Salon de Kathmandu is nearby towards the lane of Radisson hotel! It has been serving since a long run, it has a friendly cozy environment with garden, with wide arena and peaceful ambience. When you want to toast a wine 🍷 together after a hectic post workday or catch up with friends after a long day, mid week sessions. I recommend this place. The lights make it more desirable specially at night time. A romantic getaway or a cozy safe place to hangout. They have intercontinental cuisines,some of it you might've not heard about. The staffs in general were very eloquent and friendly. They have indoor seating arrangements and as well as outdoor seating arrangements. I recommend their special spaghetti. Ambience is too good. I loved it. Hard to find the location. You will miss it but trust the map. It won't disappoint you. I felt it expensive but food is delicious 😋. There is a bit less option for vegetarian though

Great ambiance. Peaceful and serene. The food is quite good but can be on the pricy side for majority of the people. Best to go with groups once a month or on an occasional visit. Oh, and its a superb place to take your date for a fancy meal.

In the hustle of lazimpat this is quiet a quiet venue to enjoy some quality time. Indoor and outdoor both ambiences are pretty fair. Food was okay. Prices okay for the location and overall service. Service men were good as they gave us good review on the drinks and food as well.

Salon de Kathmandu does it right. There are several restaurants in Kathmandu that focus on maintaining a social-media-friendly ambience but falter with what's important: the food. Thankfully, SdK has mastered the art of serving delicious food as well as providing amazing ambience. We ordered the fried meat cheese roll for the appetizer. It was light, creamy, and paired well with their home made vinaigrette. Their creamy pasta and tomato pasta also did not disappoint. High quality food and a beautifully planned and executed atmosphere. Wonderful.

Lovely quiet place for dining in. They have cozy and beautifully decorated indoor space and a wonderful outdoor seating as well. Food here was Delicious and service was pretty good as well.

The food is really top notch. The decor of the entire place is a delight to the eyes. The coffe here is equally amazing. We tried a variety of dishes here and we loved every bit of it. The airbnb becomes even more convenient with the restaurant right beneath. Over all really great food and amazing ambience.

The ambiance is amazing.. they have quaint and very aesthetic garden and bar area. The place is always clean and the pavements to move around are also very well placed and maintained. Besides this outdoors they also have a neat and well designed hall where they can host a bigger party of people as well as host small scale events like an engagement party, or baby shower or a bachelorette dinner before you hit Thamel. Also very suitable for a private dinner with the family. Salon de Kathmandu is tucked away neatly in Lazimpat and is in a very quaint residential area so its peaceful everytime I have visited the place. The food in this place is also very good and after a few visit my favorites stand at the fried snack platter, homemade chips and their seasonal fresh watermelon juice. They also have amazing Bulgogi Platter and very nice Americano with just the right taste. For desserts, we tried their recommendef Apple Pie and Mud Cake. The Mud Cake lived up to its reputation but the same couldn't be said about the Apple Pie for me.

We came here for lunch and ordered their special meat platter and churros for desert. The platter is really really good and the churros is freshly fried I guess, as the texture is perfect with crispy outside. Recommend people to try this place for a date or reunions, the service is great and the place has a good vibe to it.

While it might be on the slightly higher price range, it's definitely worth the food, ambiance, and service.I tried the fried sausage roll, which was good, and the chicken teriyaki rice bowl was really tasty, but I felt that the portion of the chicken could be increased. The drinks could also be improved.I would highly recommend Salon de Kathmandu to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The food, ambiance, and service were all excellent, and while there's room for improvement in some areas, it's definitely worth the visit.

The absolute best cafe in KTM. Best-in-class service, they offered to double the main course as a sub for a side dish! The best lemon cheesecake I’ve had outside NYC; mint lemonade so refreshing. Crazy chilli burger was fantastic, great texture and sauce, and the coffee 5-star hit. Plus the service and environment; juju lassi, without sugar but added cinnamon… wow… one cannot say enough about how wonderful it all is. It’s very ‘off the beaten path’ but so worth finding. A Must Visit.

Very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and kind enough to explain the dishes. The fried platter was the best among all the ordered dishes. Pricey but worth it. The drinks were also very fulfilling and of good quantity. The yak spaghetti was okayish only. The pork bbq burger was toooo good along with the side potato chips. The environment is also very pleasing. The cost is a bit much but is worth it.

It was a evening date for me to visit here. This place was awesome in reality more than in saying. I visited here with recommendation and me too highly recommend this cafe. Place was very warm and cozy. Everything in this cafe was best. Food was best along with their service. You can also make bon fire outside when you're with group of your friends. Overall i find this place amazing.

The service is quite nice and the decor is simple but calm. The food is also quite good, however, the quantity is a little disappointing and everything is on the higher end in terms of price. Not a place for casual dining but might be a good place to go for spending a quiet evening with me loved ones

I believe it was one of the very few places in valley with ambient surrounding. No noise, flowers, silent ambience, retro and old school vibes. The staffs are really good at hospitality, friendly. I recommend trying mocha pie if you visit here.

Restaurant is perfect for your date nights with good food and vibes. The warm tone of the lights and candles sets the mood. Love to stay indoors near their fireplace during winters.

A very subtle pretty place because of the outdoor seating and lighting setup and the indoor space giving off a very cozy feel which made me feel both peaceful as well as lively vibes here, while the food tasted very good as well. This place was perfect for formal and casual conversation for 3 people over dinner and wine.

Waiters all well spoken and polite. The garden sitting invokes a safe and serene vibe. If you're visiting on a holiday, make sure you reserve in advance. Salon doesn't like bright settings, it seems (probably to remain consistent with their green initiative, which reflects in most of the things they do). Go with a loved one or an old friend on a chilly weekend or a rainy afternoon in the evening, get a house wine (they know their wine), light a cigarette, and talk about the rainy childhood days when you first enjoyed the gentle embrace of each other.

Excellent choice of menu and service. The place also offers an outdoor seating with a small souvenir shop. Platters and rice bowls are my favourites.

This place is very different from all the mainstream cafes and restaurants in the city. It's quiet and lovely. You could go their for a date or even a family dinner. It's appropriate for both. The staff is very nice and the food is good. It might be on a slightly higher price range but it's worth the food, ambience, and service. The meat platter is a must have😉
