take out or ordered online then the food quality and quantity isn't as good as they serve when you go there physically. I've had this experience quite alot. Why is this?

Told them specifically to add more of non colored rice for biryani ( which they had done before to me )in a pathao delivery and they do give sometimes non colored rice portion in a biryani if demanded but this time while I mentioned it to them specifically,they gave me a biryani parcel with more spices and more colorful rice than the normal one .I suggest maybe the restaurant should pertain to basic courtesy of not doing this and listen to customer's voice . Really ruined my dinner

Ordered Mutton Biryani, but didn't like the taste.

Loved the food and ambience of this restaurant. They have other branches also but I visited Lazimpat brach. Live orchestra was there and food taste was nice. Staffs are very prompt in service. It is value for money to visit and chill out. I was there 2 times and enjoyed. They serve nice chilly items and Afgani cuisine. Kabab item was also good. Overall nice place and near to Radisson and Ambassador hotel.

Biryani is pathetic lacking flavour amd chicken which was moreover like boiled. Worst biryani I ever had. I would prefer jaulo over it. Also ordered akbari khas tandoori. Completely dry AF. Never ever recommending to anyone. Worst experience. It was a takeout from Pathao. Arrived from lazimpat branch. I am having hard time ordering biryani from anyplace now.

Nice restaurant with live karaoke music is there. Can be enjoyable with friends and family. Staffs are very co-operative. Food is good.

Food is ok. They say they are halal but actually not halal. Hall staff are trying to serve customer but not trained well then could not reach customers expectation.

Ordered biryani and it was undercooked rice. On request to replace, they say it should be this way. After having biryani at most famous restaurants all over Nepal, they try to cover their mistakes as customers know nothing and easy to fool them. Worst biryani I had ever had in my lifetime. Over decorations and lightings is not what customers come for Mr Proprietor. Please take care of the food that's what we pay for. Not recommended restaurant at all. Readers never for this restaurant. Money wasted !!!!...

Probably the Best Indian restaurant I’ve been in Kathmandu.really good food, price in this location is also ok but I find Music in here always too Loud !! As it doesn’t have a lot of Dining space I think they should turn town then music when it they done have a lice music!

The biryani there is always mouth watering. But ,this time I find it little dry. Yet , the authenticity was still intact. The service staff are very good at service, very polite. Live music added fuel to the ambience, not the vibrant colour but it was amazing, a must try at mugal empire is there gajar ko Haluwa. It melts at your mouth , such a amazing taste and added dry fruit , there is no turning back at this.

Very good food. Worth to pay for hygiene & quality food. A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order. Best Indian food I have had in Nepal, especially briyani....

Can't compare Briyani of Mugal Empire to any other places in the valley..also the staffs are so friendly...however, they should work on expanding space..

the rate of food items is higher. for example the rate of water bottles is itself high, then they added the 10% service charge and 13% govt tax . the rate of water bottle will be nearly 96 per bottle. is it affordable and reasons price??

We visited last month for a dinner, we ordered biriyani, rice, and parata meal with mutton, vegetables and daal. Among these items we like the parata most, we reorder. Most people come to enjoy the biriyani, my rating 7/10, for parata 9/10. There is small bar inside the restaurant. Most important if you are looking for Helal food in thamel, this restaurant is serves Helal food. After meal we smoke inside and have some drinks, around 9pm, they play live song with karaoke.

The place is good to spend time with your loved one, friends, and family. The special dishes here are Indian and Arabic. The Mughal Special Biryani was good as expected Biryani. While, Chicken Sheek Kabab was not so good and less in quantity compared to its cost. No Parking Space is available, we need to park on pedestrian way of Lazimpat and its called "Safe Parking" by their staffs. I recommended to try Biryani if you want try new taste. One word i.e. Disappointment. Not worth the money you are paying.. Ordered their chicken sizzler and it was nothing compared to a sizzler. Also their side salad has too much of salt.

Very good Indian good. They have a singer singing Hindi songs on track. The singer could be less loud, but that's just my opinion.

If you are looking for typical Indian cuisine them don't miss this place. The best I recommend is Kashmiri naan and chicken korma. Food is very delicious
