Yala hotel was the first place I stayed in Nepal and it was my best experience so far. I love the people there sooooo much. They are so friendly, helpful, cheerful, supportive and patient all the time. And they tried their best to offer the best service to make my stay there happy and comfortable. The staff Isha, Mangal, Milan, Aashish, they were so good to me, always helped me with everything I need. When I was very sick, and Isha accompanied me to see a doctor and Aashish also tried to make Chinese porridge for me. And Mangal boiled water and took it to me, and offered me another blanket. I felt Yala is like my family in Nepal and because of all the lovely people there I met and my stay is so beautiful and warm. And even these lovely people hang out with me to show me the interesting and beautiful places in Kathmandu and made my traveling experience more special and fun. Except the staff there are great, the bosses Durga and Kurmar are also so good. We had nice chat about the hotel, trekking, and Nepal. They are always helpful whenever I need help. And also the food at Yala cafe is wonderful too and I always talked to the co-chef Aashish about the order I was going to have and tell him the requests I had , also asked how he would cook it. And after I finished the food, he also always asked me about the feedback. Yala is the best place I’ve stayed in Kathmandu and I love the people there a lot.

It was a pleasant stay for 4 nights. All the person were very polite and respectful. Even though the price of the room was affordable and this hotel is in centre of thamel area. Please do visit this hotel during your visit in KTM. Highly recommended ….

We stayed multiple times at Yala Peak and every time we loved it more. The staff greeted us with big smiles and a cup of tea and helped us with everything if we asked! Also the food at Yala Peak Café/Garden is amazing, also great for vegan people. the two waiters that served us each time were super friendly and we always had a great chat with them! Prices are totally reasonable and rooms are also always clean and comfortable. Totally recommend 💕

Yala Peak Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in KTM. The hotel staff is very warm welcoming and extremely friendly. They help you with everything what you need. The restaurant provides you with great food. Rooms are clean and calm although the hotel is in the heart of busy Thamel. I can recommend this hotel a lot - we stayed there many times and we would come again anytime!

I really enjoyed my stays at Hotel Yala Peak. I stayed there every time I was back in Kathmandu. The rooms are good and affordable. The staff there is amazing, always very friendly and helpful. Moreover, the food is delicious. I have probably tried more than half of the menu haha.

Loved my time at Hotel Yala Peak. It is in a great locatuon and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I never had a problem getting hot water either. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also let me store some luggage for a few days when I went out on a trek. The restaurant in the hotel served the best breakfast and also had really tasty lunch and dinner. I recommend staying here.

The staff at Yala Peak was very accommodating, they were quick with answers to any questions we had and were always very friendly. Great value for your money, it's in a tiny alleyway off one of the main roads in Thamel, and the food in the restaurant downstairs is super tasty! Would definitely stay again

Excellent three-week stay. Located in heart of Thamel, small lane access means hotel set back from roadway and zero street/traffic noise. Priced perfectly for budget travellers. Quiet corners on each floor are well suited for solo relaxation/work sites. The staff are certainly its outstanding feature. Small courtyard cafe has excellent food. Great hotel! The staff is super friendly, the cafe is amazing, good place to work as well. I was able to leave my stuff for 2 weeks while trekking without issues. The only thing that I would change is that it is not possible to have a hot shower at night time, but other than that is an amazing place to stay in Kathmandu! Will come back for sure!

Rooms were good - very comfortable beds. The staff was super nice, helpful and spoke really good English. The location is great - really central but also quiet. We also really liked the local food in the restaurant, we had it every day!

Hotel Yala Peak has the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. Nothing was an issue, from after hours checkin, to finding and returning my partner’s lost medication. I cannot stress how helpful and kind everyone here is. The location was perfectly situated in Thamel and the included breakfast was delicious (they have great barista coffee too, which we thought we’d have to forgo in Nepal!). If you’re looking for budget accommodation in Thamel I definitely recommend.

Great hotel the middle of Thamel! I stayed there both times I was back in Kathmandu. The rooms are good and affordable, and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Moreover, they have a super cosy café in the backyard, with great coffee :-)

The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. This is very close to the city center, so the transportation is very convenient. My requirement is to have a room with good internet speed, which will be met soon. The atmosphere of the coffee shop here is really romantic, and I really like it. Drinking coffee in Nepal is truly a great enjoyment of life!

Cute little hotel in the center of Thamel. So far we have been guests 4 times. Very good location: there is a small supermarket right around the corner, it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Garden of Dreams, the entire district is within walking distance. Nevertheless, it is very quiet in the small side street, so you can get a good night's sleep. The restaurant with courtyard is highly recommended for lunch and dinner as well as a small snack in between (we will miss the Paneer Butter Masala!). What we liked most, however, was the family environment. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly friendly, helpful and helped us arrange taxis, laundry and plan excursions. You immediately feel at home! Our rooms were clean and had plenty of storage space for our backpacks. There are rooms with and without a private bathroom. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, good if, for example, you are traveling as a student and have to watch your budget. Top: we were able to temporarily store our suitcases in the hotel's storage space during the trek. We are already looking forward to our fifth visit - hopefully next spring!

Everything is very comfortable and clean, the food is very tasty and also fresh. The best part is the staff! Nabraj, Isha and Milan have made the stay here evermore pleasant!!! We have extended our stay every time we come here because the hospitality cannot be beat!! Durga has created a fantastic atmosphere to be comfortable and relaxed in a bustling city.

The hotel is located is a calm street in Thamel, which is pretty hard to find, but what really sets this hotel apart is its very friendly staff that will help you the best they can with whatever you need. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and there are 2 nice terraces to chill in the sun. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed at Yala Peak for our first few days in Kathmandu. The service and location were superb and we were really impressed with both of these aspects of the stay. The hotel is extremely low cost so expectations on the rooms etc should be aligned to this. That being said the shower was hot if you take not late at night (which we did on our first night, however our host helped us with this for our second night by advising to take it earlier). The staff were so kind, and helped us with our bus ticket to Pokhara and get photos for our trekking permit. Couldn’t have asked for more for service. The cafe is also really nice, quiet and good value. Great coffee! This was a nice welcome to Kathmandu. Thank you Yala Peak.

Comfortable stay in a great location on a travel budget. Beds are comfy and the showers are nice enough. Wifi is a bit hit or miss at times but overall works well. The food is great, especially breakfast, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! 😁

Situated in Prime and well connected location at the heart of Thamel yet amazingly silent and peaceful. The food is great with separate cafeteria and rooms are cozy!! It is an extraordinary place to stay in Kathmandu. The hotel is nice and welcoming. The food is great. Has a cafe along with it. The ambiance is amazing. You can also find the rooftop view. Can order food from the cafe from your room. But most importantly the people in this hotel are amazing. They will make you feel like home.
