A lovely few hours spent with a small group feeding, scrubbing and showering the elephants. It was an intimate experience in which we could really take our time with the six elephants. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and were very helpful with taking photos for us and sending them to our phones free of charge. The elephants were very happy with lots of space to roam. There were no chains at all and all the elephants interacted with humans calmly. There were clean showers and loos, snacks and drinks and even an art activity painting an elephant magnet to take home. Highly recommended with or without children.

The employees were happy to be at work and share their knowledge. But critically speaking, I do see ear pinching when elephants were being guided around, and with the high ticket price, I would expect an area bigger than a soccer field for the elephant. In all, It would be great to know where the high price goes to. Otherwise, it turns into just another industry.

An amazing place where you can experience spending time with elephants without physical and emotional abuse of the animals. We were greeted by a guide that opened with a safety instruction and explained how to feed the elephants and what not to do. Even though our tour was short I enjoyed petting the elephants and hanging out with them. If you’re not interested in having your animals chained and beaten, this is the place to visit.

Minus: 1. the workers constantly held the ears of the elephants, and this still has a negative effect on the animal, because the ears are its sensitive area. 2. long contact between the tourist and the elephant, there was no feeling of help in the rehabilitation of the animal, great emphasis on beautiful photos of satisfied tourists

What an amazing place! The staff is amazing. Dominique and his team really made us feel comfortable and they are so much fun. The elephants are definitely in good hands in this sanctuary… they are well taken care of and seem very happy to interact with visitors. This is not a commercial place but a loving environment for the animals.

Must visit! The crews were super friendly, especially Toto who was engaging, making us convenient with all the fun activities. Not to mention, the elephants were very cute and they all seem to have a very good care.

A nice place with very friendly staff and well trained elephants. 1250 THB for feeding and a taxi ride back to your hotel. The place is rather small, but it’s not a problem. You have enough space to feed the elephants, hug them and take a shower with them if you wish)

AMAZING… this has been the highlight of our trip. The staff are so friendly and obviously love the elephants they care for. I can’t recommend this enough. I was a little apprehensive at first, just because the elephants are so big ( who’d have thought 😂) but the staff put you at ease and you learn that they really are gentle giants. You get to feed them, mud bathe them, bathe in water with them and the scrub them down. The whole experience from start to finish was unforgettable. Thank you so much

Such a fun time with 3 elephants. We did the feeding session as we have a 7month old (1000bt for adult, free for child). Matt was a fantastic guide, making the time informative and fun!

it was important to me to find an ethical elephant tour while in phuket and im so happy that i found elephant care sanctuary! elephant care sanctuary is professional, kind, hospitable and beautiful. the staff was amazing and shared lots of knowledge, took the most amazing pictures and even gave us cold water and fresh fruit after the tour. we chose the 1.5 hour tour which was the perfect amount of time but we had so much fun that now we want to go back for the full day tour 🤭 i can’t recommend this place enough! if you’re thinking about booking this tour, this is your sign- you won’t regret it 🐘

What a great day. My partner and I are from New Zealand. This experience was 10/10. The team at Phuket Elephant Care Sanctuary genuinely care about the elephants as well as your experience. They engage with you and provide you a memorable day. Would happily do this again due to the caring aspect provided to elephants as well as the no torture. Thanks team, you've made two people very happy. We will see you again in the future. Ps Peter is the sweetest elephant 🐘

What an amazing experience. The Elephants are so happy there ot getting ridden around. You get to spend plenty of time with them feeding them. getting lots and lots of photos. Then off to the creek for rubbing down the elephants with clay and showers frok the trunks. and then having a shower with them after and scrubbing them down. We took our 2 kids 3yr and 7yr old as well and would recommend for anyone with kids also. If we come back to phuket we will definitely come here again and probably do the half day there!

Very beautiful place! Elephants so kind, clean and good. You can see that they are being taken care of. We listened about elephants, cooked food for them, fed them and made magnets with our own hands

Absolutely wonderful experience. The elephants seem happy and the staff are a friendly bunch. It is a very authentic experience and felt like the animals are treated well having been rescued.

One of the most beautiful experiences. Probably morning times are not very popular and so we unexpectedly had a private experience. We went from 8 a.m. and it was just our family. So we had 3 elephants to ourselves for 2 hours. Not only did we give them eat, but we also swam with them in the pool. It's rare to have an experience like this where you can get so close to the elephants but at the same time with very respectful behaviour to them.

A must visit place for an elephant experience !! This animal sanctuary makes you feel at ease and homely !! The staff are friendly and welcoming. The stars of this place are definitely... the elephants !! They are well behaved, playful and spontaneous. A 5 star experience, cosy homely elephant sanctuary ☺️

Unforgettable! The highlight of my trip to Phuket. Such a loving warm sanctuary. Did the half day, definitely recommend All elephants were rescued The staff is super professional and friendly, they explained everything about the elephants Baby Peter stole my heart, I’m in love. The food was also amazing especially the mini cooking lesson

We had the most amazing time here. Dom was the best guide and Peter the elephant stole our hearts. Our toddler took a couple of minutes to warm up, but he can't stop talking about it since we've left. A must try if you're in Phuket. They treat the elephants humanely and kindly. Don't forget to get the free shuttle ride to/from your hotel!

A beautiful place to see happy and well treated elephants!! Our Guide and all the other people are really friendly, funny and explained us a lot about the life of the elephants before they came to the care center! We were lucky because we only were a couple in one group so we really could enjoy the experience alone! Our Guide also took amazing pictures and videos from us! we will always remember this amazing day and the sweet elephants which we were allowed to feed with bananas, take a bath with and scrub them with a brush! (It was the feed and spa experience- about 1,5 hours) Thank you for this experience you all do a great job!!

This place is highly recommended. The elephants are doing great here, they are treated with respect and well looked after. I can only recommend it if you want to come into closer contact with these animals. The tour was well organized (pick-up by shuttle) and we could learn a lot about the rescued elephants. We were able to feed the elephants, bathe with them and then clean them. You can also take as many pictures as you like with your own cell phone.

What a fantastic experience - the elephants are well cared for & trained positively to interact with visitors. The tour group was small enough for everyone to have a good experience with the elephants. Staff were informative, friendly and great fun!

💜💜🐘🐘✨️✨️We're starting on sharing this magical, humbling, joyous experience with these wonderful elephants who are kept in an ethical sanctuary. They have a routine every day and we simply help with this as part of the experience. In fact, the elephants would just carry on themselves as they know the routine so well. The mahouts stay with the elephants 24 hours a day. This sanctuary is privately funded and depends on tourism. We narrowed it down from 10 to this place. The ethical aspects were really important to us. We saw some really unethical places, where there are rides and tricks. These elephants are all rescued and bought from industries where the elephants were made to work. Many places have the 🐘 behind barriers and with limited space. It's amazing to think that some of these creatures eat up to 300-500KG of food as per their body weight. This is the best experience with animals that we've ever had and can't wait to take our boys. Dom, NineNine, Matt, Nick and the mahouts were amazing. I really hope every human has a chance to interact with these soulful creatures. Words can't describe how happy they made us feel 🐘💜🙏✨️🙌🐘. Special thanks to Dom, my Pokemon guy. Love Ed and Ting 💜🙌🙏🐘

This has been one of my dreams and I was able to experience it with a great elephant care taker Don. I would definitely come back and do this again. Don’t miss out on this great experience it brings so much joy and happiness to your heart. Also shoutout to 99 for making us laugh.

This place is wonderful! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to Nick and Matt they were so personable and energetic! We did the half day which included feeding the elephants and then we had a mud bath and bathed them. This sanctuary takes good care of the rescued elephants. No riding!! We then had an authentic Thai lunch that was delicious. Would 100% recommend this place and we would return. Highlight of our trip in Phuket! Thanks from Jillian and Evan (Canada boy).
