Robert the owner went over and above to get us onto a dive boat day trip at short notice. Merlin's dive gear was good quality and the dive masters took care of us very well. We felt safe and looked after. I also ended up doing an advanced dive course that went very well based on how good the fun day dive cruise was. One thing to consider if you go out on dive boat cruise, as is fairly normal, is which boat to choose, as while I felt they were all good, some where great vs good. All the boats looked after us, and they had well polished and professional service. Staff were always there and happy to help.

Robert was very fast at responding when organising the trips and very timely and efficient on the day. The prices and packages are clear on the website. Stephen was a great instructor; he was patient and reassuring through dives and managed a mixed group well , which was great for an amateur diver like me who felt calm and confident by the end. The whole group on the boat (divers and instructors) were such a friendly and warm bunch which made the day even more enjoyable! Thank you :)

Merlin Divers is a very well organized diving center. They are willing to help in anything you need. I booked my fun dive less than 24 hours before and they helped me right away, which was very convenient. It was a very good experience and the instructor was very very nice as well.

That was a great experience! We contacted phone number stated on the door, the owner (Robert) contacted us back in 5 minutes. He was super friendly and explained what is the plan to get 1st stage course Open Water. First we studied theory (around 1,5 hours) and then we had pool session to find out how equipment, bouncy, etc work. On our 2nd and 3rd days we practiced diving in open water. Those was super cool days! Our dive master name was Ulysse, he is a super pro! We discussed every step and mistake properly, he was super proactive and attentive to us. Thank you guys (Rober and Ulysse). I will remember these days, it was a real pleasure to deal with you! Highly recommend this diving center!

I had a good experience with Robert and merlin Divers. Even though I stayed in Phuket Town, I travelled to Kamala Beach for three days to take the Open Water Certification Course with Merlin Divers and I had no regrets. Gaston is a very professional but relaxed instructor. I feel I have received top notch instructions from him. I highly recommend them.

Great diving Centre that also gives the opportunity to do half day trips. Great equipment, friendly staff and dive masters. The shop also has everything you might want to need in case you left something at home.

Signed up for the Open Water Diver course and a 1 day fun dive at Ratcha Yai at Merlin Divers and it was an amazing experience! The dive shop owner, Robert, was very welcoming and he helped us sort out all the logistics and admin stuff so we had a very smooth sailing experience. My instructor for the OWD was Steven and he guided me very well for the entire course. We started off with a pool session on the first day followed by 2 dives each the following 2 days. The dive equipment were very well maintained too. Had so much fun that I decided to sign up for another fun dive after completing my OWD! Jannes was our very cool dive guide for the 3 dives and we really enjoyed every part of it. Highly recommend Merlin Divers if you're here in Phuket!

I got my diver certification at Merlin Divers in December 2022. Registration was easy. The first day was lecture/movie/exam and scuba equipment orientation in a swimming pool. The instruction was excellent; both from the owner and my diving instructor. Day 2-3 was diving in the Andaman Sea. I had a great time and highly recommend Merlin Divers.

I booked the two-day boat excursion to the islands opposite Phuket at the Merlin Diving Center on Kamala beach. fantastic experience...perfect organization and a sea full of discoveries....we met several sharks...turtles...clown fish...giant moray eels...lobsters and much more.....the night dive then a fantastic experience. We did the Discovery dive and had an amazing experience thanks to our dive master, Ulysse. My husband and I had only scuba dived once before this so we needed a refresher course and we brought our mom, a complete first-timer and a senior along with us. Ulysse is a phenomenal, seasoned teacher who made us feel safe the entire time. Merlin Divers also took us in with just one day’s notice. Everything from logistics of payment, boat ride, equipment, and the entire experience was completely hassle-free and smooth sailing. We want to come back to do our open cert! One of the best diving experiences I have had, from the time of booking to the finish. Robert responded to my query within 24 hours I think, insane! Very informative and answered all my questions, just really easy booking process overall with high professionalism. I had booked a refresher, or a scuba review, and was very nervous on the morning of. Not having been diving since 2018, I felt really scared. However my instructor Honey made my experience just so great and easy. He went through the skills with me in a very detailed and patient way, ensuring I had understood and I felt he really took the time with me. I had some issues clearing my mask at the start but he calmly walked me through it and just felt very safe throughout the whole day. Thanks Honey for making my scuba review a very nice, relaxed and most of all FUN one, I now feel prepared to go back into the water. I would recommend this centre to anyone who is looking to go diving in Phuket with top notch service, gear and professionalism. Well done guys!

We did Open Water Diver certificate with Robert here in Phuket. It was our first time trying out diving and the whole experience was wonderful. Robert is a patient & professional instructor. He has managed to teach us all essentials for safe diving. We had a great time under the sea !

We have been diving for over 20 years but have had a long break since we had kids. Merlin Divers gave us a good easy set of refresher dives while training our 2 kids. The staff were very good with the children and made them feel safe and confident to do open water dives. The kids loved the diving and now we are a fully certified diver family!

I had a brilliant day diving with Merlin Divers. Nisa was an excellent, chilled instructor and I was lucky enough to have only one other diver in my group. Pick up and drop off at my accommodation in Karon Beach was seamless & I was also super impressed with the dive boat. There were divers from other schools but there was heaps of space for everyone, and their equipment. I also don’t think I’ve been on a boat with as many snacks! I live in Bangkok so next time I’m diving in Phuket, I’ll be contacting Merlin Divers for another great day under the sea!

Our family (2 divers, 2 snorkelers) asked Merlin divers for a boat trip to Kho Phi Phi Island. We got very good advice that this trip would not be perfect for snorkeling and Robert suggested another boat trip as better suited than the one we originally picked. And how right he was. Our family got picked at the hotel and we're brought to a highly professional big boat. We had a guide (actually dive instructor) just for me and my son while my wife and daughter got a snorkeling guide. The food on the boat was plenty and tasty. We made 3 awesome dives saw corals, abundance of fish a wreck and even a turtle. The trip was worth every cent for divers and non divers alike. The equipment and service perfect. Thanks for everything and especially the good advice for selecting the right tour.

Great time diving with Merlin. The instructors were really friendly and very professional, which is not the case everywhere. The equipment is recent and well maintained. I highly recommend this dive center if you come to Phuket. At Merlin, you are not just another tourist!

I did the Open Water Diver at Merlin Divers, a very good decision! The divers are very competent and friendly and I really had a great time and a lot of fun! I can only recommend this dive center, will dive with Merlin Divers again when I come back to Kamala.
